That's gotta be a new record for the longest time in-between a double-post.

Do they actually use the same chicken as in the spicy chicken burgers? That's the implication I got from the ad...

I stopped watching RAW a little while ago. I turned it on today and saw the bit with Trish, Lita, and the Jericho figure. I couldn't watch more then 30 seconds of it. I felt embarassed watching it. I dunno WHY people like this angle...

Actually Banky, proportionally, more heroin addicts kick their habit then smokers - even though most smokers would like to quit (So sayeth the Big Book of Vice). Granted, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that heroin is a LOT more dangerous for you and grossly illegal, but the point stands.

400-lb man dies after fight with Cincy cops
The Metal Maniac replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
Why not? You said so yourself - he just kept coming. What were the police supposed to do? "Wow, this guy just won't quit. Better put our clubs away before we hurt him TOO bad..." I think the police have every right to beat a man to death if he's attacking them, and will NOT cease. Not to say that they SHOULD beat him to death, but if that is their only option...that's it. -
I think someone mentioned John Schaffer -> Benoit earlier, and I'd like to take that out a step... While both are very skilled at what they do, they're also distinct in the fact that merely by watching/listening to them, you can tell exactly who inspires them. Iced Earth are very similar to their main influence, Iron Maiden. They use many of the same things that Maiden does (Galloping beats, that zombie that's on half their stuff, their vocals at times) and it should be brutually obvious to anyone that Schaffer loves Maiden. Benoit, on the other hand, is very similar to HIS main influence, the Dynamite Kid. Benoit uses a lot of what Dynamite Kid did (snap suplexes, superplexes, the diving headbutt, hell, I've seen Benoit do the exact same arm wringer reversal, and they're even built the same) and it should be obvious that Benoit loves Dyno-mite Kido. EDIT: Would you say that Billy Graham came before Gorgeous George? I honestly don't know the dates of their respective careers, but George is generally the one who I hear spoken of as being the first real gimmicky, never-shut-up kinda wrestler.

WHAT??????????

Potatoes are a great food. When I get a place of my own, I'm always going to have a bag of potatoes and a deep fryer handy. Instant tastiness.

Actually, the heroin addict may be better off...it's apparantly easier to kick heroin then it is to kick smokes. And it's aboot.

So, Black Sabbath ISN'T #1? This list fails.

I like 'em. And if I'm not mistaken, the reason Fire Pro 2 lacks stuff that Fire Pro A has is because the Japanese version had a Management Mode, while that was removed from the American version. So bleh.

Pro Wrestling Criticizer Attracted to Wrestling?
The Metal Maniac replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, that's not at all uncommon. I've had people bitch about wrestling at the start of the segment, then be all into it by the end. -
"Wow, sorry you got trampled...but we'll hold that THIRTY DOLLAR DVD Player for you." That's wrong, man, seriously. I REALLY think that the store should be somewhat accountable for that though - I mean, they're the ones who deliberatley try to get people cramming in there right away. Pathetic. Oh, and I don't have a DVD player...

Whos been hurt most having to wrestle WWE style
The Metal Maniac replied to cynicalprofit's topic in The WWE Folder
Tazz is on the list because, no matter what your opinion of him as a wrestler was before, you have to admit that having to basically stop doing any suplexes that weren't a Tazzplex or a T-Bone REALLY hurt his style. Sure, it's because suplexes were most of what he did and he may not be that great anyway, but that doesn't change the fact that it fucked his style. -
One and Only Bitch about Black Friday!
The Metal Maniac replied to SamoaRowe's topic in No Holds Barred
Man, after reading this thread, I'M scared...but I live in Canada, so it hopefully won't be too bad. On the plus side, my WalSquigglyMart just got like, 150 new carts, so I hopefully won't have to deal with managers yelling at me to get more carts when THERE FUCKING AREN'T ANY IN THE FUCKING LOT. Stupid managers. I swear, WalSquigglyMart managers must have to pass some sort of stupidity test before getting that job. Either that, or they have to be COMPLETE FUCKING ASSHOLES. If you're both, I think they make you store manager.... -
"Dont look so frightened, this is just a passing phase One of my bad days" - One of my Turns, Pink Floyd

Yeah, THUG is fairly different. There's a bunch of new things to do (You can walk around, jump + climb on stuff, and even drive cars) and it plays like an actual story, not just random goal-getting. I'd rent it, at least.

Does this strike anyone else as odd? I mean, I dunno about you, but if I walk into the bathroom, and there's an unconcious, naked woman on the floor who I don't even know, getting her dressed would not be my top priority. And I'm not making a joke here - I'd try to wake her up and find out who the fuck she was. If she didn't wake up, I'd call the cops. Why the fuck would he dress her, then put her somewhere else and LEAVE her there?

It's kinda like a backdrop driver (assuming you mean the SAT one, and not the Japanese one) but he hooks their head with his left arm, and holds their legs with his right.

Video of Man Beating Mario 3 in 11 Minutes.
The Metal Maniac replied to Skywarp!'s topic in Video Games
I beg to differ. No one could POSSIBLY be that good at Mario 3 unless they spent obscene amounts of time playing it. -
Isn't a bolo a type of weapon that's like, some balls on a string? I dunno...I tried googling it, but there's some computer game with the same name, so I only got shit about that.

Video of Man Beating Mario 3 in 11 Minutes.
The Metal Maniac replied to Skywarp!'s topic in Video Games
I've seen this before...crazy-go-nuts. WAIT! No I haven't! This guy cheats! There's one that takes about 40 minutes or so, but it's every single level. And I think the Japanese version works differently..it seems like he can do wall-jumps (which I don't think you can do over here, but I could be wrong) and he's disturbingly good at jumping off an enemy by charging right at him. -
Nevermortal, do you mean the one where they're like "This was supposed to be the match from Australia, but that match fucking blew, so here's this match!"? Cuz yeah. Funny shit.

I'm sorry, watching them commentate on Hornswogglin' Hillbilly alone makes it worth watching some of these tapes. I mean, the guy's like, 700 pounds and can hardly move. They're on commentary - "Look at the grace and agility with which he climbs those steps! He's like a bittersweet angel!" "He looks like they shoved a hose up his ass, and pumped him full of whipped cream, jelatin, and Jello-endorsed products!" Plus, the fact that they call the booking while announcing is GOLD. "Evil Dead is going to win, because that's how we booked it!" I'd say, for 12 bucks, get 'em. But don't expect anything more then bad wrestling and cheap humor.
-
While I do agree that the move is very over-used (an odd thing coming from me, as it's one of my favourites) I think you at least have to admit that they are trying to protect people better with the suplexes. Watch how they do them these days - The guy doing it doesn't bridge back, he just lifts the guy straight up into the air and they both fall backwards. It's safer, and looks dumb, if you ask me. But they still need to use them much less. That's not fair; Austin's prone to get injured from neck bumps because he had his neck broken by a move that would've broken anyone's neck.
