Greatest WWF Matches of the 90's Poll/Tourney

Well, it's been done already by DVDR, but that poll was several years ago and times and opinions have changed. The main reason behind this project is so I can make a DVD collection featuring the greatest matches of the 90's, and I usually have a tough time picking for that kind of thing. So I figured I would enlist the help of the noble minds of TSM to aid me in my quest.

 

This is the nomination thread, so everyone can list up to ten matches (but no more) that they prefer for whatever reason. Seeding and size of the tournament field will be determined by nominations. Let's see how this does.

Me and my close friend are such big Hart marks, and we love the WM X encounter, but we can't even watch the SS rematch. Thats how much we hate it.

 

Its the absolute worst example of a WWF Cage match. Its a fucking climbing contest all match, bores the shit out of us.

What about HBK/Taker from Ground Zero. Just as good as the HIAC match, maybe even better.

oh man, waaaay too much goofing around at the beginning of the match and the non-finish kinda kills it for me. I mean, it was fun and all, the best spot being HBK trying to get into the door of the IYH stage set to escape UT, but really, the match was nothing more than setup for HIAC.

 

by the way, did UT ever get his job back from HBK? He lost the casket match at Rumble 98 and then that was it for the fued as HBK retired after WM14 and UT moved on to Kane. I don't think they've had another match since have they?

 

If I'm not mistaken, Taka and Sasuke trumped their Stampede match with one either on Raw or at the next PPV.

Yeah, I don't think HBK and Taker have had any contact since the 98 Rumble. The one thing I remember was when Taker returned at Judgment Day 2000, he chased guest referee HBK to the back, sort of. I'm hoping they end up facing off at some point during this year's Rumble... they are the top two possible winners, anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the ending to this year's Rumble almost mirrors the ending to the 95 Rumble, just sub out Bulldog with UT.
