MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 The Os bullpen blows. I think they should dump Baez, he is absolutely abysmal.
Guest George's Box Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Michael Wuertz is Rick Vaughning it here. Take him out, Lou. Way to blow a 4-0 lead and Brewers loss.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Milwaukee really came up limp in the 8th. Awful.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Milwaukee really came up limp in the 8th. Awful. I think Yost did a pretty piss poor job of managing the bullpen there. How do you blow a 6-2 lead in the eighth inning? Yeesh.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 After this stretch of games vs Toronto, DC and KC, the Os are going to be the laughing stock of baseball easily. I swear to god, they're going to probably lose at least 2 of 3 to each team, and probably even get swept by the nats..
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I have no idea why he let Shouse start the 8th. Probably wouldnt have mattered if Turnbow started anyway with the filth he brought to the mound.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 It was pretty obvious he didn't have anything after those first two batters. Yost is a glutton for punishment, I guess.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I read somewhere that Austin Kearns beat up John Smoltz in Washington and broke his hand or something.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I dunno. Smoltz was probably giving him the ol' stinkeye or something.
Guest George's Box Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Smoltz went to tag Kearns between third and home and Kearns pretty much ran right through poor Smoltzie's hand.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Dice-K with his first complete game this season. Its also the first time all year he went past the 7th. Red Sox/Brewers World Series? Sign me up!
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Dice threw 124 pitches tonight. I hope he is as durable as they say he is because that's a hell of a lot of pitches in a May blowout.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Al, what happened to Bobby Abreu? Some of it could just be bad luck. You have to wonder though if the lack of power is taking its toll. As he becomes less of a power threat, pitchers can safely challenge him, negating his tremendous plate discipline.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Woody Williams just hit a homerun against Matt Morris and the San Fran Gigantes; the 4th of his career. Only 742 more till he passes Bonds! 2-0 'Stros! Exclamation point!

Guest George's Box Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Who do I root for when the Yankees play the White Sox? Quelle désastre! You won't have that problem tonight, because they aren't. I think I'd have to go Yankees on this one. I want the Sox to get roughed up heading into the crosstown games on Friday.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Derrick fucking Turnbow. If it makes you feel any better, it shouldn't even have come down to that, as the ump blew the call on Victorino at the plate in the 8th.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Hunter Pence is friggin' legit. He hasn't made an out tonite. A double, single, walk, and, with the 'Stros down 5-3 in the 8th, he hit a two-run homer off of Armando Benetiz to tie it up. He also earned everybody in the ballpark a free Chic-Fil-A sandwich, as his homerun banged off the Chic-Fil-A 'Fowl' pole.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 And there's El Caballo with the walk-off! Carlos Lee went 4 for 4 with two homeruns. Hunter Pence went three for three with a homerun and 2 RBI. Good Lord, this was a good game and a good sign for the Astros.
Bored 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Huston Street became about the 20th A's player it seems this year to go on the DL. Justin Duchscherer might be following Street on to the DL so tonight the A's tried Alan Embree and Jay Witsick to close it out and shockingly it didn't work, blowing a three run lead in the 9th to the f'n Royals. Also the A's have so many players unavailable tonight (Marco Scutaro started in right field) that back up catcher Adam Melhuse is the only available player on the bench. Nick Swisher pulled up a bit lame going for a flyball in the 9th and the game might be going to extra innings so this could get interesting.
