"You can't say that on Television!"
MillenniumMan831 replied to Epic Reine's topic in General Wrestling
Not really scandulous but in matches against Steamboat and Santana respectively, Bob Orton was clearly heard bellowing after near falls late in the match: "GODDAMN, THAT CLOSE!!!" complete w/ the hand gesture. Good stuff. -
http://www.highspots.com/www/stores_app/im...wu_kimberly.jpg I wouldn't say it's not safe for work but I wouldn't necessarily want my boss to catch me gawking at this from 8-5.

The 4 or 5 Hart Foundation vs. British Bulldogs matches released by Coliseum have all been gems . . . even though they weren't "exclusive". While Yoko worked hard in the steel cage match vs. Bret, I could just never get into the match since there was no conceivable reason that at any point, Bret couldn't get Yoko stunned and just casually walk out the door as Yoko would widdle and waddle around.

Actually, I think he did say Raw superstars but that could have been an f up.

Right back at ya.

I didn't get cable until the mid 1990s. Until then, it was Worldwide respresenting the NWA while SuperStars, Challenge, and Spotlight all aired in syndication for the WWF. Herego, it was much easier to keep up w/ the WWF.

I'll throw IYH: Final Four in the mix. Not that I hear about how bad it is, but other than the ME, it's hardly ever brought up despite having an excellent opener between Marc Mero and Leif Cassidy and an awesome Tag Title Match between Owen/Bulldog and Furnas/LaFon. The 6-Man tag was alright. Even the Free for All was extremely entertaining w/ all 4 guys spewing out bitter rage for much of it . . . especially Austin. Plus, the atmosphere was great. No cheesy house set. A real sense of unpredictability all night in regards to the main event as it could have went to any one of them. My favorite IYH ppv and that includes Canadian Stampede. Granted, the I-C Title match between Rocky/HHH was a yawner. I may be kinda biased since I found it dirt cheap years ago at a Mom and Pop's Video Store and didn't expect it to be too good.

There's really not much money in sending the fans home pissed every night. -
Excuse my total ignorance on the subject, but what exactly is gmail?

Cena or JBL?
MillenniumMan831 replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in The WWE Folder
Personally, I want to see JBL reign as WWE Champion for 5+ years just to see the reactions of the fans every month when he wins whatever ridiculous gimmick match they throw at him. Obviously, business would tank but I don't mind him as champion and there's really no one on SD (other than Eddy) that I actively want to see w/ the WWE Title so JBL is as good as anyone I suppose. If I never saw John Cena again, I'd barely care . . . but him winning at WM21 and his subsequent reign is definitely an opportunity to see if this guy does indeed = dolla dolla bills . . . I think he can draw quite well in the short term but the rapping/throwback gimmick is too trendy and faddy (if that's a word) to draw in the long term. -

(Steiner sets up the noggin knocker) Heenan: That won't work. (Shrinkers no sell) Savage: I agree. (Shrinkers floor Steiner) Awesomeness! Was that triple headbutt during the casket match? Cause I would have sworn one of the Headshrinkers was gone by the time Bam Bam made it in. -
My theory on a game winning/tying shot is that if you hit the top of the rim, it's bad luck. You chuck up a brick/airball . . . it's a choke.

I've played one of the UFC games at a friend's house. I found it to be fun. The matches are quick and I'm not sure if the styles of the fighters accurately reflect their real-life counterparts or not but it passed the time well and I believe he got it for $20. For that price, I think it's worth it.

He had at least one match on Raw vs. Eugene where he was fired since he didn't win. -

Too bad Sheik didn't come down to the ring 1st and see how many guys would pass him up on the way to the ring. Oh really, Uncle Eric? The guy probably couldn't name 3 WrestleMania Main Events off the top of his head and this is his answer? I will admit I did mark out for the Headshrinkers no selling the double-noggin-knocker and flooring Ric w/ a double headbutt during the hot tag sequence. I know Samoans always no sell head shots but seeing them no sell a Steiner brother made it worth the mini-hooplah. That's more like it. -
Has to be since around the late 1980s/early 1990s. I remember the Cleveland Thunderbolts used to play at the Richfield Coliseum.

Perhaps you can set up a Geocities site and cut/paste your articles there. There is a pop up ad though but I don't think there's any spy/adware. -

I hope they wear face and mouth guards for when they're booked in handicap tag action against The Masterpiece.
