  1. I loved it. This is going into my regular TV rotation for sure. The whole feel of the show was really appealing I thought. I would definitely like to see more pro player cameos, perhaps even having some of them do more than just poke their heads like like they did with Danny and T.J. I'm sure an egomaniac like Phil Hellmuth would be more than happy to play a part as long as it glorified him. I do agree that they played up the cheating/corruption angle a bit too much. On the other hand, they still haven't given away exactly how it happens (in the case of the Matador) unless I missed something. That's one card they need to keep in the deck so that the show has some decent suspense.
  2. That's the battle I'm definitely most looking forward to. For anyone in the US who hasn't seen his show (which runs on Food Network Canada), rob Feenie is an excellent French cuisine chef who runs one of the nicest restaurants in Vancouver. He's fun to watch on TV as well.
  3. Ridiculously fawning praise for everyone on the field, bordering on verbal fellatio in many cases, particularly for Mike "Barry Sanders" Vick.
  4. How about everyone on Smith's show (including him) uses a megaphone when they talk?
  5. I don't support Bush, but it's mainly because I disagree with his domestic and social policies. I'm not fully in support of his foreign policy but I agree with parts of it, and it's the least important issue I have with him.
  6. Shouldn't that be "woot in da bluedy ell?"
  7. Terri Hatcher was the best Louis IMO. She was perfect for the role.
  8. Paul McCartney is doing the Super Bowl halftime show? Looks like it might finally be decent for once.
  9. Horrible call. He tucked the ball and took two steps.
  10. I've always been partial to Meddle, in particular Echoes and Fearless. Fearless, interestingly, is the first song the band wrote about Syd Barrett ("Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd...").
  11. The halftime show should have been an O.J. Simpson shoot interview. It would have entertained the crowd and brough in way more "casual viewers" than Ashlee Simpson.
  12. As a Michigan fan I'd be down with that. Or can you imagine if Michigan and Texas play in the Rose AGAIN next year, only this time for the National Championship? Two of the all-time great programs who have never met, but then play two years in a row, in the Rose Bowl of all places. Pretty wild.
  13. So, early preseason rankings for next year? I imagine USC will be #1, and I can certainly see Texas in the top 3. I also think Michigan, OSU, and Iowa could all be legitimate contenders next year (assuming OSU's program doesn't melt down before then).
  14. Amazing that despite being warned by the mods, you guys would still rather troll Damaramu than talk about the game.
  15. Nice drive by the Sooners and White in particular.
  16. This is a GREAT game.
  17. The cash is starting to flow now that the scope of the disaster is becoming clear. The US is already up to 350 million, the World Bank has put up 250 million, and others are starting to ramp up their relief aid. It's well past the billion dollar mark.
  18. For the millionth time: margin of victory is no longer factored into the BCS. Only the AP and Coaches Poll can take that into account. None of the computer rankings use margin of victory.
  19. Any cop scared of a 6 year old with a piece of glass is the biggest fucking pussy in the entire world. How hard is it to just kick the kid in the arm? If you need to use a stungun to disarm a 6 year old of anything short of a firearm then you are an inept piece of shit.
  20. But those are real! I mean, Indy found them in Egypt and everything!
  21. Vick just got CRUSHED.
  22. Is it just me, or shouldn't a "complete quarterback" be able to throw the ball with accuracy and move the offense up the field?
  23. Ugh. ESPN Saturday/Sunday night crew comparing Michael Vick to Barry Sanders.
  24. If you are going to take shots at someone, THIS is how you do it. None of this wimpy "shame on you, Mr. President!" crap.
  25. Ed Viesturs showing up in Vertical Limit was pretty neat. Hell, the movie probably would have been better if he'd been the lead actor.
