NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 I'll go out on a limb and say my Skins only lose by 10 points this week...
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Here are my predictions for the week's games: DET @ CHI: The Lions are doing pretty well, but the Bears may well have righted the ship. I'll take Chicago by 7. NYG @ MIA: It's in London, can the Dolphins finally get a win? Nah. Giants by 13. OAK @ TEN: Not sure what Young's status is, but I can't see the Raiders winning it on the road. Titans by 6. PHI @ MIN: Eagles are in desperate need of a win. I really have no idea who wins this, but the Vikings have at least been sorta decent at times. Minn. by 3. CLE @ STL: Can the Rams finally get that first win? This might be it, but I don't see it. Browns by 7. IND @ CAR: This is a dangerous game for the Colts with them on a short week and the Panthers coming off the bye. Still, if it was Vinny starting I might be tempted to say upset, but David Carr? Indy by 10. PIT @ CIN: Steelers need to get on track but who knows which team will show up. I'll say the Bengals by 4 in a minor upset. JAC @ TB: David Garrard may be hurt, and it's on the road with a short week.....Tampa by 5. HOU @ SD: Not sure if this game will even happen or not with the fires. If so, Chargers by 9. BUF @ NYJ: God, who knows. I'll go with the Jets to get a win at home by 3. NO @ SF: The Niners have NO offense and the Saints might be on track now. Saints by 10. WAS @ NE: The Redskins may fare a bit better than most here, but they aren't going to win. NE by 13. Monday: GB @ DEN: Oh dear. Does the world really need the Broncos making some sort of lame run to a 9-7 record? Cause I sense them winning here by another Elam FG. Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Hopefully the Titans will have an easy game against Oakland. They should rest Vince one more week before the schedule gets tough.

Guest Gym Class Fallout Report post Posted October 23, 2007 One of my favorite songs. Chicago NY Giants Tennessee Philadelphia Cleveland Indianapolis Pittsburgh Jacksonville Houston Buffalo San Francisco New England Denver It feels like the league shakes down as such: 1. New England 2. Indianapolis 3 through 30. The rest of the league 31. St. Louis 32. Miami

Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 I think the Bills can win, but it's going to be tough. The Jets are at home and desperate for a win so they'll be playing that way. This is Edwards' first road start so it will be interesting to see how he handles it. If he can adapt to playing on the road, Buffalo will probably win. devo 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 From Newsday... Mangini announced this morning that Chad Pennington is the starting quarterback this weekend. Following his evaluation during the last two days, Mangini said he liked Pennington's decision-making as well as his play-making, pointing to his 5-yard scramble on third-and-5 ("Classic Chad," he said) and the Jets' final TD and 2-point conversion with no time remaining. Mangini said it was tempting to not make an announcement -- "very tempting" -- but he wanted to "move forward and get this issue behind us." Are you kidding me? He's basing his decision on a lucky scramble and a garbage time touchdown? Madone a mi. Christ, I never realized how stubborn Mangini is.

Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 Quinn Gray will get the start for Jacksonville against the Bucs. Judging by what I saw on Monday night, this is good news. And we get another quarterback black hole the next week in Arizona, so we could easily be riding a two-game win streak into the bye. Garcia still hasn't thrown an interception. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 24, 2007 Denver in primetime...again...because the world didn't get enough of it last season. Indeed. But on the bright side, Super Bowl XXXII rematch part III! Although, the most interesting part of that game is going to be how empty Mile High is going to look with the World Series in town- especially if the Rockies are winning in five. Guest Smues Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I read that the Chargers game could be played in Texas. Fuck that. I completely understand not being able to play in San Diego this week. Play it in Arizona as was suggested or some other neutral site. Don't give the Texans 9 home games like the Giants got in 2005.

Play it in Arizona as was suggested or some other neutral site. Don't give the Texans 9 home games like the Giants got in 2005. It's much more likely to be at Texas Stadium than in Houston as the Chargers have expressed their desire to not play in Houston. The latest update here though is that the mayor of San Diego is going to be the one to make the final call and that "all signs" point to the game being in San Diego, though possibly on Monday instead of Sunday. devo 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 “I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries. I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that. I know London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name. Channing Crowder Miami Dolphins My goodness.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I'm convinced the heat in Miami messes with people's heads so much that they become entirely geographically retarded. I remember telling people when I lived there that I was moving up here to Portland and only a couple people knew where that was. Same thing happened with a friend of mine that moved to Baltimore, and another one who moved to Denver. They deserve to be winless. I would love, in a year where the Patriots would most likely look like they're going to go undefeated, for the Dolphins to go completely winless. Take that, `72. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 The Patriots have to play in Indy bear in mind. If they lose that one not only would they not be undefeated, they might not even get home field throughout the playoffs.

devo 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 My favorite part is "I don't know what nothing is". Not "I don't know where nothing is", which would still have been appalling. I can't tell whether he's trying to say he doesn't know anything or that he's unfamiliar with the concept of nothingness.
