We need a thread for this and we welcome our casual MMA fans like Marvinisalunatic and Black Lushus. Here's the card... MAIN CARD (CBS) Champ Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith (for EliteXC middleweight title) Jake Shields vs. Nick Thompson (for EliteXC welterweight title) Thomas Denny vs. Nick Diaz Shayna Baszler vs. Cristiane Cyborg Jeremy Freitag vs. Anthony Ruiz (swing bout) MAIN CARD (SHOWTIME) Justin Eilers vs. Antonio Silva (for EliteXC heavyweight title) Brian Caraway vs. Wilson Reis Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante vs. Travis Galbraith I don't have showtime so I'm going to have to hunt down a stream for that because I want to see Silva and Feijao fight. Feijao could make some serious waves at 205. As for the main card...well, Nick Diaz had better look impressive. He's looked like shit his past few times out and he's fighting a journeyman at best. He really can't afford a bad performance here. The title fights are what they are. Shields should beat Thompson but he's no joke. He's given Eddie Alvarez his only professional loss and he's not a bad fighter. I also think that with a better gameplan Lawler should easily dispatch Smith. I think we're not leaving until past 10 so hopefully that means I'll be able to catch Bigfoot murderizing Eilers. Speaking of EliteXC word's coming out that in 2009 they will start running PPV's. Don't have Showtime, though, so i'll miss the first 3 matches, but will definitely watch the CBS broadcast. by the way, apparently there's a UFC Fight Night coming to Omaha in October, I believe...I'll most likely go to that one. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 I wish Elite XC would run the show show simulcasted on Showtime, because us West Coasters get stuck having to wait and watch the fights on tape delay, which is extra shitty because I get Showtime East which means I will be watching the Undercard on Showtime and then have to sit around and wait three hours for the Main Card on CBS.....
