- While the plans for the “Mr. McMahon is dead” angle change on a regular basis. There appears to be division within creative regarding the direction from here on out. Some would like to see the angle dropped altogether in light of Sherri Martel’s recent passing, others want the angle to run into 2008, and another camp is wanting the angle to wrap up next month, possibly on Raw or at the 7/22 Great American Bash PPV.

- Vince McMahon himself was hands on with the 6/18 Raw, but was very frustrated how the show came off.

- It was Vince’s idea to bring back Stephanie McMahon to television, and WWE expected she would get a mixed reaction for her show ending 6/18 Raw promo.

- WWE was convinced the “death” angle was a home run, the company secured the 3 hour Raw for 6/25. Speaking of Raw this week, Steve Austin has been asked to appear, but has yet to commit to doing it.

- The actor playing chief investigator, Daniel Peck, is under the impression he will finish up on Monday.

- Johnny Knoxville has agreed to work the Summerslam WWE-Jackass angle. The angle is currently scheduled to set up a match at the 8/26 Summerslam PPV.

- As previously noted, WWE hall of famer Jesse Ventura had a meeting with WWE on 6/14. Ventura dressed up for the meeting, which may result in a DVD deal. There has also been speculation that "The Body" could return to television as a general manager.

- Dusty Rhodes wants an on air role as ECW commissioner, with the idea of Rhodes feuding with an ECW heel general manager. The chances of doing the angle is said to be 50/50. Rhodes is currently working as a ECW writer with Dave Lagana.

- Randy Orton has been motivated and seems happier since being sent home for trashing a European hotel room.

- The current plan is to push the Hardy Boyz as singles that loses all the time but stays over. There is talk of tweaking Jeff and giving him a prankster character backstage.

- Part of the reason Brian Kendrick and Paul London were drafted to Raw during the supplemental draft is due to London's internal heat for security leaks. London told a fan about Ashley doing "Survivor," which was supposed to be a secret and it ended up all over the internet. The plan for Kendrick and London is to put over Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, and other heel tag teams.

- "Survivor: China," which will feature WWE diva Ashley Massaro will air on Thursday nights @ 8PM. CBS contacted WWE about using a superstar. Both Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn supported Ashley getting the nod. The filming of the program will keep Ashley away from WWE television until the end of the year, which explains her suspension. On a side note, reports suggest that sales for Massaro's Playboy magazine were disappointing.

- The big push for developmental talent Daniel Rodimer (Dan Rodman) is apparently back on. Stephanie McMahon and John Cena are both high on Rodman, who was seen backstage on the 6/11 Raw.

- TNA has been calling Rob Van Dam, but at this point, RVD is not planning on doing any wrestling for the time being. Van Dam plans to rest for awhile, and doesn't want to think about wrestling right now.

- The finish of the Chris Benoit and CM Punk vs. Marcus Cor Von and Elijah Burke on ECW television was apparently changed several times during the day. They agreed on Benoit going over with his sharpshooter, but the referee (calling the action as a shoot) disqualified Cor Von for not leaving the ring by his allowed five count.

- WWE moved The Boogeyman to ECW because WWE's third brand is to become a higher level developmental territory. On a side note, The Boogeyman (Marty Wright) is 42 years old.

- King Booker was moved to Raw largely because he has worked with almost everyone on Smackdown.

- During the 6/1l Raw featuring the draft, WWE placed several wrestlers in holding areas when it was time for a draft pick to be revealed. The goal was to keep everyone guessing, including the WWE superstars.

- Steve Austin is personally endorsing Mr. Kennedy.

- There are people in WWE that think Gene Snitsky, due to his size and scary look, can be like Kane as a heel. The current plan has Snitsky getting a push, and in 2008, facing John Cena in a title program.

- Carlito's brother Eddie Colon recently reclaimed the WWC Universal title in Puerto Rico. Eddie remains under a WWE developmental deal and is said to be technically sound but doesn't show alot of charisma and lacks size.

Well..uh..who would be the Heel GM? Is he aware they haven't had one since Heyman left?

If that's true, that is really f*cked up. Though the reason seems a bit strange. How would they know Paul London was the one to leak it, and even if that is true, why the hell are they going to reduce them to jobbers for that? Randy Orton trashes a hotel room and is main eventing Vengeance.

Because Paul London himself went on record telling people about Ashley. If a talent is openly telling people about internal stuff, they're likely to shut them up somehow.

How does dressing up equal a DVD?

It means he was probably there to talk about a deal for a dvd and possibly shot interviews for said DVD.

Also, if Rhodes needs a heel to go against, I'd nominate Striker as the heel gm of ECW.

If Burke's injury is anything serious, he would be the best option IMO.

Why is Ashley going to Survivor some sort of state secret that can't be discussed? London probably mentioned it a few times in passing thinking it was no big deal either way.

What is with this idea for a Snitsky push? Do they seriously think that by 2008 anyone will give a shit about Snitsky? If they had originally done a push with him in early 2005 after the Kane/Lita "You killed my baby!" storyline then it may have had a shot. But this just reeks of another lame Albert type push, except with a lesser worker.

Because as Meltzer said, CBS approached the WWE on casting a diva, which if this is the case exposes Survivor as a complete and total sham.

Why is it the Hardys always get this angle? It never works and usually ends with the "nothing for you" speech followed by a pink slip.

Well, at least Dusty as an ECW GM *KINDA* makes sense, seeing he did compete in the original ECW.

Sure it was only for a short while, but he was there.

I guarantee nobody in power in WWE has any clue Dusty blew by there in 2000.

They bothered to put an ECW match on Dusty's dvd, so someone noticed.

Actually for the past 2 seasons, it's been pretty common knowledge that Survivor has went looking for cast members from various modelling agencies and the like. It's because they wanted to diversify the cast and not very many minorities sign up for the show on their own. Although I'm not sure how casting a white female "wrestler"/Playboy model counts as diversifying their cast...

Survivor (and most reality shows) have always recruited a portion of their contestants for the eye candy and stage presence factors. That doesn't mean that the actual game play is illegitimate, just that not every contestant makes the show cast in the regular way.

The recruiting of minority contestants for Survivor is a more recent development, tied to that desire for diversity.

Hasn't Matt had the "singles star that loses all of his matches but stays over" gimmick since 2003?

i think some of this is a load of BS, Matt Hardy has had big wins over guys like Kennedy, Booker, Regal and Finlay to name a few, and i dont buy the London/Kendrick notion either otherwise they would have lost last week vs WGTT

Worse yet was Dave reporting that Big Vis would be repackaged and turned into a unbeatable monster in order to headline PPVs in early 08
