Timmy8271 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 I picked Opera. Firefox is good but I noticed it takes too much memory. Plus I like that everything is in one window ( I know Firefox has tabs but the download window is a seperate thing). I can't fathom why anyone uses Internet Explorer anymore?
Craig Th Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I just use Firefox for StumbleUpon. But everything else I use Safari for. Firefox is too slow to load and I just don't like it.
Vanhalen Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Actually Mole you got me into Safari a little while ago, I do like it, but I still use Firefox, just for the extensions(noscript, flashgot etc), surprised there are no votes for IE so far, thought IE 7 was supposed to be a decent browser?
Timmy8271 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I got IE7. It's decent but still shitty compared to the others. I've never used Safari before. Is it like Firefox?
Vanhalen Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Kinda but with the Mac interface, it is really fast at loading up pages tho
bobobrazil1984 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Mine is Firefox - it feels light and pages load up faster. Though a lot of that is due to Adblock Plus extension. I'd use the new IE which is not bad more if it had Adblock plus on it.
Guest Smues Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 IE. 90% because I'm a creature of habit and have always used it, and it works plenty well for my liking. Plus it's the only browser on all the various computers I use throughout the course of my day 10% because of how much everybody shits on it.
Vanhalen Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 Man, ita a runaway victory for Firefox so far, wonder would the TSM user stats are like, in terms of web browsers used to access the forum
Steviekick Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I mostly use Safari, Firefox on occassion if the page won't load correctly. At work, it's IE and I really don't like it.
AntiLeaf33 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Firefox. Love the interface and pages load quickly
mfn Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Firefox. Anyone that uses IE annoys the piss out of me.
foleyfanforever88 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 I mostly use Safari, Firefox on occassion if the page won't load correctly.
Vanhalen Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 Mole, any chance we can see the stats as per web browsers visiting here?
Cartman Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 I use Avant Browser which I found through here. I really like it and i'm suprised NOBODY else I know uses it.
Vanhalen Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 Im amazed at how popular Firefox is on here, its 7-1 against any other browser
Richard Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I mainly use Firefox. I use the IE tab ext. to view TSM though.
AndrewTS Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Firefox 98% of the time. IE only when I have problems with flash vids in it.
At Home Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Safari. Despite its glitches, it still is the best for Mac.
AntiLeaf33 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 I'm after converting a few IE users over to firefox lately. Usually the Bookmark Toolbar sells them on the fox.
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Firefox. Would use Opera, which I just got and tried out, but it doesn't have the adblocker. If Opera had Ad Blocker, it would be my 1st choice. It uses WAY less system resources than Firefox.
Mike Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Here are the stats from October 1st to now.
Vanhalen Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 Yay me bringing the Minefield love!
Guest RyechnaiaSobaka Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 I use Safari on the Mac. Firefox is much, much too slow on my PPC processor. On Windows I use IE7, which is what I voted for. I like it a lot. I think it's fast, sleek, and non-intrusive. (P.S. I always run as a standard-level account on Windows, which stops a lot of spyware/malware from installing right off the bat.)
Yuna_Firerose Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 Firefox, without a doubt. So much customization with Greasemonkey and Stylish. Also, love the add-ons, like the email notifiers (got two currently: one for gmail and one for yahoo). Everything neat, tidy, organized just how I like it. Plus I like that everything is in one window ( I know Firefox has tabs but the download window is a seperate thing). Ever heard of Download Statusbar?
Ravenbomb Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 IE. I haven't had any problems that would make me want to put in the extra work to switch to something else. I didn't even know Firefox had tabbed windows until I mentioned to someone that I loved the tabbed windows in the IE7 update.
Youth N Asia Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 I've been using Firefox since it's been released, I haven't used IE for more than a minute at a time or so
