The Snitsky/Heidenreich Confrontation
DrVenkman PhD replied to Nevermortal's topic in The WWE Folder
Yo, check it. Is it just be me, or does that Snitsky geezer sound a lot like Sgt. Slaughter in that clip? -
EGM totally ripped off our use of spoiler tags for the dildo. Honestly, they have a picture of CJ with what I'm assuming is that, with the word "SPOILER!" over top of the dildo. They also gave the game 10/10/10.
-
For what it's worth, EGM gave it the best rating they've ever given a SD game (7, 7.5, and 8.0 as opposed to the usual 7's and a 6).

I figured they would have Cena just brutally assault Carlito and have it be a non-match. Carlito then becomes injured and Cena gets suspended, title tournament finals at Armageddon... Instead we get Carlito telling us he's already injured, jobbing in 3 minutes, and Cena winning the US title for a 3rd time... and assuming he's stripped of the title due to "injury", the sum total of his 2nd and 3rd reign are 5 days (TV time). Wow.

So between work, playing SvR to buy everything, and watching some DVDs, this game sat on the backburner for a bit, but I played a pretty good 5 hour session today (2 more hours than I usually game at once)... man, those OG Loc missions are great. The intial one was pretty easy, not sure where the complaints of difficulty were coming from there. However, I am still having a hell of a time with Wrong Side of the Tracks... Big Smoke can't seem to shoot the people at all, and this must be my fault somehow. I'll read the other pages I was avoiding to see what tips were given for this.

JBL will probably lose and come back as Mr. America. When I first read the statement, it bothered me because it seemed to guarantee Booker losing. However, with some more though (and no angles forthcoming if JBL were to win), JBL being forced to honour his word and come up with wacky masked gimmicks to get back on TV would be a direction they could go. Doesn't mean they will, but it's there.

I am quite enjoying Eric's not quite a face but not too much of a heel character. That's the way a GM should be anyway... what was his reason for disliking faces? "You're popular and the people watching my show love you, thus I hate you!". Huh? This new direction is much better. Maybe more shadres of grey would work for WWE. Would more Shades of Gray work for TSM? Find out in the future!

"Then that leads into the "kicking and screaming" bit at the hospital and then into the "I'm Dick Tracy" stuff." good thing they stopped the video before he declared that he was now Dick Face

According to GameFAQs, the big reward for finishing all the challenges is An alternate attire for The Rock. While I think most people knew that beating all the challenges unlocked an alternate attire for a Legend, I did not know that they also are what you need to beat for Heat and Velocity (all Amatuer), as well as unlocking alternate attire for Angle and HBK (GM suit and shirt and jeans - Rising Star) and suits for Evolution plus an alternate for Orton (Superstar) Don't know if the above is even a "spoiler", but just in case... Anyone know how to do a Lionsault-type move? The only thing I know how to do in the SmackDown series is leap over the rope, I don't know how to do rebound moves off of them into the ring.

This thread seems to be more about good quotes than favourite episodes now, so I'll give a quote that had me laughing from a recent episode thatI think many people seemed to hate (episode in question was from last season with Krusty's barmitzvah) Krusty: All these years I thought I was a self hating jew, but now I find out I'm just an anti-semite! Renier Wolfcastle (from out of nowhere): We have much to discuss!

When I was in the 15 man Royal Rumble at Survivor Series, competing for Stacy Keibler, Undertaker gorilla pressed me over the top rope to the floor. I still had a lot of meter left, too. How the hell do you do that?

Apparently Hurricane's bio was missing from WWE.com this morning. It's back now, though.

I also have to say I don't particualary give a damn about roster trading, which seems to be a major complaint so far.

This is one of the most unecessary sequels ever. That being said, it's a helluva lot of fun, the graphics are subperb, and the computer and I are having some pretty good matches (My HBK vs Tajiri series have ben some of the best video game wrestling matches I've had). While anyone who can't justify spending money on a prettier version of HCTP with fun (IMO) "mini games" in it is certainly valid, I'm glad I picked this up. It would be really hard to top HCTP and they have nowhere to go on this generation of consoles (which is why I consider this sequel uncessary after putting a lot of thought into it today), but it still is a fun game. It's really just a roster update with nicer graphics, but for me, that's good enough since that's what I wanted. I had the money to spend on it.

Robbing Uncle Sam was not as difficult as this thread made it sound, and I'm not that great at these things, although there was a bit of a fluke involved. It took me 3 tries - once because I took the wrong road and my truck slipped into the ocean along the beach, again because I was ill-prepared for the mission (no guns or armor), and then time #3 was a success... but it shouldn't have been. My truck flipped over on the way to the garage and I was pressing X, hoping i would somehow get up off my side and not blow up. Had the military guys behind me not been ramming into me so much, I would not have been able to get back up... that same ramming also caused them to blow up and leave me free and clear to drive to the drop point.

Well, the review on GamingRing.com was pretty good, even questioning why 8.X all of the sudden is an awful score. EB here said they might not have it until Thursday but are hoping for tomorrow.

Well, the next Detroit house show is at Cobo Hall instead of Joe Louis Arena.

Maybe a mod will fix that typo for you

The OAO What are you going as for Halloween thread

I got lazy and just pulled an old security guard unifrom from the closet before goin over to my pals. A far cry from 1990's Batman and 1991's Ultimate Warrior. -
Excellent, I just purchased a hockey mask from the sports clothing store. Any machettes (sp?) around? I think it's time to teach the sexy teens at the beach a lesson.
-
I'm not too pleased with this linear story talk, considering on EP a guy from THQ said the exact opposite. Oh well, I liked the gameplay in HCTP so I'm still looking forward to to doing it with a slightly new roster and nice graphics. Bring it on!

FYI for the person who mentioned it earlier, Survivor Series is $22 or $23 (once tax is figured) at Famous Players. I learned this when we went to Summerslam and it was that much despite it not being priced differently in 2003.

Big Show could do a good live-action Shrek. A number of years since an elimination match, eh Cole? In fairness, one is a number.

"I never thought I'd be losing races because I drove too fast. " I haven't done the mission in question yet, but I had a similar problem with the very first bike mission, and then in another mission where, while WALKING to find a new car to drive, it kept saying I left Ryder behind.

And try as I might, I could not resist the Mr. T haircut.
