  1. Me too. What a dirty piece of shit that Triple H is. Maybe WCW wasn't so bad after all. Sure there was no elevation, but at least he could go over luchadors every week. Plus, I'd rather be held down by no-good politicians than the family of the boss.
  2. It's time to quit cryin' and start payin' Rochelle. Sorry, got an Irwin R Schyster impulse there.
  3. Rochelle needs to pay her dues anyway.
  4. Never thought of that . . . maybe Mr. Holly can referee it just for kicks . . . and punches.
  5. Appreciate the response but this was before then. In the late 1980s, Challenge had the cursive logo. It was changed in 1989 (I think) to a blue background w/ yellow block letters w/ the opening of that bodybuilder flexing at the beginning of it. Then, sometime in 1990 (I think), it changed to to a colorful background (orange, yellow, ect) w/ yellow block letters.
  6. I was actually looking forward to this match cause I knew Hogan would lose . . . It would look a underwhelming to see Hogan win the Intercontinental Title. However, if it would have been just for the WWF Title, I'd have been waffling up to the beginning of April 1990.
  7. I really wish it would have been Mean Gene's hotline to bring us this late-breaking scoop to us rather than the Internet.
  8. Is this gonna be released on dvd?
  9. Perhaps this is why he was chosen to play Doink in his WM debut at X7. Was it actually Dinsmore who portrayed Doink at WrestleMania X-7? Dinsmore's WCW results, for anyone that's interested: Kaz Hayashi on WCW Saturday Night 29-Aug-98 lost Evan Karagias on WCW Saturday Night 19-Sep-98 lost Brian Clarke on WCW Nitro 21-Sep-98 lost Ernest Miller on WCW Thunder 25-Sep-98 lost Horace Hogan on WCW Saturday Night 26-Sep-98 lost Scott Steiner on WCW Nitro 28-Sep-98 lost (with Lenny Lane) Stevie Ray on WCW Saturday Night 10-Oct-98 lost Norman Smiley on WCW Saturday Night 26-Dec-98 lost Scott Armstrong & Steve Armstrong on WCW Saturday Night 09-Jan-99 lost (with Mike Sullivan) Cheers. I'm amazed how people always forget that Dinsmore wrestled Chris Jericho on Nitro as "Bore Us Malenko." That was him? Damn, he was thin.
  10. Well, this is the year that Dolan and Shapiro said the Tribe would be back to playoff strength when they claimed ownership / GM status of the team from Hart / et. al... Considering the run the Tribe made last year and the fact we're getting a few more key pieces like Millwood and Gonzalez... Dolan did tell the people of Cleveland that he would open the purses a bit more when he saw need. We were close last year. And I'm sure Millwood and Juan-Gone didn't call cheap. I'm not calling Dolan a great owner... I'm just reserving my judgement for the end of the season. Fair enough. I just don't trust the guy though. Plus, he did say he'd pump some money into the team at the middle of the year last year IF they were in contention. Well, they were in contention and he didn't do much, if anything to back up his word.
  11. I kinda miss Eagan's media posts.
  12. Which is totally doable since they can easily reissue the Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat CV from 1986.
  13. I belive the reason was because Austin doesn't do well at funerals. I don't think anyone does well at funerals. You show up to pay your respects to the family. A simple "I'm sorry about your loss" is suffice. Maybe he was afraid someone may catch him crying and thought that would be death to his gimmick or something . . . I dunno.
  14. "He's gonna get the winner's share of the purse money but not the title!"
  15. ^^^ There's Survivor Series matches in this game?
  16. Another thing that endeared me to him was the fact that he came across as if he was having a ball calling the action rather than it being a chore. Makes even the terrible matches easy to watch.
  17. Kind of a useless question, but when did SuperStars/Challenge change their logos and themes in the early 1990s from the generic blue and yellow designs to the black/silver block design for SuperStars and the orange/yellow display for Challenge? Thanks.
  18. Edited out some tapes that have been sold.
  19. I remember that!!! It was implied that he might join the Corp. WWF Magazine had an article about this around that time, asking if Duke might sell out. I thought the moral was that it pays to pick up the trash . . . especially after pinning a superstar the likes of Steven Dunn.
  20. Gorilla was A-1 all the way. Yeah, he had his chiches but most announcers do. His work calling MSG shows was excellent since he treated it the matches as legit sporting events by getting on the case of the referee if he felt he was slackin a little bit (whether it benfitted the heel or the face). Plus, he would often speak of the purse money. The guy made Alred Hayes bearable, and that's hard to do.
  21. What is this Spring Training? I'm sure the crowd will eat everything up with a spoon. They can easily work out in the ring an hour or two before the house shows are to start.
  22. Agreed. In fact I felt and still feel that Eric Bischoff should put a "No Contact" edict between HHH and Batista until WM21. Let HHH seeth that Batsita got the last laugh physically while spending the next four weeks trying to get under Batista's skin mentally.
  23. I think he got one of those "next week we'll see in action a newcomer here to the WWF, the Ultimate Warrior" intros at the end of Challenge when they were hyping the show for the next week. His actual debut was on Wrestling Challenge sometime in October. Was that steel chain thing with Hercules his debut? I honestly am fuzzy on the debut of Warrior. -=Mike The Hercules thing was in February, Warrior was mainly involved in squash matches from his debut until then and his only competitive tv matches were a 10 man battle royal on Superstars(won by Bam Bam Bigelow) and the 88 Royal Rumble. FWIW, he did get to squash Frenchy Martin at MSG 11/87.
  24. <--------------- Gimme a Break!
  25. Cool, my memory of 1998-99 WCW is foggy at best.
