Molotov The Bear 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2008 The McMahons will have an on air feud which will lead to a fatal four way between them at Wrestlemania. All four of them will be disqualified at the same time, sending them all off tv forever, except the occasional non-canon stuff like press conferences/Tribute to the troops/someone dying/etc.
Wally Balls 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2008 Steve Austin gets a lot of attention in the weeks before Wrestlemania and the HOF, where he is inducted. Vince McMahon starts to suffer serious health problems. A WWE superstar will die. Jeff Hardy will recieve a third strike, but due to his popularity, will still remain on the roster. Kennedy will get hurt again. 2009 main event scene will involve all of the same guys.
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2008 Virtually every main event will involve some combination of: HBK, HHH, Undertaker, Cena, Batista, Edge and Orton Raw and Smackdown will keep the same boring and drab production values--same big screen since 97 The same stale GM or owner leading a brand formula will stay around They'll play out the Austin-McMahon storyline again between two performers--ie the rebel face vs. the heel owner/GM (Cena will prob. be the face) HBK will do his "sad face" in every program he's in, and they'll all be similar, just slight variations on the HBK is broke or too old or about to retire or too injured Steph will allow the production team to finally shoot below her waist around Mania 25, when she loses most of the baby weight Raw ratings will hover between 3.5-2.9 throughout the year while buyrates continue a slow slide At this point next year CM Punk, Miz and Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Christian, Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy will make up the mid to upper mid card, same as always Nothing will really change, the business will stay the same, pretty much just do the same thing it's done since March of 2001 TNA won't become major competition, but they won't go out of business either, they'll do 1.0-1.3 on a stable basis (no one will really know they exist)
BHK 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, or both, will wrestle at WM 25. The Rock will appear on WWE programming in some form for the first time since his taped appearance before WM 22. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2008 Did you consult your Spirit Guide for any of those predictions? I'm consulting Tom P. Baxter. As I see it TSM, the future of wrestling, well the future of this country in fact is... computers. I've been waiting 3 months and 1 week to finally make the Tobin's Spirit Guide reference and you make it all the better with a Tom P. Baxter namedrop. He doesn't own a computer but plans to get one. RepoMan 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2008 Glamerella will break up shortly after WM. Beth will enjoy modest success as a face before being lost in the crowd of divas. Santino will become the fall guy for whatever mid-card face is getting a token push and ends up in FCW by this time next year. Hornswaggle will mericfully be released. Finlay will go back to being an upper mid-card heel on ECW to work with the younger talent. Evan Bourne will win the IC title, but will be lost in the mid-card after dropping the title. Punk will not hold a major championship. Matt is revealed to be Jeff's attacker, they will face off in a TLC match at WM. The Cursierwieght Title is reintroduced. Helms will win the CW title tournement and be given a decent push and a long title reign. The CW title and Helms is virtually forgotten after a couple of months. Carlito will finally be cut. Orton and Batista will headline SS, and be given a proper build. Cena will release a new album and get a new theme to push more merchandise. Kelly Kelly, Women's Champion Miz and Morison split during the next draft, Morison will get a push into the Main Event scene, Miz will win the US title. Kristianna 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 Vince McMahon will make his return around the time the Mania buildup kicks into high gear. He'll most likely do something he's done a million times before and be utterly un-compelling. Batista will return and get another month-long token run with the title, and then go back to winning all his TV matches, but jobbing every single PPV to whatever heel is hot at the time. Cena will finally get a new theme song, a new look, and maybe even a couple of new moves. Everyone will still hate him, even though that's what they've been asking for. Most likely out of "principle". The Spinner Belt will live on, probably for a couple of more years. CM Punk will become IC Champ off and on all year, and still not allowed to do any real promos. Regal will fuck up again and get fired for real. Jeff Hardy will fuck up again, and it will be covered up and ignored because the guy is more over than Jesus in Kansas. Matt Hardy will remain ECW champ forever because nobody gives a flying fuck about ECW. Maryse will make her return around Summerslam and get the title back that she held for all of 24 minutes. Michelle McCool will continue to rim-job the Undertaker, who will in turn rim-job Johnny Ace until McCool gets the title back in some dastardly heel fashion. Dave Meltzer will turn heel and give a TNA match a 5-star rating.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 My only prediction will be that RAW and Smackdown will be merged together by Summerslam with title unification matches at Summerslam and some people either going to ECW or out. ECW gets to stay cause they can use it as a nationally televised minor leagues of sorts with some of the displaced bigger names as well..might even get a 2nd hour finally and either some tag belts or a secondary belt. Silence 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 Not sure why I think this but . . . X-Pac will make one, and only one, television appearance for WWE. HHH's one-night DX partner in a tag match since Michaels is JBL's "employee" now.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 A lot of these predictions suck and suck hard. Can we try to be a little more realistic?
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 Here are my ludicrous predictions: Steve Austin gets inducted into the hall of fame but instead wrestling he refs one of the title matches at Wrestlemania, after the match Austin will give both wrestlers a Stone Cold Stunner much to delight of his Texan fans. Cody Rhodes will have a backstage segment with Goldust where he calls him an embarrassment to the Rhodes name leading to a feud between the two where Dusty is brought in and eventually sides with Cody who promptly turns on him as well. Vince McMahon fails to see the humor in Vince McHass and "fires" Charlie Haas on live TV. Manu will cut a promo about going back to his roots and disappears off of TV for a few weeks and will return with a wild Samoan type character to form a tag team with Umaga. Hot off the heels of the success of The Wrestler Ernest Miller gets another shot in the WWE. Trish Stratus briefly comes out of retirement to feud with Beth Phoenix. Christian will get a the WWE champion match at Summerslam after becoming a face and turning on Edge, but ultimately fails to win. Edge will be a nine time world champion by the time the year is out. The Motor City Machine Guns get a developmental deal with The WWE but never make it to TV and are released when the WWE can't decide what to rename them because the words "Machine Guns" does not appeal to there newer kid friendly image. Another Top WWE wrestler quits wrestling to give that crazy MMA fad a try. Jeff Hardy and William Regal will not get strike 3 but Kennedy gets Strike 2. Batista somehow goes another year without a single strike. Joey Mecury will be rehired and teamed with John Morrison, The Miz & Melina the group is called MNMM despite the face that John Morrison's name is no longer Johnny Nitro. Triple H will shock the world by being drafted to ECW instead of Raw, he wins the title his first night there and will win a unification match with Raw champion John Cena thus ending ECW.
