Hunter's Torn Quad

WWE General Discussion - December 2007

They should find Mark Madden and put him on Smackdown.

Mark Madden's not hard to find. He hosts an ESPN Radio show out of Pittsburgh and until recently was a regular columnist for the Post-Gazette (is now with the Beaver County Times). I'm not sure he'd be that interested in leaving a good gig to return to wrestling, but I guess if the money is right.

Ads for the No Way Out PPV at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas list an elimination chamber as the main event. Most likely the winner will get a title shot at WrestleMania, so I would expect Undertaker to be in there and win.

Doubt it... Wrestlemania looks VERY Hazey.... which is the REALLY good! :) Hell i doubt I can call the wrestlemania main events correctly

WWe better be on the look-out for the next big Latin American thing because Mysterio is on his last legs. It is this reason why I think wwe made a conserted effort to keep Carlito in the company but they should look to sign 3-4 Mexican/LA talents sooner than later.

whatever happened to signing Mistico? Did that fall through? Also, are there any non-lucha Hispanic wrestlers out there worth picking up?

The Mistico deal fell through, plus he's very banged up right now and is out of action for up to three months with a bad neck injury.

In the latest F4W, Alvarez says that CMLL thinks Mistico is milking it...

CMLL's final TV taping of the year took place before 8,250 fans at Arena Mexico on Friday night. Most of the major stars have now been given the opportunity to go home to celebrate the holidays, and they'll return full-time in January. It should be noted that there are people very skeptical of Mistico's latest injury, believing that perhaps he's not injured badly and this is a great way for him to allow himself time to go home and heal as opposed to just having to cancel (or work) his eighteen million dates over the next several weeks.

He's undoubtedly hurting, don't get me wrong, but the belief is that his latest injury isn't so severe the he can't compete, particularly since he supposedly suffered it right after Sin Piedad and will be OK to return right when the company gets back into the swing of things. The next big megacard is not until March 21st, which is the Salvator Lutteroth (CMLL founder) anniversary show. Anyway, semi-main on this show saw Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero & Hijo del Lizmark beat Dr. Wagner Jr. & Dos Caras Jr. & Marco Corleone when Guerrero pinned Wagner in the third fall after a blind foul. Wagner has returned to CMLL and is super over. The idea, obviously, was to smurf him over so the fans would pay to come back and see him get his revenge. Main was LA Park & Shocker & Negro Casas over Los Perros del Mal when Park pinned Garza with a sunset flip into an inside cradle. Garza demanded a singles match afterwards and Park said no, I don't want you, I want Perro so I'll wait.

So, anyone missing John Cena from the Raw scene lately? I'm not sure if I miss him or not, but I'd be interested in knowing what they had in store for him the remainder of the year. Raw feels a little more 'unpredictable' without him.

WWE should put Lee Marshall on SMackdown with Cole!!!! :D :P

Was that the guy with the Tom Selleck Mustache and a SubWoofer hidden in his voicebox?

Yes, he's also the current voice of Tony the Tiger.

Definitely. Forget "unpredictable", Raw's been boring w/out Cena. With the exception of Jericho, I don't care about anyone towards the top of the card.

WWE could create a fourth brand with all of their unused talent right now? I mean take all of the current talent off of television due to injury(other than Cena) or just not being used and some of their top developmentals more than ready for prime time -

Lashley

Haas

DH Smith

Super Crazy

Dave Taylor

Mike Knox

Stevie Richards

Diva's

Eve(Diva search winner)

Ashley

Nattie

Developmentals

Antoni Polaski(Amish Roadkill)

Johnny Jeter (Spirit Squad Johnny)

James Curtis (KC James)

Paul Burchill

Billy Kidman

TJ Wilson

Or at least add a second hour to ECW - with the brand sharing between SD! and ECW, developmentals really have no where to go right now.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this.

With regards to cena, I absolutely do NOT miss him one bit. He was shoved down our throats for so long, that it's going to take a while for me to want to even see him again. He bores the hell out of me and his absence has been such a refreshing breath of fresh air to me. I got double lucky as far as I'm concerned because of the fact Mr. Steroid Freak, bobby lashley, has been gone too. I am not looking forward to his return unless they make him a heel...in which case I think he could be interesting. But a face? Ugh.... (actually if cena was also made a heel, I would be MUCH much more inclined to want to see him return)

KC James belongs nowhere near a television camera, but I agree 100% that the developmentals are getting punked out by the talent exchange. Then again WWE is constantly having developmental turnover with Deep South and Booker's fed that was but wasn't a developmental territory...they're probably too busy worrying about where to keep the developmentals NOT ready for the roster than the ones they can just cherry-pick whenever they so choose, throw a gimmick at and push down the ramp.

- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has an article up about former pro-wrestlers speaking out about the nature of the business and wanting change. Lex Luger is interviewed in the article, admitting to being one of the biggest cheaters in the industry for many years. He said he would take six-week cycles of steroids and use false urine samples, mask his urine with visine, or intimidate the lab techs to get away with it.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion and current boyfriend of WWE's Kelly Kelly, Andrew "Test" Martin, has announced his retirement from wrestling. He was a member of the WWE roster from 1998-2004 and 2006-2007. He had a brief TNA run as "Punisher" Andrew Martin for a few weeks in October but wasn't used any longer when he requested more money.

I like it when Mondo Kleen puts me in my place.

I miss Cena; In fact, with Cena out, and them having apparently buried/given up on London/Kendrick, Haas and Carlito (or they dropped the ball, whatever your point of view is), I pretty much fast-forward through all of Raw. Hell, I've mostly just watched it out of habit for years and, if not for DVR, I probably would have quit by now.

I'm just not feeling Triple H, Orton, Michaels, Hardy, Kennedy or Jericho; never have, and probably never will... To whatever degree Raw has changed since Cena's absence, it has not been an improvement in my opinion. These days, I pretty much just watch to see Umaga and Beth Phoenix squash people, and shitcan the rest.

- from from Andrew Vrchota: David Herro is reporting on the Milwaukee Wrestling Message Boards that indy wrestler Silas Young has signed a WWE Developmental Deal. He will be located to OVW most likely. No date is confirmed on when he reports to developmental.
