On the positive: a look at "new" characters from the D.C. universe. The negative: I'm going to be VERY pissed if Supes, Bats and the rest become BACKGROUND characters. I got no problem with stories where one or more of them team up with the likes of Orion or The Demon, etc., but I don't want stories that focus only on the antics of the Atom.

Everyone keeps bringing up Jeff Hardy, but honestly, has there been anything even remotely credible that confirms he's going to be coming back? The most I've heard is that people are talking to him, trying to convince him to come back. Which is a hell of a big difference than him agreeing to return and the WWE drawing up a contract.

I'd love to know where you live, because if I did an in-depth analysis of your city's police department, I'm pretty confident that I'd found this little assertion of yours to be untrue. Christ, you're REALLY overeacting here. No one's saying that police harassment doesn't exist. You, on the other hand, are using a HYPOTHETICAL - that this new ruling will lead to SOME abuse by the police - and somehow twisting it into an assumption that hundreds if not thousands of harassment cases will be beginning on the streets TOMORROW. You're overeacting. Police harassment exists, but not on the scale that people like you seem to be thinking it does.

It's Slate. How fucking biased to the right can it be? And Ebert's review was LAUGHABLE. Ebert's harshest criticism of Moore was "Gee, sometimes I GUESS he plays a little loose with the facts....", which is probably the mildest rebuke of Moore one can possibly make. Ebert's review of the film is so biased for Moore than it is essentially of no greater value than mine would be if, after I had seen the film, I proceeded to give it a "thumb down" for no other reason than I didn't like its ideology. If you're ideologically liberal or of the left, the last thing you should do is champion Michael Moore. He makes you look about as good as Coulter does conservatives.

You must not read this forum much. I'm a conservative. I don't mind reading books that criticize conservatives (or liberals, for that matter), so long as they're presented in as objective a manner as possible. Guys like Franken, or Michael Moore, I equate them with such wonderful propagandists as Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity. I wouldn't mind reading Bill's book because, even as a conservative, I don't hate or even dislike the man. I mean, we're not talking about HILLARY here.

Two things: 1. Amazing Red, little spotmonkey that he is, is SOOOO much more entertaining than the minis. I'd wager large, substantial sums of money that the vast majority of the public would rather see an Amazing Red match than dozens of Mascarita Sagrada matches. 2. If the AAA workers got over with the TNA fans, then wouldn't logic dictate that the CMLL workers, WHO ARE BETTER THAN THE AAA WRESTLERS, would get over as well? There's nothing that Heavy Metal or Abismo Negro can do that the top CMLL workers can't do better.

I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong for us to have that role. But I do know that if we didn't act in that role, people like you would be bitching about us, being the major superpower of the world, having a moral and ethical responsibility to function in that capacity. So really, we're damned if we do, damned if we don't. People are going to bitch one way or the other. I'm not sure that involving ourselves in African wars is a smart move, however. Many of those countries seem to be involved in conflicts that are even more insane than the Middle East, if that's possible.

Clinton really isn't relevant anymore; I'm not going to be snide and say that it's because of 9/11, but the fact is, he's out of the spotlight, for the most part, and in this book he doesn't really say anything that you wouldn't expect from him (which is to say, he doesn't really admit he's wrong about the whole scandal or apologize for it), so there's really nothing to offer. Whether you like(d) Bill or you didn't, America has, for the most part, moved on. All the book really does is bring back nostalgic memories. I may have to give it a read. Apparently, if what the talking heads are saying is true, he's *reasonably* kind to President Bush on the matter of Iraq (namely by being relatively mild in his criticism of him, but then again, Clinton was never the type of person who bought much into, or frequently spouted, liberal rhetoric), which, I'm sure, is not exactly what Democrats were hoping for.

I'm going to just flat out ask this in case anyone knows the info: to those of you familiar with mIRC, do you know where (server, channel) I can download a WORKING ROM copy of the recently released GBA ports of Super Mario Bros I and Legend of Zelda? I've downloaded ROMs of those two at least a couple times over the past couple weeks, but when I open them in my emulator all it says is "Powerpak On" or some such nonsense. I'm dying to get a working copy of both games.
