A soldier is tried for killing the enemy

The fact that people still we think we went to war for oil make me laugh. You invalidated all your points with that. Why not invade Venezuela? They have oil too -
Who here has gone to a Wrestlemania?
bob_barron replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
I was at Wrestlemania XX last year. Just a tremendous show- the main event is probably the best match I've ever seen. There's just something about being a Wrestlemania that I can't explain -
BBC asks Bob Marley for an interview...

My dad's a big Bob Marley fan so I'm up for it -
I wonder if Jimmy wears a $46 Red Sox hat in the movie. Regarding Fever Pitch: It just would've been cool had they got an actual Sox fan to play the role, instead of just making a movie a Jimmy Fallon-Drew Barrymore vehicle
-
It sounded like he was a good man- didn't he do a lot for Poland? Anyway- RIP Pope John Paul.
-
That comparison makes no sense. I would rather see an actual Sox fan play the role then Jimmy. And I think Ben Affleck is great at comedy so I think he would've been awesome here.
-
No- The match was probably fun to watch because the crowd shat on them. It doesn't make the match itself good
-
Yes it would- Ben probably would've been better for the movie then Jimmy

As a joke I once had him sign a wrestling book and we talked about Ric Flair for a second. He also once did the Worm in his SNL warmup

Which is, IMO, the weakest scene in the entire film. The movie is goddamn fantastic, though. I give it my highest recommendation. And quite frankly, my word is better than that of Roger Ebert's, because if any of you have paid attention to his reviews lately, he's become a more respectable version of Harry Knowles: he gives EVERYTHING a good rating. But in this case, it's deserved. Great noir, lots of good action, gore and violence. Terrific, fun performances all around, especially from Rourke and Owens. Oh, and a pretty good bit of T n' A as well. I think you all will particularly enjoy, as I did, the wonderful sight of Carla Gugino's bare tits. Ebert's given **** more recently (to some films that didnt deserve it like Millions) but for the most part he can still dish out a bad review. He hated Be Cool and Miss Congenality for instance.

I think he's just saying that for the movie. Jimmy's never been a big sports fan to my knowledge- I think he likes wrestling though

Does anyone know the scene QT did? Amazing movie- just one big adrenaline rush

They're doing sneak previews all weekend

Agreed. Jimmy is very underrated. Too many write him off because teenage girls think he's hot and b/c of the skits where he laughed with Horatio. When he wanted to be, Jimmy was one of the funniest castmembers on SNL

They edit it a little bit- I watched the live version and the booing is much more noticeable. I loved being there to see that

As an April Fools Day joke- you should say you are actually white

If you lived in Toronto for three years and had to follow the Raptors on a daily basis like I did- you would understand

Kurt Russell played him already

Kittles missed 17 games in 02-03 and sat out a whole season. And look at him on the Clippers- the guy is very injury prone. I don't really know what FA were out there when they traded K-Mart but I don't think the Nets had lots of cap room. They went out and signed solid role players like Vaugn, Best, and Mercer and were bringing in Kristic and still had Kidney Boy. I know they weren't going to contend, but I thought they still had a good team. Kidd's injury kinda fucked everything up though. Without the K-Mart trade they wouldn't have been able to get Vince. Knowing that the Nets kind of traded K-Mart for Vince almost made me put a gun in my mouth but like I said, I'm glad Vince proved me wrong.
-
While trading K-Mart for nothing was a supremely stupid move, their hands were tied. K-Mart wanted max money and even though he was my favourite Net, I don't think he deserved it and I agree with Nets management in not thinking he deserved it. Denver did and they were put in a no-win situation. Kerry Kittles sucks. The guy was always injury prone and seemed to be in street clothes more time then on the court. I'm glad they got rid of him. Look at him on the Clippers- again he suffered a bad injury. I agree with you there but they either had to give K-Mart a contract he didnt deserve or let him go for nothing. And Kerry Kittles was too injury prone. After Vince's missed shot, the Raptors did try to keep the nucleus together by retaining all the guys who made that run possible so I can't fault them there. Vince was never healthy and the players were never able to hit that peak they had in 2001. They still tried to improve the team with the Jalen Rose team but the players always seem to quit at the end of the season. I do think firing O'Neill was a supremely stupid move though.

I don't think Jimmy is officially a Sox fan or anything- he just plays one in the movie.

The latest twist in the Schiavo case.......
bob_barron replied to NoCalMike's topic in Current Events
It's not Mike's fault that your post was completely idiotic and easily refutable and he didn't even insult you that much. Why don't you refute his points instead of whining? I expected this though since you are the guy who kept claiming that ratings rose on SD! with Hogan as champ. Anyway- wait Jesse Jackson wanted to keep her alive? I don't like agreeing with him. -
I still don't like that they changed everything b/c of the Sox run last year. I know they kind of had to and all but it totally kills the movie for me since Fallon getting the girl and his team winning is stupid. I also wish they had chosen an actual Red Sox fan for the role. I know a lot of Sox fans who are pissed Jimmy got the part and got to be on the field. I'll still go see it out of loyalty to Jimmy and all that but I don't have high expectations for it.

I didn't like Carrell in the pilot but he thought he was spot-on in the second episode
