SWF AftershoXXXxxXXxxxXXXXxxXXX Card!
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to chirs3's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I don't know about him, but I sure as hell haven't. Actually, I take that back; I've "heard" of Resident Evil, but I've never played it, so my first reaction to "Raccoon City" was the same as Toxxic's... My second reaction was, "boy, am I glad I'm not booked for this show!" -
In at a hair over 6K... and not a very good 6K; I wasn't feeling this match at all...

Yes I did; those are all CD's I own that I've never listened to all the way through, or only listened to once.

OAO "WWE .VS. ECW Special" Thread - June/7th/06.
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
On that note, since I don't recall seeing it mentioned elsewhere in this thread: did anyone else notice Tazz asking "What page is that on?" during the women's match? When I heard that, I was like, "What the fuck?" -
I have a whole CD case that's a testament to the short attention span I had for music from 1996 to about 1999. The only reason that I haven't thrown them out is to serve as a reminder of what poor taste I had in my early twenties... Boys, this is what happens when you don't get laid until your twenties: don't let this happen to you! Some of my most infamous mistakes include: Chumbawamba - Tubthumping Chuck D - Autobiography of Mistachuck (yeah, I was the one) Spice Girls (that's right, I said Spice Girls) - Spiceworld Soundgarden - Superunknown (This record didn't necessarily suck, but I listened to it all the way through once, and discovered that I only actually liked three songs on the CD.) Soundtrack - Booty Call Will Smith - Big Willie Style No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom (see Superunknown) K-Ci and JoJo - Love Always

Covers you liked better than the original?
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Mr. S£im Citrus's topic in Music
Hold up... Now, I know that Luther *did* a lot of covers, but where did you hear that the songs you mentioned are covers? I know that he covered "House" and "Always," but where did you hear about those other three? Especially "Never Too Much?" Because I'm almost certain that he was the first person to do that song. As far as the ones that you have question marks by: ... was originally done by Charm, and ... was done by Brenda K. Starr. Although I have to doubt that you've actually heard the original if you didn't know who actually sung them. -
That's outstanding.

I was talking to someone in a mIRC chat room tonight about my favorite cover songs, and as I listed them, I realized that, while I don't generally care for covers and remakes as a rule, among the ones I *do* like, many of them I prefer to the original song. So, I thought I'd list the covers that I like better than the original, and ask if any of you have some as well... My top ten, in no particular order: Boyz II Men, of The Beatles' "Yesterday" Johnny Cash, of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" Caron Wheeler, of Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" Santa Esmeralda, of The Animals' "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" Sergio Mendes & the Black Eyed Peas, of Jorge Ben's "Mas Que Nada" Boyz II Men, of New Edition's "Can You Stand the Rain" Boyz II Men, of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love" Mary J. Blige, of Rose Royce's "I'm Going Down" Soul IV Real, of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" Ray Charles, of Hoagy Charmichael's "Georgia on my Mind"

State Your Unpopular Opinions
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't give a good god damn whether you question my sexuality or not... I'll say it again for anyone who didn't see it the first time: Keibler's not attractive. Feel free to question my sexuality all the fuck you want to. It's not like your questioning it will make it change... -

Amen to the second point! Co-sign that amen: Molly was the greatest (and hottest) diva of all time! Co-sign this, too. Plus she has no tits, and no tits = bad. -
The OAO Official SWF 2006 Party Birthday Thread
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Toxxic's topic in Community/General
Edwin's only twenty-three? God, I feel old... And a happy birthday to the Crown Prince. -
Sacramento looks about right.

Alf, I think you're confusing "common" with "acceptable."

What a miserable pair of choices... Can we get some other team to maybe do a run-in?
-
Speak for yourself; this will be the first Finals since I first got into watching basketball in '88 that I *don't* think is worth watching... I mean, even during the Lakers' run, I had a team that I could root *against*, but out of the three teams left, there isn't a single possible outcome that I'd find satisfying... It reminds me of the 2004 Presidential election: all of the candidates lick balls, but *somebody* has to win anyway.

I'd like to see them hire Rick Adelman, and watch him coach the Pistons to the Championship. I'd die laughing.
-
So, since Detroit has apparently decided to lay down, that means my only hope of keeping the trophy out of Cuban's hands are either rooting for a team I don't like (Suns) or a team I can't stand (Heat).

Yessir! Surge was my favorite carbonated beverage of all time!

Man, Thomas is making the Mavericks his bitch tonight.

Well, China's a touch bigger than Cambodia, so I suppose that being Emporer of China *is* better... plus, as Emporer of China, you get, like, two-thirds of Yao Ming's salary.

What the hell, if the Number One Contender can get MANSON-ized, why not the champion? Landon is covered... right?

Thank goodness for Youtube and YME, because I had never heard of a single one of these songs before: The Final Countdown - Meh. Time is Running Out - It's okay. Until the End of the World - Dude, this sounds like a ballad; do we want our PPV theme to be a ballad? Epic - It's okay. My own nomination is "Time is Running Out." Not the one listed up there^^^^, but the one by Apollo 440 that appears in the movie SWAT. As far as for WC and the PPV... this is the first time since I got bumped that I'm not involved in a feud or a storyline of some kind, so just book WC for a singles match against whomever (prefereably non-stip), and I'm cool.
