  1. You damn skippy I'd mark the fuck out. FREE PRESS! 53. Get your merchandise into retail stores. WWE merchandise can be found at various retail franchises, specifically their tapes and DVDs. Trading cards was a bad idea, as baseball and cardgames (like Magik and whatnot) have those cornered. The DVDs need to hit major markets, and more than a couple "best of" DVDs need to be released. Release a DVD of the 4/30 show in its entirety, witch each chapter being either a match or the interviews/segments in between matches. Have extras such as alternate commentary featuring the wrestlers of the match (and DON'T do the in-screen display that is featured on the original three DVDs, that is ANNOYING). 54. PUT OVER YOUR OWN TALENT. Kid Kash is the best heel in the entire company right now, getting genuine heat, and he has been the best heel for a little over a year. PUSH HIM. Make him a top contender for the X-Division title, put him occasionally into the World title hunt, and have he and either Dallas or perhaps Kazarian/Shane (I feel a Freebirds-style tag team/stable featuring Kid Kash, Frankie Kazarian, and Michael Shane would be a blast, as all three are GREAT heels with their in-ring actions) and have them hunt for the Tag belts. 55. Job Nash and Hall to a random X-Division teaming 100% cleanly (even an "upset victory" would do wonders), and make new superstars.
  2. If you think that The Heel Section was just going against the medium, then you need to actually learn. They cheered for whoever they wanted to cheer for, and it just so happened that the majority of who they cheered for were heels (which isn't surprising, considering that the only face during TNA's heyday really worth cheering for was AJ Styles, and even then he was borderline heel).
  3. That's pretty cool.
  4. Rant, when I first read the title before opening the thread, I thought the same thing. I'd say wait a few days, see if that stranger moves in, and if not? Bring your friend in.
  5. Pick up some Ducky Boys stuff. I've only heard a few tracks outside of when I saw them open for Rock And Shock '04 (when Misfits headlined, back in October), but it's pretty fun Boston punk in the vein of early DropKick Murphys.
  6. Of the lineup, Himsa is the weakest. If you like heavy music, Bleeding Through will entertain you, at the least. The singer has an almost Phil Anselmo-like voice when he decides to sing, but his scream is very similar to your generic hardcore screams.
  7. 47. Do not repeat the same thing twice in short order. 48. Ignore #45. 49. Find a way to make the fans feel as though they are a part of the show. Polls before and after the show of their favorite TNA talent, feuds, and shows would be wise, as would an angle now and then that is decided upon by online polling (re: Taboo Tuesday). 50. Don't book Dani Filth.
  8. He apparently showed up late to a couple shows and probably didn't react too well when he was admonished. TNA, seeing that they had Synn on the sidelines, kicked him to the curb And thus TNA killed the heat of The New Church, because Synn is too bland of a worker, and at least Killdozer (I don't think I'm ever calling him "Brian Lee" again, because the name of KILLDOZER is just too fucking cool) and Slash were compatible.
  9. Never, EVER compare this place to TNS. That board was filled with idiots, and only me (AKA Drezzy) and Mike were there to really bring about some common fucking sense. Amdub (AMWRULES) was the only other person worth talking to, despite his TNA markdom, because he knew his shit about wrestling, regardless of how opinionated he was. As for why this is important? The Heel Section were the most vocal and loyal fans that TNA has ever had. The "beginning of the end," so to speak, for TNA was when The Heel Section voiced their massive disapproval of Jesus Jarrett going over Raven by throwing trash into the ring, and then they began to "break up" The Heel Section. Good read, guys. I only wish I was in TN around then to chill with you fucks, but alas, I'm stuck in MA.
  10. I wouldn't take Meltzer's OPINION over anybody else's, because he's praised some matches I thought were crap, and said that some matches I've praised are crap. And Douglas didn't do shit? Without Douglas, ECW would not have had as steam as they did in 1995 when Raven began being the top heel. Douglas also helped with booking, and say what you will, but if he's never mattered, then why do so many people throw up the Triple Threat symbol when he shows up? Also, it should be noted that ROB BLACK killed XPW, not Shane Douglas. Black got in federal trouble for distribution over his Extreme Associates porn tapes (over obscenity and such), and he took a major money hit, so there goes XPW, the lesser profitable of the two companies he ran.
  11. If so, it needs to either be Slash/Tempest (AKA Devon Storm) or Slash/Killdozer again, because Slash/Synn just DID NOT flow at all...namely because Synn sucked and Slash ruled, and Synn didn't even suck in the Killdozer way of "sucks, but can be carried in tag matches." Plus, Killdozer also brought a certain feeling to the matches of unpredictable brawling, which certainly worked to the New Church's advantage.
  12. Nope, that dream happened. As for another dream...here's what I told my buddy Jay today about it about 20 minutes after having it:
  13. Yes, because dreams never make no sense whatsoever, right? And I've been having dance numbers in my dreams since I was, like, 5.
  14. And honestly, outside of a few exceptions, Bruckheimer's movies have been pretty damn solid. National Treasure does leave the taste of "wow, I thought American History class was second block on Tuesday, not on Saturday night," but it's still a damn SOLID movie.
  15. Hi Rob.
  16. I'm really starting to like Bleeding Through. They're another "fashioncore" band, as Thumbtack calls them, but they're actually pretty damn good.
  17. Tiger Mask = not shown in my time. Ultimate Muscle = WAS shown in my time. Man, for a while, Saturday morning cartoons didn't suck. I'd even watch Sonic X, which made the original Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon seem like a Biblical epic by comparison, in between the new TMNT and UM. Now all it has is the new TMNT, and they keep changing its time for no real reason (it has a diehard cult fanbase, it's popular even today with young kids, and older fans will watch the new show, as older fans that were also fans of the comics prefer the newer show over the classic), so I never get to see it (that, coupled with working most Saturday mornings, too).
  18. I wouldn't wonder why you'd pick up Grumpy Old Men. That movie and its sequel are fucking hilarious. I may need to check out these uber discount bins...
  19. I vaguely remember the RVD/Kash match, cabbage. But what I mostly remember is RVD and Kash teaming up in the Tag title tourney and owning ass.
  20. ...what is that teddy bear doing to that poor little girl?!
  21. That's okay. Mine are usually filled with zombies, so the last zombie-free one was a rarity.
  22. Mucha Lucha sucks, and so do you. BRING BACK ULTIMATE MUSCLE! Antz was decent for what it was. The only really amusing part was the main character's psycho-analysis in the early parts of the movie, and the bees too. Re: FCC Fuck the FCC. I pay for my cable, I pay for my internet, and I'm not letting you tell me what I can and cannot see on something I'm shelling out my hard-earned dollars for.
  23. I honestly think that Eddy/Rey from HH97 is the most overrated "great" match in history. It was damn fine, but greatest match of all-time? No way. So, Flair/Steamboat by default, even though the WrestleWar match was pretty boring to me for about half of it.
  24. I would mark the FUCK out for "Funbags" Johnny Jones.
  25. Of that list, I'd say either Gutenburg or da Vinci. Gutenburg because now books were available to the masses and literacy exploded, and da Vinci because his plans for machines were so far ahead of their time and still influence the way we make them today.
