China seems to be (whether voluntarily or against their will) weaning more and more away from Communism because, like the Soviets learned the hard way, it just keeps them a step backward from all the other industrialized nations. Completely stomping out stuff like this is near impossible in today's "information overload" society. Prediction: In the next.....5-15 or so years, China will cease to exist as a communist country. Once the younger generation that has been weaned on the same things we have grow up.

So they'd literally be Mr. & Mrs. Paris Hilton? That's just too freaky for me.

American Indies, Europe and Puro) General and Old School Wrestling MMA (and/or Boxing) Pop Culture Past & Current Events Sports Movies, DVD and TV Music Computers, Tech Help and Graphics Video Games & Toys Comics and Literature LS&D (or whatever it might be re-named) Forums Stuff General Chat Hardcore Discussion (Though with the "no-flaming" rule officially abolished, I still don't think it's needed, but whatever) Site Feedback & Information Classic Threads

If you want to see how a new sig/avatar looks, you can just look at one of your old posts; posting a new thread isn't needed. And I was thinking of moving banner requests and the like to Computers and Technology or General Chat or something. Hence, this folder isn't needed anymore.

Yeah they're similar, and boxing threads sometimes get lost in discussions about the Big Four (or five, including soccer) so maybe separating it would help. And it's not like we're combining every wrestling folder into one giant one (which has been brought up); just two or three other folders, that's it. Puro has been a wasteland since Coey and his crew left, so why the hell keep it around if no-one uses it?

Yeah, looking around I noticed that there was plenty of discussion about wrestling's past in there already. We could just call it "General and Old School Wrestling" or something, or keep the original name, whatever. TNA's the de-facto #2 in North America, so it shouldn't be lumped in with the rest of the promotions, so I like the subfolder idea. Same for Puro if we'd get more than four puro threads a month. How about the MMA/Boxing folder idea? No one's commented on that yet.

Well it won't be THAT much more moderated. People would have to adhere to the posting guidelines (which are being revised....yes, again) and wouldn't be a "safe haven" for trolling and flaming, but people can still goof around and stuff like that.

You've probably noticed that in a few folders polls have appeared asking wether or not said folder should stay (Examples: Get Your Learn On and Testing). This is because we're planning on doing a little (long-needed IMO) spring cleaning around here, eliminating folders that have little traffic and adding others. Here's what we've come up with (NOTE: This is preliminary, and not the exact folders or order which they will appear) Wrestling WWE- Naturally TNA - As long as they're around, no reason to get rid of it just yet MMA/Boxing - This is worth trying out, as there has been some good MMA discussion in the Misc. Promotions folder, so it having a folder of it's own should help that flourish. Adding boxing to it should help further. Other Promotions - encompassing US Indies, Mexico, Europe and Puro (which gets little traffic by itself) Old School - Bringing this one back for discussion of WCW, the Attitude Era and so on. We're still debating what to do with Tape Trading. Pop Culture Current Events - How would people feel if this was expanded to include historical discussions as well (i.e. WWII)? Sports Movies/DVD/TV Music Computers/Tech Help Video Games and Toys Literature & Comics Food Love, Sex & Dating (Which definitely could use a new name IMO) Forums Stuff The Junk Drawer - the GC/HD combo whose name I came up with . It would have subfolders for cool links people post and other stuff (which we're open to suggestions for) Site Feedback The Classic Threads will stay, though we are still discussing what to do with the Article Archives. The e-feds will be left alone, since they do their own thing. So any comments, questions or suggestions are welcome.

We're thinking about calling the new folder "The Junk Drawer" because, as the name implies, it'll be a place for threads that don't really belong in any other folders. HD and GC are essentially the same, so why have them both? And yes, I came up with that name. Rag on me if you want.

I don't think that's much of a problem myself, since it offers easier access (Like I won't have to click the main OaOast link to get to the HD folder, for example). Yeah, I'm going to have to look around a bit to figger out what the hell new there is. We're discussing some stuff right now, so expect some changes over the next couple of weeks.
