Upcoming Vickie Guerrero plans

Michael Hayes was the one who pushed for the heart attack route in the Kristal/Teddy wedding storyline. He had been wanting to an angle involving Viagra for quite some time. The Viagra induced heart attack on the wedding night had actually been scripted since June.

 

The plan was for Vickie Guerrero (and at one time Kristal but she's likely staying babyface) to get hold of Long's medical records, find out about the medical condition, and orchestrate this whole thing out of the storyline. The big goal of this storyline is to turn Vickie into a major heel.

 

The plan is now for Vickie to turn heel, and then turn her wrath against Rey in particular, to do a Hispanic version of Stone Cold vs. Vince McMahon. She is also likely to fire Kristal.

 

The plan for Kristal was for her to move to raw following the storyline. She's currently in a real life relationship with Bobby Lashley and he asked Vince McMahon if she could move to raw to be with him. However, Lashley is out of acton till at least December, so that may be held off for a few more months.

 

Another idea being batted around for Vickie to get even more heat from the fans is for her to start a relationship with one of the male wrestlers on smackdown. The idea is that the wrestler would get preferential treatment and it would make her more of a heel to the fans because she's betraying Eddie. The other idea being talked about is that the wrestler up for the role would be using Vickie to get preferential treatment and Vickie would be trying to get the wrestler 'in the sack' in exchange. The wrestler would tease the idea but it would never actually happen in the storyline because the wrestler isn't interested in going to bed with her; he just wants to use her to further his career.

 

MVP appears to be the primary candidate for the role. There has also ben talk of using Edge in the role but MVP seems more likely.

You know, the thought crossed my mind during the wedding that it might have been a tad insensitive to have Vickie present for a heart-attack character killing, but I see the writers are way ahead of me on insensitive booking. Not that I'm gonna get on a high horse and bitch about this or anything, it's really just more of a "Why is this necessary" sort of deal. Long was great in his role and Vickie sucks at everything on camera. Seems like SD is starting to become should-miss television.

I think fans are so desensitized over the use of Eddie to try and get heels over, that this aspect of the storyline will either backfire or, more likely, have no effect at all. That said, what exactly about this would have Vickie betraying Eddie? Her having another relationship?

 

The only way this part makes her a heel is if she hooks up with Chavo.

First, the wedding angle seemed to have been going down the path that Kristal was just baiting Teddy Long to marry him and then I dont know what, take him for all his money, power as GM, etc. And from that, Vickie would become GM. That was the original idea, that Kristal and Vickie were in on it together and both would have drugged Teddy, etc. That appears to not be the case now.

Other than that, meh. Smackdown is the TNA of the WWE triad; they can put on a good wrestling show but whenever they try to compete with the others in angles they end up looking horribly foolish and leaving everyone wondering "Why can't they just show wrestling instead of trying to be funny/touching/shocking/*insert target emotion*?"

I agree that the "sports entertainers" are all on Raw these days. However instead of playing up to their strengths and putting on a kickass wrestling show, VKM gave Hayes an edict to make SD! more like Raw i.e. more "entertainment" and less wrestling.

While I do agree that vickie isn't the #1 person I would have in mind for this, someone making all those small little details that add up in the end is awesome.

No one has mentioned the stupidest aspect of this entire storyline: The notion that this will be a Mexican variation on Austin/McMahon with Rey and VICKI?? What is any of this going to lead to that could possibly be decent? I doubt anyone wants to see Rey finally get his hands on Vicki and bitchslap her. And frankly considering Rey's exploiting of Eddie to get himself over I fail to see how Vicki is in the wrong here.

If you're referring to HHH/Stephanie, they were more cohorts. I'm talking a wrestler sleeping with the GM almost exclusively for the push.

anyhow I agree, the story seemed to be Kristal and Vickie in cahoots (remember how all this started, Vickie wanted to talk to Kristal in provate about something back in maybe Feb)
