- Arena is pretty full except for the top deck which is blacked off. They were really checking signs. He saw one get taken away that said "Vince's bastard son is on the juice". Before the tapings they aired several videos, in one they showed Trish Stratus and she got a huge pop.

Dark Matches:

(1) Jesse and Fetus d. Los Locos. Match was awful as can be.

(2) Dave Taylor & Paul Burchill d. ??? & Kevin O'Neil.

ECW Tapings:

(1) Boogeyman d. Matt Striker on a DQ when Big Daddy V got invloved and destroyed him. Striker held Boogeyman on a table and BDV came off the top with a splash driving him through the table.

(2) The Miz d. Balls Mahoney. Match wasn't to bad. Kelly checked on Balls after the match until Miz grabbed her arm and made her go to the back with him.

- A video on CM Punk aired.

(3) Kevin Thorne & Elijah Burke d. Steven Richards & Tommy Dreamer in what was announced as an Extreme Rules match however no weapons were used. It was pretty decent overall.

(4) CM Punk d. John Morrison to win the ECW title in about 12 minutes. Punk dominated most of the match. At one point some guys in the floor seats started chanting steroids during the match and Morrison just gave them a dirty look. When Punk won the crowd went nuts.

- Things are being changed over for Smackdown. A fan had a "Michael Vick is my dad" sign but it was taken away.

- The merchandise stand has mostly all Cena and Mysterio stuff. It might not mean anything but they have nothing for any of the guys who are supposedly suspended.

- Nigel McGuinness is at the show. He was seen talking to Justin Roberts in the parking lot where the wrestlers park and enter at.

Smackdown Tapings:

- Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in an "I Quit" match was shown on the big screen for later in the show.

- MVP hosts the "VIP Lounge" with Matt Hardy as his guest.

Smackdown will have Rey vs Chavo in an I Quit Match and Batista/Kane vs. Khali/Finlay.

Seems like the finish to one or both of those matches will be used as the means to write someone out of things.

Guess they forgot Rey was linked to Benoit's doctor.

Wasn't Batista on the list?

Why's he in the damn main event?

I'm so sick of Batista. He'd probably become fresh again if he was suspended for a little while.

Someone mentioned something about spacing out the suspensions... that's not a bad idea. Have Rey pin Batista in the triple threat, causing him to go berserk on Rey and then have Teddy suspend him for it.

Otherwise, adding Dave into the match does NOTHING for it and makes no amount of sense anyway.

It's not even a bittersweet deal that Punk won. It's just plain bitter. I mean he was only given the belt because Morrison is suspended.

He was going to win it at the PPV anyways. They just had to do the title change early.

While it's nice to see Punk finally get the win over Morrison the way this all played out was one of the lamest pieces of booking in recent memory. Punk jobs to the guy cleanly on two PPVs, then jobs at another with the slightly dubious "feet on the ropes." Then Morrison is suspended so he just jobs it to Punk anyway, which is what they should have done back at the GAB. Now they end up making no money off the title change.

ECW is an uber-afterthought in the world of WWE and isnt pushed hard or put on good spots on the ppvs- it wasnt going to make money anyway if they waited til the ppv to have Punk win it, basically. Its just a simple undercard feud, externally.

So Chavo is definately written off for now, same with Morrison. This actually might be the best for Morrison since himself and the creative genuises at WWE can re-evaluate that character a bit, Morrison can practice his mic skills a bit more, etc.

Batista/Rey/Khali is a much more marketable ppv title match than the Rey/Khali booking too. I dont think Batista is, at this stage, in any trouble with the suspensions, so they are just basically continuing to give him the title chase push, probably leading to Punjabi Prison at No Mercy. Makes way more sense than having Batista/Finlay on the next ppv anyway.

What a great pic.

Fail to see how somebody who was handed a belt because the (then) champion was suspended=great picture. Should have given the belt to Burke, he's far more interesting than CM Punk is.

But hey whatever, if you wanna ride his dick, go ahead.

We're all missing the true highlight of the night:

- Kenny Dykstra beat Chuck Palumbo via forfeit. This will be edited out of the show as Palumbo's bike didn't start.

Smart move: Dykstra goes to the back "in search of Palumbo" while the bike is fixed; when it is, he hauls out to the ring in it and Dykstra has to comically dash from the locker room to the ring to make the match and avoid a countout.

WWE decision: Dykstra wins by forfeit, and then just have a completely separate match between the two for no apparent reason.

Yes, because that wouldn't have been completely random and out of place. I like Burke, don't get me wrong, but he's spent the past few weeks either losing or nearly losing to Balls Mahoney or being completely aimless ever since his feud with Punk ended.

I forget, why did Morrison have the belt?

Some more detailed spoilers:

The show starts with MVP in the ring in the VIP Lounge. He brings out his new Tag Team Championship partner, Matt Hardy. They showed the recap of MVP making the pin last week. He says he won the match on his own because he is better than Matt. Matt had them show another clip of MVP with both belts on the phone telling someone that he won the Tag titles on his own. Matt comes in to get his belt, sucker punches MVP and takes his belt. Back to the lounge and MVP tells Matt they have a rematch at Unforgiven with Deuce & Domino. He also tells Matt that he has a match tonight as a warm-up against Deuce. He calls for a ref and the guys to clear the ring.

Matt Hardy over Deuce - MVP tripped Deuce and Matt got the pin for the win.

Kenny Dykstra and Victoria come out for a match. Chuck Palumbo's music hits but he never comes out. It plays for several minutes and there's nothing. Victoria gets a make and says that Kenny is a future hall of famer. Kenny says that he has the brightest future on Smackdown and that he's so good that nobody in the back wants to face him. We announces himself the winner by forfeit. There may have been a problem though as a production guy flew over the barricade and ran to the back.

(This segment was retaped - see below. Motorcycle problem?)

Kane & Batista over Finlay & Khali.

Jamie Noble set a leprechaun trap in the back for Hornswoggle using Lucky Charms as bait.

Chuck Palumbo w/ Michelle McCool over Kenny Dykstra w/ Victoria.

In the back, Hornswoggle takes the bait and gets under the trap, Noble pulls the rope but it breaks. He checks and the Cruiserweight belt is under it. He goes for the belt but it gets pulled out and the trap falls on Noble.

Cruiserweight Championship:

Hornswoggle over Jamie Noble via Countout. Noble didn't come out so the ref rang the bell and counted him out. Jamie hit the ring right at the count of 10 but not in time.

I Quit Match: Rey Mysterio over Chavo Guerrero. Rey took out Chavo the same way by hitting his knee with a chair repeatedly while he was hung up in the corner.
