randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 Broncos can't get pressure on the QB or defend against underneath passes. Colts can't stop the run. Battle of two defenses getting picked apart. Edit: I love when they talk about Viniwhatever being a clutch kicker they leave out the fact that he missed two easy FGs against Carolina and they only won the game on his kick because they missed out on 6 earlier points. And Indy wins. Horrible for a 7-0 team, but have to give them their props.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 Damn. Great game, bad result. The Broncos have got to figure out how to better defend against a good QB. Manning just picked them apart the entire game. The difference was in the second half, they converted yards to TDs. The encouraging thing, though, is that the Denver offence can actually perform when they need to. That should give them confidence heading forward when they have to play the Bengals and Chargers. devo 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 Not that the Jets deserve to win today or anything, but I am completely stunned that they won't even consider taking a look a that final play.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 Looks like the Raiders are going to beat the Steelers on a goal-line stand. That should do it for Pittsburgh's playoff hopes. You're not winning eight or nine in a row if you can't beat Oakland.
Guest Paul Report post Posted October 30, 2006 The Colts win. Gee, go figure. I thought that high potent Denver offense would tear them up. Pittsburgh is making Oakland look good. How the mighty have fallen.

randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 How long until people start clamoring for Batch? I remember last year someone brought up a stat that Big Ben threw into double and triple coverage more than anyone else in football. But because he had good luck and physical recievers it worked out. This year it isn't working out.

fairtoflair7 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 That call to end the JET game was the worst call this year. He was in bounds by fucking 2 feet right in front of the ref...and they refuse to review it????? This might cost the Jets a playoff birth
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 I can't watch the game, but it looks like Denver gagged at home. The Broncos are so useless. It's obvious you haven't been watching the game. After giving up a 14-6 halftime lead at home, and showing some gonads to come back from 31-28 down to tie it inside of 2 minutes, giving up an 8 play, 62 yard drive in 1:47 to lose 34-31 looks like gagging from my computer screen. Shanahan got conservative and went for the tie too early and lost a "big game" they should have won. Giving up scores on 7 straight possessions aside from a kneel at the half doesn't look too stellar from the "vaunted" Broncos 'D'. Colts 2nd half drives. 13:58 1:54 IND 44 6 56 Touchdown 10:16 1:22 DEN 12 3 12 Touchdown 15:00 3:23 IND 20 8 50 Field Goal 06:54 3:19 IND 20 7 80 Touchdown 01:49 1:47 IND 20 8 62 Field Goal They didn't even need 3 1/2 minutes on any drive to put up points in the 2nd half. I think the Jets might have been jobbed there. Baker could have possibly gotten both feet in bounds on that catch but it wasn't a reviewable play.
randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 What is and is not reviewable is retarded. I liked the end of the Steelers/Raiders. "The one thing you can't do here is take a sack. You have to get rid of the ball. You just cannot afford to take a sack and - OMG a sack!!"
KingPK 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 What in the HELL was that Denver secondary doing in the second half? I could have had 100 receiving yards with the DBs giving me that much room.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 30, 2006 I'm satisfied this week. Manning carries the Colts kicking and screaming to another close win, and the KILLER BEARS bathe in the entrails of another poor crew of suckers at Soldier Field. Now I'm primed to watch Dallas' embarassment.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 The AFC North is the Ravens to win..especially if they can come out next week at home and beat the Bengals. The Browns are better than the Steelers and they aren't a playoff threat...

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 And now let's see how I did this week in the predictions. Atlanta (4-2) at Cincinnati (4-2): Tough game to call here since both teams need a win. When in doubt in a tossup game like this, go with the home team. Bengals by 6. (Total tossup, but I had the wrong teams. 0 for 1) Houston (2-4) at Tennessee (1-5): Jobber matchup here, though both teams have shown signs of life. Since the Titans have had 2 decent games in a row to Houston's 1, I'll take the Titans by 7. (Titans won by 6. 1 for 2) San Francisco (2-4) at Chicago (6-0): Can't see the Bears having two mediocre efforts in a row, so they should squash the Niners by at least 14. (This was an assbeating as everyone predicted. 2 for 3) Arizona (1-6) at Green Bay (2-4): Stick a fork in the Cardinals, they are done. The Packers aren't all that much but they should be able to win this one at home. Packers by 10. (Packers actually had it even easier than this. 3 for 4) Seattle (4-2) at Kansas City (3-3): Chiefs are a curious team, up and down. Seattle won't have Hasselbeck and maybe not Alexander so they Chiefs should get a home win by about 7. (Chiefs won 35-28. 4 for 5) Baltimore (4-2) at New Orleans (5-1): Will the Saints' magic run continue? The Ravens really need a win right now, so it won't be easy. I think the Saints will manage to edge the Ravens at home though, something like 20-17. (The Saints may well have finally been exposed today. 4 for 6) Tampa Bay (2-4) at NY Giants (4-2): Giants can't afford a home slip up against the Bucs, so they should win this one in tougher than expected fashion. Giants by 7. (Giants won it by 14 and are on a roll. 5 for 7) Jacksonville (3-3) at Philadelphia (4-3): Okay, here are two teams who both desperately need a win. McNabb should rebound though, so I'll take the Eagles 28-21. (Jacksonville is back to winning the only way they can: 13-6. 5 for 8) 4:00 games: St. Louis (4-2) at San Diego (4-2): This should be a fun, high scoring game. Can't see the Chargers losing two in a row, but I can see the Rams losing 2 in a row. Chargers by 7, maybe 35-28. (Wasn't as close as that, Chargers roll. 6 for 9) Pittsburgh (2-4) at Oakland (1-5): The Raiders finally got a win, but let's not push it here. Steelers should beat the crap out of them even with Batch. Pittsburgh by 14. (Oh my God. Stick a fork in the Steelers, they are done. 6 for 10) Indianapolis (6-0) at Denver (5-1): Okay, the Broncos actually have to play someone who can (gasp) score. Even though the Broncos usually have the Colts' number in the regular season (only to get stomped in the playoffs) I'll say the Colts edge them 21-17. (Higher scoring than I figured, but the result was the same. 7 for 11) NY Jets (4-3) at Cleveland (1-5): Ugh, what a boring game. The Jets should be able to get a road win here, but likely in a low scoring affair. Jets 16-10. (Browns got a surprising win here. Bah. 7 for 12) 8:15: Dallas (3-3) at Carolina (4-3): Doesn't matter if it is Bledsoe or Romo, the Panthers should be able to win this one at home. Carolina by 7. (Okay this shocked me. 7 for 13) Well I started off good but man there were some bizarre results today.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 30, 2006 Bears lead the league in points scored with 221 and fewest points allowed with 69. So that's good. Fun fact: Higher PPG avg. than the Colts. Fake edit: well, that goes without saying given that stat, I just like saying that the BEARS offense has scored more than the friggin' COLTS.
