Because we are trying to build a whole team, historically speaking that means start with a big and put pieces around him. Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2008 In my case why I didn't draft Kobe... Is because I wanted a franchise PF/C 1st, and I felt KG was the most talented PF that was left on the board... Plus I feel KG would have better chemistry with Isiah then he would with Kobe. Isiah also had the ability to take a game over, and was very clutch when it came down to the wire.
