I knew he was gone. its around that time of the show when the annoying guy who no one likes yet stays on. finally gets cut . I was just happy to see Phil not in the bottom for once, maybe he got the country vote? actually I was hoping Lakisha would get cut, cuz now she may stick around and cause phile to get eliminated sooner. (i'm sorry I just don't like her and dont get why she would be so popular, clearly melinda and jordin are better singers IMO)

Last night I too thought Simon looked disgusted at Chris mentioning Va Tech, but I had the same reaction. It was such a cheap, blatant attempt to pander for votes. And you know what? It worked big time. Chris was in the top 4.

 

Sanjaya is finally gone. The show has basically lost its car wreck appeal, since most everyone left has some basic level of competence.

 

I think I've figured out Phil's appeal. He's the lone verifiable heterosexual male left.

Jordin and Melinda were fantastic. Everybody else was forgettable. Solid, but forgettable.

I turned Idol on to hear Jordin scream an entire song, and sound way off-key. Also, she shouldn't walk during performances. She gets gassed easier than the Big Show.

Melindas performance was tremendous. It was a superstar performance, IMO, and till this point she didn't have one. And I hated that song.

I liked everyone tonight except Lakisha, including Chris. He was passable.

 

As far as I'm concerned it should break down like this:

finally watched it on DVR just a bit ago...either Lakisha or Blake is toast tomorrow...Timberfake was okay, Phil actually wasn't too bad. Melinda is still obviously winning this thing.

Like Lush, I just watched this. I really got nothing out of Phil's performance, and LaKisha's was just there. Blake will still be around because his fans are probably scared of a repeat from last week.

Ouch, that was harsh Leena. I didn't like the song choice either, and I was back to not feeling it with her performance, even though the emotion was there and all that. Still, bad Jordin is better than good Phil and/or Chris and/or Kish.

I guess I just like Jordin less than most. She's definitely had her good performances. And she's generally likable in every way (which makes her kind of boring). But, when she's bad, she's really bad. The girl seriously needs to get in shape. Her and LaKisha... damn. Stay still.

 

Judges pimped her from the start, though... so, they won't say anything negative about her.

 

And if she beats Melinda, I will not be pleased.
