Mad Scientist 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 I'm still perplexed as to why the E is pissed that there's this huge internet buzz and lots of TV viewing interest in this whole "SAVE_US222" business. Isn't that the idea for people to get excited, speculate, and tune in to find out if they're right? Isn't that exactly what's been happening? Are they just mad that we are guessing too close to the mark? And on the possibility of a leak, why should they give a damn? They're getting the buzz and a ratings boost (or were until they started teasing it too much). I don't understand their problem.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 The WWE Magazine cover retrospective on WWE.com is pretty cool. I love the Hogan / Warrior cover in "10 Raddest" - http://www.wwe.com/magazine/10raddest/ Of note about that cover: They didn't digitally alter "WWF" into "WWE" ("Sid Justice - WWF's Latest Lawgiver?") and the header about steroids. Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 How did Stephanie not expect someone to figure out that maybe JUST MAYBE "vol4_01" was connected to Jericho since his theme song is track #1 on the Vol. 4 music CD? Do you honestly think, for one second, that Stephanie has any fucking idea that Jericho's theme was the first track on the Vol. 4 CD? There is no possible way that she even knows that. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 Forget the "clues" I thought it was obvious just from the style of the video that it was Jericho. And pretty much the entire internet saw the thing and said, "must be Jericho". And you know there's been rumors for like 6 months that Jericho was coming back. Whatever, they want to punish the audience for having access to the internet in 2007? Fuck them

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 I'm confused why they would be pissed when the angle has been receiving positive buzz and hype. Why would they be mad that something they thought up was actually working and getting fans who left excited? Just because it's not a surprise? That's the whole reason for being mad is people figured it out? I thought the whole point of vigs and things was to get people excited and ready for a big debut and return. It's obvious the pot was at full boil and it was in the PERFECT place for it to explode. So instead of just doing it when the timing was beyond perfect, they don't just because their feelings were hurt.

zappafrank 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 goddamnit it, first Krystal then Brooke... all the hot ones are getting booted. I blame you, Batista! But seriously... Brooke Why are you mentioning Krystal and Brooke when talking about "the hot ones"? IMO, Brooke was easily the least attractive member of EE, and not even very attractive in her own right, at that. She was just generic and I think actually took away from EE as a plain jane. I do find it amusing, though, that as the least deserving member of EE, she always seemed to act like she was the hottest thing there. She came across as that friend of the really popular girl, trying to ride coattails and simply saying, "Yeah!" whenever the main person/people of the group made a point about something. She was sort of like the Paul Roma or Jeff Jarrett of EE. And hopefully Teddy Long can come back to SD now that Krystal is gone. She added nothing at all to SD. Jingus 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 Every Divasearch chick ever added nothing at all to the WWE. QFA. When I watch wrestling, I want to see wrestling. If I want to watch women who aren't trained wrestlers and can't act, why bother with the WWE when Cinemax is one click away?

tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 The main thing that surprises me about the WWE being pissed about it is the fact that the promos are "Save us 222" when it should be obvious that its Jericho to any fan since when he debuted in the WWE he was going on for months about saving the WWE. Yet Stephanie is shocked when people figure it out.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 She's the only thing even close to a legitimate piece of talent that the divasearch has turned up, and she still couldn't put together a decent match to save her life. She's not good, she's just "good for a Diva". Funny how out of four Tough Enoughs and four Divasearches that Johnny fucking Nitro is easily the only new prospect with serious long-term potential that they've produced. (Of course, if they'd stop firing all the rookies just a year or two after signing them things might've been different, but oh well, hindsight...).

Perfection 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I understand Stephanie being upset if a big surprise was leaked or something but.....aren't the promos in question supposed to be like a riddle? I thought we were meant to figure out who it is. Stupid internet fans ruining the surprise by not being completely retarded and figuring it out the first night. lol isn't that the damn truth. Seriously, stephanie has got to be one of the dumbest bitches on this earth. lmao...what a fucking idiot she is. It's painfully obvious that if her name wasn't mcmahon, she would likely be flipping burgers somewhere.
The Buzz 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I don't know if you are talking about winners only, but there have been a few good things to come out of Tough Enough. I don't think any are great, but Nowinski, Matt Morgan, Shad Gaspard(SP?), Boogeyman all show or in Nowinski's case showed promise to me. Hell if WWE didn't have such a problem with using managers now, I'm sure they could slide Nowinski into that role.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 And all but one of those guys are gone from the company... and the one who's left is by far the worst wrestler in the bunch. The WWE seems to fire people these days by picking their names out of a hat. So did you forget about Candice Michelle because she has been getting better and better every match she has. Better how? Not only did she fuck herself up on a stupid bump that she had no business taking, but it was the second time in like two weeks that she'd blown that exact spot in the exact same manner, she crashed the same way back in England. She always looked sloppy as hell to me on her bumping, I thought it was just a matter of time til she hurt herself.

I enjoyed Nowinski's heel work, and Boogeyman's presence is just perfect for his schtick. Shad and Morgan are "eh" for me, but certainly no worse than some of the schlock the E brings up from developmental sometimes.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I'll never understand why Matt Morgan was fired in the first place and then never brought back - I mean for his size he was competent in the ring and at worst passable on the mic(even with the shitty stuttering gimmick). I swear he must have made a pass at Linda or something... Matt Cappotelli was well on his way to a call-up and was the best of the TE bunch before his brain tumor was discovered. I do winder if he could have ever made it in the lockerroom given his crying on the television show. Kenny King is working for FIP, appeared in TNA and I think had a date or two in ROH. After wondering what ever happened to Jake (from the year Linda and Jackie won) and Hawk, I did a IMDB search and it looks like Jake did some porn work and Hawk is dabbling in indie horror movies. Jonah was offered a TNA contract in 2003 however turned it down because he thought it would hurt his chances down the line with the WWE. He's no longer wrestling. Daniel Puder could have worked, but he didn't want to take the pay cut after the first year of training. He's fighting in lower MMA cards, still trying to live off his Kurt Angle keylock, and I believe he recently auditioned to be an American Gladiator on the show of the same name they are bringing back with Hulk Hogan hosting. Ryan Reeves was a juice monkey in OVW before being released. Dan Rodimer said that Justice Smith turned down a developmental deal because he could make better money outside the business. If they ever did another Tough Enough I think they should go the route of The Ultimate Fighter and use indie and developmental talent as opposed to grabbing kids off the street with no training. Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 Nowinski as a manager wouldn't work. A manager would eventually need to take a few bumps in the ring and I don't think Nowinski can take a slap to the face without getting brain damage considering the shape he's in now. The Buzz 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 Anyone remember Greg Matthews from the first season. The guy with the bad back. Apparently he worked CZW for quite awhile on the undercard, started teaming with Rockin Rebel. Now has a wrestling school with RR and still wants into WWE. He was one of my favorites on the show, but I've never seen him wrestle really. http://www.blackballdwrestling.com/roster/bios/greg.html (that's the guy I'm talking about.) As far as Nowinski, I didn't know he was that bad. I knew he had the post-concussion syndrome but I thought he might still be able of taking a worked punch and stumble into the corner or something. Hawk(if thats the goofy one with the mushroom hairstyle) worked the indys last time I looked him up on the net. http://www.hawkamania.com/ apparently his official website

She always looked sloppy as hell to me on her bumping, I thought it was just a matter of time til she hurt herself. Wrestling wise she's improved a lot since she's started wrestling. Yes she's hurt herself by taking a bad bump because she lost her balance but it does happen. I almost did the same thing to myself a few months ago at training but I got really luckly. We were having a training match (basically practice match) and I went to the top to do a cross body but when I went to leap I lost my balance and my feet got tangled up and down I went, but instead of going down face first like Candice did, I was able to do a last second front flip and land on my back. What happen to Candice can happen to anyone easily, no matter who it is. Yes Candice is still green and won't be having any 5 star woman matches anytime soon, but you have to admit she's improved a lot since she first started. Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 What spot was she trying for, anyway? From the setup I was figuring the old "Other wrestler hits the ropes and the one on the turnbuckle crotches themselves", but if that's the case why the hell was she so far forward?
Scroby 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 either one or two could have happen if that was the spot. 1. She was going to crotch herself and she slipped and face planted. 2. Beth hit the ropes so hard, Candice lost her balance and face planted.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 I read that her doing the face plant off the top rope was the planned finish and she just hit the top rope while coming down on Raw. Isn't that how the Beth/Candice match ended in England?
Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 After more viewings (albeit in animated .gif form) when Beth hit the ropes Candice was in the act of jumping. She was either supposed to go backwards and get crotched, or go forward and face-plant. She went straight up, got her feet behind the ropes and that just started her tumbling headfirst towards the mat. She's lucky she tumbled as little as she did, a bit more and she could've easily broken her neck.
