You can make it no longer desirable by offering attractive alternatives. Establishing democracy in the Gulf will work towards doing exactly that. Comparing American fundamentalism to Islamic fundamentalism is a poor analogy indeed. The fundamentalism here is very minor in relation to the amount of Islamic fundamentalism prevalent in the world, and in general is far less violent. It's largely kept in check, as well, which can't be said for the Islamic world in general.

Here's my thing about Franken - I generally don't care about him or what he does, at all, but I totally believe he's every bit the whore as his conservative counterparts. HHH wasn't even on TV, at least not for anything significant, in the two weeks prior to the PPV, and wasn't even the focal part of the match, which revolved more around Goldberg v. Kane. Therefore I think it's just BAD booking to put the title on HHH (again) and only further legitimizes the belief that he's at Hoganesque levels of backstage manipulation. The "Evolution was given all the gold to build up the babyfaces!" excuse is such bullshit, too.

That's not how it works in real life. Certain individuals are, effectively, considered more valuable than the rest of us, and there are protections which reflect this. Heads of state, children, women, even to some extent racial minorities - all are afforded safeguards & protections (which might include, for example, harsher sentences) which others are not.
