The 16-year-old stunned the world last month when she revealed she was pregnant with her first child - and now the Zoey 101 star has allegedly agreed to let her mother Lynne bring up the child in a bid to retain her career and grow up like a normal teenager. A source tells U.S. magazine Star, "After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mother Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do. Lynne says Jamie doesn't understand the life long consequences of having a baby. "She still wants her daughter to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have a career. So she'll take the front seat of caring for the baby and take the pressure off her daughter. "Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn's future in the business and she's expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born." Fucking whore. Imagine when this kid is old enough to understand what happened. Your Mom had to continue her career and just didn't have the time to take care of the child that she helped conceive. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 When I was passing the headline in the grocery store I thought she might be giving the child up for private adoption, which I considered horrible... until I found out the woman that raised an unstable Britney and a girl who tossed aside her career by getting pregnant is getting the child. EDIT: When I mean horrible, not for giving an unplanned baby up for adoption, but for the inevitable circus around the kid and the people trying to adopt them. Half my cousins are adopted from mothers who were unable to care for them and I'm anti-using abortion as a late form of birth control. This is the time when you hope some crazy ass barren Maternity Nurse steals the kid, moves to Brazil and raises it as her own. It'd be better for the kid. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 I'm not really going to blame Lynne Spears too much for her daughters' problems, other than whoring them out to celebrity culture, which, yes, is a bad idea, but I don't think a lot of mothers who do this are consciously making a bad decision. She could have just taken the easy way out for her life and her career but at least she's facing the consequences of what she's done and putting up with all the slurs and insults. Also, her sister is batshit insane which can't be fun. People should seriously cut her more slack. A scared 16 year old girl does not need to be the BUTT of late night comedian jokes or on the receiving end of national criticism about how dumb she is. Spears, who has not slept since Saturday, had allegedly deteriorated to the point where this was basically the only option. Unlike her last ambulance ride, Spears was tranquilized and went peacefully. TMZ says: Britney's psychiatrist told her she was going to the hospital. Her response was, "Is something wrong?" She was not resistant. She made hot chocolate and waited before paramedics arrived and placed her on a gurney....We're told during her initial 72-hour stay she cannot be forced to take medication against her will. If, however, she refuses to take meds, the plan is for the the psych to go to court and have Britney held for an additional 14 days, during which time he can administer proper medications." There also seems to be a power struggle between Osama "Sam" Lutfi and Spears' parents over who will be making the medical decisions for Britney: As of right now Jamie and Lynne Spears have been told they are not calling the shots in making medical decisions on behalf of Britney. Right now, it appears Sam Lutfi is in the driver's seat, but that could all change....Right now, the doctors at UCLA are working with Lutfi and not the parents, but lawyers have been called and the tension in the air is thick. We're told Jamie was screaming at Sam in the hallway, accusing him of trying to control his daughter's mind." I don't know, controlling Britney's mind doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult. I'm thinking you probably wouldn't have to do a lot "trying". Update: TMZ is reporting that once Britney got in the hospital she admitted she's been taking Adderall (legal speed) and abusing laxatives (taking up to ten a day). She was also "hurling profanities at her parents and staff". Note: Britney has been abusing laxatives for quite a while, as we first pointed out here. TMZ reports that lil' Brit Brit Spears has been classified as "G.D." - Greatly Disabled. GODDAMN! That's what I first thought when I saw G.D. It really means she can't do anything for herself. She can't do things like get food, clothes, shelter, basic needs. This also means she could be committed involuntarily. Brit's apparently in some kind of manic state due to her bipolar disorder. She raised shit this morning and it took nearly two hours to fully admit it. She reportedly shouted at her mother, "the only reason she's admitting me is because she wants to be alone with her boyfriend! She wants to sleep with my boyfriend!!" Brit, I think you're the only one that wants to sleep with Adnan. Actually, I think I would hit it. Well, his landing strip might feel good against my buttocks. You never know! Brit also talked about her kids and how much she missed them. We know that Brit can definitely get her own food. She can't get healthy and good food, but she can get her own food. They are right about clothing part though. She obviously can't dress on her own! She needs help with that shit. I don't know who the hell is leaking all this shit to TMZ! ONTD has a memo that went out to all UCLA Medical employees telling them to keep their shit shut and not look at people's medical records aka don't look at Brit's shit. Anyway, if she is classified as G.D. then hopefully they will keep here there for a while, so she can take a long ass nap, write in a journal and watch the Anne of Green Gables movies.
