Wrestlemania XXIV Discussion Thread

Yeah, Money In The Bank 2 didn't mesh. Nothing really memorable save for Shelton's Springboard sommersault dive off the ladder, and his springboard superman leap to the ladder.

I don't mind the using the crossface in an attempt to "take it back," but it's still kinda tacky. They have to start some time, though.

So I guess Punk will be going to Raw for an eventual showdown with Orton?

Why do you say that? Doesn't mean Punk's gonna cash it in right away

Nor should he. Edge and Van Dam were ready (coughOVERDUEcough) to get a shot at the top. The MITB has to be his new gimmick as he builds up with wins over more credible opponents.

Michaels had done it a few times already.

Even was asked about it in an interview. He said he had to be the first one to do it so that everyone would kind of accept it as ok.

when talking of booking PPV to "send the fans home happy" i always recall Starrcade 97..what was that every match but a couple won by heels and even the Sting win was totally botched nice handling of the big PPV..ahh memories

I don't know which amuses me more; the fact that Mayweather has a jeweled chalice or the fact that there was actually liquid in it.

The ending lets Big Show save face:

The only way Mayweather could knock him out was to use a foreign object.

It was entertaining, I'll have to give it that.
