That era reminds me of a Kurt Angle quote after he won the WWF Championship and started listing all his accomplishments over the past year: "I became the first ever EuroContinental Champion . . . . . well, actually D-Lo Brown was the first ever EuroContinental Champion, but he doesn't count!"
-
Seriously, what was he talking about?

Alex Wright --- WrestleMania 2 . . . He'd have been sweet in the royal rumble match they had against Kevin Greene and the rest of the NFL players. Even though Mongo should have won. It was his hometown.

My .02: 1. Braveheart (Funny cause it's true) 2. Taxi Driver (The easiest one to show a non-fan w/o being embarassed) 3. Pulp Fiction (Sold WM the best of any promo) 4. When Harry Met Sally (A cute spoof w/ a nice punchline) 5. A Few Good Men (Probably the best acting performances. The subject kinda seemed a little silly though for the serious tone it was projecting. "Why were the Bashams at ringside?!?" --- Eh, who cares about the Bashams) 6. Basic Instinct (Not bad at all. Probably didn't appreciate it as much since I've never seen the movie) 7. Forrest Gump (Regal's horrible delivery at the end ruined it for me) 8. Dirty Harry (I wish I could put this lower on the list)

Not to nitpick, but it was Fall Brawl 2000.

Well, I played my brother's Ridge Racer game for it. Not bad at all. I certainly wouldn't fork over what Sony is asking for the system but I can see why others would. It also came w/ Spiderman 2 the movie which looks incredible on it. No dead pixels from what I could tell.

I called them the same things. Me and my pop would laugh at the wimpy guys getting beaten in rapid fashion....but marvel at 1-2-3 kid beating razor, b/c wimps didnt ever ever beat superstars. My buddy and I called them the "wimpy dudes" and figured they got paid more than the Superstars since who would agree to lose every friggin week for little money? -
I had her shoot interview but threw it away when her damn birds wouldn't shut the hell up.

Never seen Sherri reveal more cleavage than in that segment.

Yeah, I wouldn't have known it if she wasn't on the ECW dvd. And I've always found her rather attractive in the wild child sort of way.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

There was a live Main Event special where the masked man attacked during a tag match between Hogan/Dave Sullivan vs. ?Kevin Sullivan/Ric Flair?. Then, as Hogan was going to unmask him, another masked man came in to attack Hogan. In kayfabe terms, one of these could have been Brutus since I believe he left ringside during the match. -
Heat will be on at 6pm EST on WM Sunday. ----------------------------------------------------------- Here were my votes: Best Male Performance: HHH; Braveheart Best Female Performance: Candace Michelle; Taxi Driver Best On Screen Tag Team: Ric Flair and Donkey; Braveheart Best Punch Line: "I'll have what she's having"- Linda McMahon; When Harry Met Sally Favorite Trailor: Braveheart NC-17 Award (Most Shocking Moment): Michael Cole gets tough; Taxi Driver "You Talking to Me?" Award: Batista Best Hair: Booker T; Pulp Fiction Most Promising Movie Star: Batista --------------------------------------------------------------- What can I say, the only trailers I really enjoyed were Braveheart and Taxi Driver. When Harry Met Sally was alright too. The rest were ok at best.

RIP to the man who invented the beltless raincoat. -
Don't know exactly when it started but I know it was in syndication and was like a B-Level All American Wrestling. It lasted until at least late 1994 w/ Monsoon hosting it. It featured matches from SuperStars/Challenge w/ an occasional MSG or Raw match sprinkled in here and there.

Wonder if he fell asleep at the wheel. -
I must admit the game looks awesome, but I need to see more positive reviews before I become excited about it.

It was approx 10:30ish-10:45ish . . . just before the main event IIRC.

Probably after No Way Out since Show had the bandage on his head.

And he's also The Ultimate Male! -
"They say behind every great man is a great woman. Well, I guess you're the exception." --- Paul Heyman to Steve Austin during Austin Appreciation Night? "He beat Andre the Giant with that move!" --- That sounds like a JRism "I smell what you're cooking...pure paranoia!" --- I'm picturing Vince McMahon

While I knew that Vince McMahon owned the WWF, I assumed that he only booked Hulk Hogan's matches and/or the main events . . . everything else, I figured he'd let his cronies handle and not want to be let in on it since that would spoil the 'genuine' surprise tone that Vince would have when commentating the matches. -

I used to tell people that while the WWF was about 10% real . . . the NWA was at least 25-30% real. -
Definitely Brooke. If Ed didn't look like shit, I'd say there might be an argument there but if isn't Brooke, it'll be Jimmy Hart.
