All this talk of Power Rangers got me thinking: you know what the best part of that show was? Titanus. Because sometimes they could beat the boss with individual Zords, or Megazord tank mode, but usually battle mode. If Megazord couldn't get it done, you brought in Dragonzord, who could then create Megadragonzord if the situation called for it. But if Megadragonzord couldn't get the job, that's when Titanus came in, and when Titanus enters the battle, you just KNOW it's over. I think that was a really cool element of the program which should be emulated elsewhere.

Here's a movie parody... Airplane! (From Hell!) Cross the Zuckers' 1980 hit with the WWE's 2002 disgrace. John Heidenreich as Dustin Rhodes, Triple H as Curt Hennig, Tajiri as Brock Lesnar, Michael Hayes as himself, Trish as the flight attendant. Then, Ric Flair as Clarence Oveur, special guest Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as Roger the co-pilot, Randy Orton as Ted Stryker, Stacy as Elaine, and VINCE MCMAHON as Leslie Nielsen's chracter whose name escapes me. Booker T and RVD as the jive-talkers. The premise would be that Lesnar and Hennig's scuffle causes the plane to go down, but then you have the elements of Airplane!, and somewhere in it all, a musical number.

You make an excellent point there, Thumbtack, very articulate and astute. You bring up a great perspective on the issue at hand, and I agree that this is a poor way to treat Zach Gowen.

I think they SHOULD do a variety show, TNT-style. The first one should be a production of Footloose starring Funaki as the minister, Jim Ross as Kevin Bacon's character, and Stephanie as the girl.

I had some delicious sugar cookies today at the open house...a little TOO delicious. Yeah I think the rec center and tennis courts are free. The beer thing shouldn't be a problem because I don't drink alcohol...I think it's a locus-of-control issue. Now that I know how to keep the weight off, my next mission = getting a dorm room to myself. I either A) feign a mental disability or B) room with some idiot that'll get kicked out.

Next year I head off to NIU to begin my university career at the ripe old age of 17. I've been warned by just about everyone that I'm going to get fat when I go to school, which is something I'd really rather not happen.. Right now I'm about 5'10" and around 170 lbs., which seems pretty heavy, I think, but it must all just be bone mass or something. Anyhow, so far the only precautionary measures I've come up with are 1. Don't drink. Apparently, this will not only keep my weight down but automatically make me smarter than a good portion of my class. 2. Avoid the cafeteria food as it's loaded with carbs that never get burned off. For whatever reason I'm just really concerned about this. I've been lucky to get by with just a high metabolism and a lot of walking and other exercise throughout high school. So maybe I'll be able to work on my tennis game a little, develop some halfway decent basketball skills, whatever I can to avoid being "the guy that comes back huge."

Okay, WHAT THE HELL! They're calling penalties on EVERYTHING in these games! Especially Stars-Avs, nothing is going unseen here! It's insane! Every freaking thing is a penalty! What the hell is next, "Mike Modano, two minutes for squinting"? Jesus!

TBS blocked it out? It's in the 12th inning now. I live in Wisconsin but it's still "greater Chicago area" so I guess that means they have to black it out. And I don't get Fox Sports Chicago on my non-digital cable system, so I guess I've just gotta depend on WGN coverage.

PurpleKeef, properly called Badaboum!, isn't the Senators mascot, he was the old Nordiques mascot. Since he didn't make the move to Denver, I adopted him as my OWN mascot.
