Cuban Linx Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Now all of the stereotypes bowling team has been drafted.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Quote for Hibbert - "A he he he"
Scroby Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 This is a lot less interesting without random quotes from the selected characters. Fixed!
BlackFlagg Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 glad to be on board, now for my first pick I will begin with my favorite of the Springfield bully's... Jimbo Jones - "He's graceful, yet masculine. So it's OK for me to enjoy this." and my second... Reverend Timothy Lovejoy - "I remember another gentle visitor from the heavens. Who came to earth... and then died... only to be brought back to life again. And his name was: E.T., the extra-terrestrial. I love that little guy."
BlackFlagg Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 i had randos two missed picks to make up
JJ Johnson Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Grampa: I don't feel so good. Maybe I should have something to eat. Hibbert: Oh, I'm afraid your eating days are over, a heh heh heh.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 I still have about 10 characters on my list, but I have a feeling some of them won't be around for future rounds, so we'll see. Dr. Julius M. Hibbert Hibbert's the one I was stunned was still out there. I completely missed Lovejoy, but in hindsight, that's pretty surprising as well: "Is it wrong for a man to steal a loaf of bread to feed his family?" "Well, no, but it is if he puts anything on it. Jelly, for instance."
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Holy shit, I can't believe no one thought of this until me just now...literally, 2 minutes ago. My next pick is... Spiderpig! Spiderpig, Spiderpig. Does whatever Spiderpig does. Can he swing from a web? No, he can't...he's a pig. Looooook out, he's a Spiderpig.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Fuck that noise. Everyone and their dog sang that last summer. I still haven't seen the movie (even though I got it for Xmas) almost entirely on those grounds. Good pick.
Mecha Mummy Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 ... see, pretty much the exact same thing happened to me, except with a different Simpson family pet. As such, my fifth draft pick is... Santa's Little Helper
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 The same what happened to you? I don't quite follow. I'm drunk, which may account for something, but, yeah.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Jimbo Jones was on tap as a potential pick for me. I think I know who my next pick is and I'm pretty sure it's safe, but you never know.
Mecha Mummy Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 The same what happened to you? I don't quite follow. I'm drunk, which may account for something, but, yeah. -- yeah, it was timed poorly because then posts went up in between. The same last-minute thought process as Spike leading to the drafting of a Simpson family pet. Though, actually, I too got tired of the overquoting/playing/singing of the Spiderpig theme, but that's another story.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Now this will bring up the question of drafting multiple Snowballs (I, II, III, IV,V).
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Jimbo Jones was on tap as a potential pick for me. I think I know who my next pick is and I'm pretty sure it's safe, but you never know. I'm really leery. Obviously, each one of us could probably cite two or three "well, I can't believe someone else thought of him", but I've got five or six guys to choose from, and I have little faith in any of them lasting. All of this despite my surprise in how long Hibbert lasted. Groan. Shoulda picked him up. Snowball is one cat.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 How about Coltrane? That's a different cat!
BlackFlagg Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Louie - "You're all talk, Hamill! You never even finished Jedi school!"
JJ Johnson Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Agnes Skinner. "Tell them to move faster, Seymour!" "I'm not principal of the line, Mother." "And you never will be!"
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Snowball is one cat. Snowball should be two cats, I & II. The idea that the Simpsons had a previous cat was established in episode one. The 3-5th ones were just one really stupid episode which I absolutely hated.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Snowball is one cat. Snowball should be two cats, I & II. The idea that the Simpsons had a previous cat was established in episode one. The 3-5th ones were just one really stupid episode which I absolutely hated. Good point. I also don't remember Coltrane, so I shouldn't really be disqualify it. The Snowball III-V was a great episode, save Lisa's storyline. The fighting robots had some of my favourite one-liners in any episode. "Can robots feel pain? If so, we are horrible, horrible people."
Boner Kawanger Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 My turn again? Well, since I get stuck in the middle of every round, most of my next top picks have been grabbed, so I'm pulling my ace. Homer: What the hell are you reading books for? Bart: I'm doing "The Conan O'Brien Show", and I want to have some intelligent stuff to talk about. Homer: Don't forget to say "I didn't do it." Bart: Dad, there's more to me than just a catch-phrase. Homer: How do you figure, boy? Bart: Watch "The Conan O'Brien Show", you'll see. Homer: All right, but after Leno I'm all laughed out, you know. Bart: You know, Conan, I have a lot to say. I'm not just a one-line wonder. Did you know that a section of rain forest the size of Kansas is burned every single -- Conan: Just do the line. Bart: [glum] I didn't do it. [Everyone laughs and cheers] Conan: [laughs] Great material. We'll be right back. [Music starts, and Conan dances. Bart half-heartedly joins him] Sit perfectly still: only I may dance!
TheFranchise Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Radioactive Man "Radio Man! ... It's Radioactive Man, stupid!"
Boner Kawanger Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Son of a bitch "Marge, are there other men in this house? Radioactive Men?" Radioactive Man (the movie episode, not Three Men and a Comic) is one of my favorite episodes-I think it's even in the same season, or least era, of A Milhouse Divided.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 God damn it, I had Radioactive Man on my list.
Youth N Asia Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Frank "Grimey" Grimes "I'm peeing on the seat, give me a raise!"
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Dammit he was going to be my next character. "I am not washing my hands because I am Homer Simpson." Greatest animated nervous breakdown ever. Santos L. Halper was drafted too.
