Enigma Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 In a move that likely won't make World Wrestling Entertainment management too thrilled when they hear about it, TNA stars Kip and BG James, the Voodoo Kin Mafia, are currently outside tonight's WWE house show in Knoxville, TN playing up their current "war" storyline. The team is flanked by a camera crew, TNA writer Vince Russo, and a group of "fans" with TNA posters and signs. Thus far, VKM have shot vignettes where they attempted to pick up tickets from the box office and complained about the $50 ticket price. They are also interviewing fans that are entering the show, asking them their thoughts on WWE and DX. At this point, no security for the venue or World Wrestling Entertainment has attempted to prevent the TNA crew from continuing to film footage.

snuffbox Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Heh. Sopp/JesseJames are more entertaining than DX. Which is sad really.
NoCalMike Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Sounded like fun until it was mentioned that Russo was with them.
Annabelle Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 ya right. come on. wrestling is all horrible. but not as horrible as this shockingly unoriginal & desperate rehashing of the first time this happened. it shocked. is anyone shocked at this? anyone who cares is a total fucking loser.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 What exactly are they going for here? All they are doing is bringing added publicity to WWE. Hell if they buy tickets to the show, WWE could as easily claim "We're so good the competitors are coming to watch us" if they so desired. This cannot end well for TNA at all.
Star Ocean 3 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I'm pretty sure it's added publicity for TNA, as well.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Why? TNA will show it on their shows to fans that's already tuning in. It's not like WWE will acknowledge any of this, so it's basically two former WWFers making asses out of themselves for an "indy" company that no one knows about.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 All WWE have to do is ignore this nonsense, and TNA will keep looking like a little child crying for attention.

Star Ocean 3 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I don't want to say "any publicity is good publicity," but...

Hunter's Torn Quad Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I don't want to say "any publicity is good publicity," but... That cliche is almost never actually true, and it certainly isn't true here. It would be one thing if TNA sent down a big star or a top-notch worker who can actually brag about having some sort of special quality or talent. Instead, they sent down a couple of WWE rejects who the best thing they can do with is recreate an angle that was last able to be effective over eight years ago.

This show took place in Knoxville, which isn't that far from TNA's original home-base. With local promotion in that area, it's not like TNA is something those people are just finding out about. How anyone can see this as anything BUT a desperate attempt at being edgy (yet failing miserably) befuddles me. If it was creative, such as Nash and Shelley involved, it'd be slightly better but here it's the two side kick bitches of DX walking around calling out Michael Hickenbottom and Paul Levesque in their horrible attempt to appeal to a market they already have gotten notice from.
Just John Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 This'll look great for TNA when they air it on Impact and we see WWE out-drawing TNA's weekly TV show and ppv's with a fucking house show that only features 1/2 of their roster.
Craig Th Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Since this is TNA guys, this is moved.

Actually, Most of TN doesn't know about TNA. They never promoted themselves outside of Nashville. In any way, shape or form
Hawk 34 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Doesn't mean that it's not pathetic. It's still nothing but a waste of time. Usually, I wouldn't say James and Sopp could be used better but even THEY are being wasted with TNA's idiocy here.
Star Ocean 3 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 how is james gang not wrestling a bad thing?
Hawk 34 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 It means more time devoted with these moronic skits.
MikeJordan23 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=18038 A TNA camera crew featuring B.G. & Kip James, as well as Vince Russo and Jeremy Borash, showed up at the WWE Raw show tonight in Knoxville. They filmed outside the arena. Some of those involved bought tickets and went into the building and played it up. HHH even acknowledged them at ringside similar to how he treated Kanyon when Kanyon tried to shoot his own angle.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 How did HHH acknowledge Kanyon?
MikeJordan23 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 How did HHH acknowledge Kanyon? "Prior to the match Kanyon was in the front row and held up two signs, one read “Hey HHH ask Vince why I was really fired” and the other said “HBK pray for my gay soul.” HHH then got on the mic and said “We ARE better than Kanyon” and then said “Now that the independent portion of our show is over” as Kanyon left and went into his Michael Buffer imitation."

A fair point; but don't you (as TNA) have to send somebody that the WWE fan would recognize? If they have no knowledge of TNA and who they are, what good does sending down Samoa Joe if only a handful of fans know him from any other Samoan-looking fan who may be in attendance? Personally, I'd have sent Angle. WWE fans know Angle, he's a huge star, and if you go so far as to have Joe jump him outside the arena....you've got yourself some hype for Joe-Angle II among the WWE fans. Might not be much, but a buy's a buy.

That would have really amped up this rivalry, and possibly bring some WWE fans over....And i think Vince would have to respond in some way if Angle were involved.

tominator89 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 This storyline (the VKM stuff) makes no sense. What could possibly be the pay off?
