Hawk 34 Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 Vince's track record on doing that is very poor. His past actions have established that he will only intervene if you publicly embarrass the company (e.g. by getting arrested). Otherwise, he'll let you keep going until you kill yourself or outlast your usefulness to him. Except that he has a good track record of sending wrestlers to rehab, even if it wasn't in the public spotlight. He sent Eddie, Regal among others and tried countlessly to get Hardy into rehab.

Taker666 Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 How ironic you got two WCW alumni fighting for the former WCW World Title at a former WCW PPV, not to mention you also got the US Title and the Cruiserweight Title on the line. might as well call this PPV WCW One Night Stand.

Vampiro69 Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 Why was that edited for accuracy? It made sense the way it was.

He's clearly worked around Kurt's injury for the past several years and now it's coming to the point that it's so bad he doesn't want him on TV anymore. You can't blame Vince on this one like you can with other situations that I agree with. It's just Kurt Angle is who he is and he will die in the ring. However, this suspension is probably something that should of happened quite a long time ago...but at least it happened before it was too late.

Angle-plex Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Is Umaga the #1 contender now? He has squashed half the roster with ease, then he beat the former champion and #1 contender on RAW. You have to think Edge is a moron after helping Umaga pick up the win as it puts him right in line for a title shot, and Umaga is unstoppable. Right?

Ironically enough said Cruiserweight and US titles are also held by former WCW alumni....
Guest Overworked Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 The boogeyman needs friends, the WWE should dig up charles wright and get him back into Papa Shango mode, also im sure somewhere in titan towers probably under the Million dollar title or Mae Young's baby hand is the phone number for Damien Demento..... Boogeyman needs playmates, a sicko voodoo weirdo Stable.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...riendid=9196578 That's Green bay's own Lil Bastad (Finlay's buddy) I wish I had made more of an effort to befriend him all those hazy bar nights. I guess he was back in GB on Wed. and getting drunk with the local wrestlers.
Guest nokia Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 According to the latest wrestling observer newsletter (for 07/24/06) * Lashley lost the Us title due to punishment (sp?) (not steriods, Meltzer doesn't know the real reason) * Tommy Dreamer got massive heat for his views on the "new" ecw in his blog and was told not to write anything else on the internet..He said it was "in charachter" and in parts with a storyline, but nobody believed it... * Stephanie is pushing for the "Dx run" to last at least to the fall, others want it gone after summerslam

DrVenkman PhD Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Link to Dreamer's blog? http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/commentary/dr...6diarysuspended Click on Archives - I don't know what was originally there, but one of the blogs is an all caps apology about something.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 WWE is really shooting themselves in the foot by burying their young talent on TV. Lashley, Masters and Kennedy all took losses that weren't necessary. I suppose Matt Hardy almost fits too.

As sad as it sounds I think that Vince is trying to be the first one with the Samoan World Champion. He seems like he is trying to do this to step on TNA's feet. He did this with Edge originally when Christian was getting his TNA Title push. Edge won the title a couple of weeks before Christina. Vince can then say he had the "brother" that won the title first.
reign Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 I hope that Umaga goes back down the roster...have him squash some jobbers in 2 or 3 on 1 matches...then have him beat Doink, Eugene, have a few matches with Snitsky and maybe a program with Vis or Val Venis before moving on to Carlito at some point. If you look at the roster there are almost no faces anymore and most(Carlito,Dx the Highlanders and Cena) are programmed with somebody. That's not to say Umaga wouldn't be perfect for DX to work with. I never thought I'd be saying this but with AAE and the current push he's getiing Umaga is not so bad... On a side note is AAE a good worker?
DrVenkman PhD Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 On a side note is AAE a good worker? I'm under the impression he isn't a worker at all. A good old fashioned male manager.

The role of the male manager, what a lost art. It is truly one of the endangered aspects in wrestling. That and real breasts on the women.
