You mean the "Highlanders"? Otherwise, someone in that company needs a lesson in Scottish culture. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And someone please tell me their entrance music is "Princes of the Universe" by Queen.

If I'm a bricklayer, and the foreman asks me to punch my friend in the face, that's not asking me to do my job.

I wish I could've been there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I strongly recommend trying it yourself some time. The key is maintaining that stuff that predates 1832 was just put there by the elves to fool us.

For all the reasons you just listed.

Imagine how many jobs we could create if we decided to run up a $800 billion annual deficit. Is that what you want?

1) There are worse people the government can give a bunch of money to than scientists. 2) Think of space as an untapped natural resource. 3) The technology we develop for space travel has multiple applications for use on Earth.

I once told a creationist I thought the world was created in 1832 by a bunch of magic elves, then used creationist arguments to defend my position. Man, he got pissed.

No, Power Girl's gimmick, at least back in the late 1980s/early 1990s when she was at her peak in terms of pressence in the DCU and written by Keith Giffen and Gerald Jones, was that she was a huge cunt of a feminazi who everyone hated because she always would be bitching out someone over the way her teammates treated her pet cat or ranting and raving about some sort of injustice being conspired against her, most notably her infamous war with soft drink manufacturers in JLE.... 1) Keep in mind that JLE was the book where Flash was portrayed as a simple minded pervert. 2) I don't think saying she was a "huge cunt of a feminazi who everyone hated" is exactly an accurate description, although she was a bitch people still seemed to respect her and want her around. The two characters have never been anythng alike. Gardner's a egotistical loudmouth, while Power Girl in JLE was just bitter and pissed off. They're not the same. In no way do I see her current characterization as being a "bimbo".

Didn't "Wrestling with Shadows" come out in 1998? Wasn't that 7 years ago? Didn't they already do an episode of "Confidential" about this? And people say BRET needs to get over it?

Rey Mysterio's son suffering "emotional distress"
SuperJerk replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
This article is based purely on speculation. The "sources" aren't saying anything definitive, they are saying something is "possible". -
I could see Adrien Brody or Tim Roth as the Joker, although I'd prefer Roth since I'm more familiar with his work. Crispin Glover would be good (and really looks the part), but not as good as Roth.

Rachel Caspian (a woman who Bruce Wayne once proposed to who's father died) later became the Reaper in 1991's "Batman: Full Circle", while Andrea Beaumont (a woman who Bruce Wayne once proposed to who's father was murdered) became the Phantasm. The subplot of Wayne choosing love over crime-fighting only to eventually loose the girl and go back to crime fighting are the same in both "Year 2" and MOTP. The similarities are very striking, but I had to go back and look at Year 2 to see the differences. I actually saw MOTP before I read "Year 2", and couldn't help but notice the strong parrallels when I finally read it. As long as I'm on the subject...looking through the "Year 2" trade really showed me what a hack Todd McFarlane is (I don't think McFarlane improved much in the years after "Year 2" was published). Alan Davis's art trumps McFarlane's in every way, and yet, which is the fan favorite millionaire?

Anybody know what the deal was with the multiple cast changes the first season? I understand the bailiffs kept dying, but weren't there about a few dozen defense attorneys before they finally settled on Markie Post. (I actually kind of liked Billie.)

I hate to typecast, but I can't see Carrell as anything other than playing a news broadcaster. Joker's a psychopath. That takes range.

You're not alone, and I think it's better overall than Begins, but since Timm/Dini and crew borrowed a lot from Year One, they don't deserve *full* credit. They'd probably be comfortable with doing commentary since they've already done commentary tracks on the box sets. I'd be up for it, even double-dipping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think its actually "Batman: Year Two" that they borrowed from. The Phantasm is pretty damn similar to the Reaper. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The scene in the building under construction? Bruce's early vigilantism prior to donning the costume? Those are borrowed from Y1. Y2 was out of print for a while but I see that apparently it's available again. I'll have to pick it up, but from what I'm reading, the story doesn't really match up even if the Phantasm is *kind of like* the Reaper. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ain't no "kind of" about it, homey. The Phantasm = The Reaper. SOLD!

I think the reason Zombies don't run is because running requires effort. Effort is for the living.

Kiera Knightly looked like an anorexic Natalie Portman in this trailer.

A comedy doesn't need to be good, it just needs to be funny.
