kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 A few notes this week: 1) Because of the upcoming hippie Thursday games, I'll be posting spreads a day or so earlier than I normally do, which is currently Wednesday/Thursday. If enough of you whine and bitch about the "unrealistic" spreads that sometimes occur early on in the week, I'll just make the Thursday games available earlier in the week with all the other games to follow later. 2) If you have any ideas on how to make this contest better, let me know via PM within the next few weeks. I'll take all the non-retarded ideas and put them up to a vote late in the season like I did last year (anyone with a team gets a vote). And for those point-spread whiners, remember that whenever "let's make this a straight-up pick 'em contest" gets proposed, it gets shot down. One thing I'm always on the lookout for is to find a way to minimize those contests where only one or two (and sometimes zero) differing picks determine a matchup, which is what the point spreads do a decent job of preventing for the most part, especially when compared to the year this was a straight-up pick 'em contest. Lightning Flik Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Hey, kkk, I think the league is fine. Sure, I'm rotting at the bottom of the league, but its fine the way it is. When I whine about the points spread, its more been of "you fucking kidding me" types. I mean, Seattle should've covered last week. So sorry if it makes it sound like I'm complaining about the spread, because I'm not. San Fran with 17 again. (I think that's my safe number) Baltimore (4.5) Buffalo N.Y. Sadly, and this might make you feel better, I'm the worst in a money pool ... at least here's only for bragging rights. No, it doesn't for the most part. I had two winnings seasons. In the kkk Bowl I, I was 9-6, in the kkk Bowl II, I was 11-4 (I think). So I'm like 20-9 before this season. Now, I'm 22-16 and just keep digging my own ditch. Then again, I haven't been able to follow the NFL as well as I did in the first two seasons which might be the reason I'm sucking. Or it could be the fact that this season's been absolutely unpredictable. Either or. Nah, Flik, you're still the worst here at TSM. Hey, he's tied w/ me for the worst here. I thought I was last by point differential, but apparently we're both last in that (-10 for us both) so I guess this week we'll really see who is dead last.
