  1. 60 minutes? Sounds like it doesn't have any less movie sequences in it than any other recent game... <intro screen to newest RPG> <presses Start> Game: "Press Start, then Triangle to skip movie sequence" <presses start, then Triangle> <game ending credits begin to roll>
  2. I wonder if he has 10 year-old third-world kids writing his music and lyrics too
  3. Woohoo, I'm special!

    Straight Edge

I don't care what other people at a party do ...unless it involves keeping me from doing something I want to
  5. Quite obviously enough, the episode was entitled "Harley and Ivy" Edit: And I see it's on your list
  6. "It's all me, baby"
  7. Speaking of flaming, I went to your HQ site, and you don't have the episode where HQ and Ivy move in together, bastard Harley + Ivy + nightshirts = cartoon babe goodness
  8. Angle doesn't need new music. He needs to grow his hair back. Err, no, you can tell from the stubble (when he's had an off day shaving apparently) that he doesn't have anything on top anymore, so growing out his hair would result in him looking like your American Finkle, it's true it's true Oh yeah, keep the theme
  9. Someone must've ripped the comma key off of HitMan's keyboard
  10. If we're going by city alone, Barry Sanders is the only huge sports star to come out of Wichita Darren Dreifort would be a distant second, but now he's only remembered for "what coulda been" If you're covering the whole state, Kansas has produced two NFL HoFers (Gale Sayers, John Riggins) and one future NFL Hall of famer (Sanders) I'm only counting homegrown talent, BTW, not people who only came here for college, hence Wilt the Stilt doesn't make my list in this case

    wwe dvd's

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that if I want a wrestling DVD, I'm gonna have to buy it The big two (BBV and Hollywood) around here have jack shit when it comes to wrestling or anime or really anything outside of the Hollywood norm
  12. Slayer

    Argh

After seeing shows for the last two years where fans do nothing but sit on their hands for 179 minutes out 3 hours of action, I wonder why people bother going to wrestling events anymore.
  13. Shit, if he goes, what'm I gonna do with my Manny jersey Dammit, I should just invest in generic no-name jerseys from now on
  14. Hawk fake suicide = Worst Camera Angle Ever
  15. Well, now that I think about it, it's only censoring male-on-female violence, as apparently female-on-female violence is okay, as you apparently still get WWE women's matches up there Now if they banned those off TV... I would envy Canada
  16. Okay, now as much as how I hated what happened to Vader in 1995, now I have to play the other side for some reason Hasn't Hogan made a career out of no-selling people's finishers? From Orndorff's piledriver to Andre slamming him to Savage's elbow to Flair's Figure Four to etc. Wasn't Hogan's match template up to that point almost always: Balanced match -> Heel gains edge -> Heel beatdown with Hogan mildly overselling -> Heel finisher -> 2 count -> Hulking up complete with no-selling -> Boot wham legdrop pin So really, how could you have expected that his match with Vader was going to go over any differently I loved Vader as much as any heel mark in 1995, but I did see the Hogan match template coming from a mile away as well Just some thoughts
  17. Well, I laughed
  18. It was at BATB, that was actually held at the beach. What pissed me off more about that match was that Hogan resurrected the (as I said elsewhere) retarted "escape = win" cage match rule for that, the only time I can ever remember WCW using it.
  19. I forgot about that too Hell, by late '95, it was clear Hogan was getting major "Get the fuck out of the ring" heat from fans, hence the vacation in Spring '96 before the nWo turn
  20. I too was surprised by the eloquence, but I suppose you can never be too sure about the facade wrestlers put on (years ago, who would've thought Cactus Jack was a smart man?) I got a real good laugh out of the whole "having to treat Rena Mero with kid gloves at WM14" thing
  21. Fox Executive: "Dammit, you can't be throwing up fake headlines at the bottom of the screen during a supposed Fox News broadcast, people might think it's real!" Simpsons Representative: "What if we make it CNN or MSNBC?" Fox Executive: ".....that's fine."
  22. I thought about this while making a post in the TNA folder... At Halloween Havoc '95, Hogan and Wight had their monster truck match, and it culminated with Hogan "accidentally" shoving Wight off the top of the supposedly tall building to his death... if death lasts ten minutes I never actually saw the event, but how did they do it? Was it not really that high up (i.e. they lied where they were)? Was there a platform for Wight to safely land on? Was it a camera trick?
  23. Hogan did initially boost WCW at first, but by late '94, the decline was evident in WCW. The main event pushing of his friends like Duggan and Leslie as well as (temporarily) "booting" Flair out of the promotion did not help things, although it's been well established that 1995 was just an all around bad year for wrestling on both sides, whether WCW (Uncensored, Flair beating up Savage's dad, Monster Truck Mayhem) or WWF (Nash as non-drawing champion, King Mabel) Although that did allow ECW to sneak up from behind (as that's the year I found it and considered it a wonderful alternative to the shit the big two were piling out then) (I know this isn't about TNA, but I wanted to chime in on that)
  24. Hehehe, you said "pulling out" But yes, apparently overnight is still fair game for cable networks, as I've seen quite a few commercials for things like getting porn tapes in the mail around the 2-3AM mark (back when I used to work overnights) Only in the United States, really ... You're Canadian right? Isn't that the same county that won't show any type of violence towards women? That happens in the real world last I checked But really though, what are Canadian TV standards? And any of you other int'l posters (UK, Australia, etc.) feel free to answer for your country as well
  25. What the hell is the big deal about locking someone in an ambulance anyway? <Wrestler A gets thrown in back of ambulance by Wrestler B, back doors shut behind him> Wrestler A: "Oh no, I'm trapped in an ambulance!" <Wrestler A just reopens back door> Wrestler B: "Well that worked out well..."
