WOW! JMA made a negative post about France!

Ruby Weapon in FF7. Took me about 1:48 to beat him (I timed it), because my two teammates were dead and I had to keep pecking away at him with Cloud's double slash & Comet attacks.

Better than Gaiman's Sandman ? I don't know about that. Great series, though.

Well the Firefly movie might not happen. Angel might end this year. And if Joss is given this, he will know what he is doing. He does something that WWE needs to learn from: plan ahead. He had the idea about season 5's storyline 2 years before hand, whihch is pretty good storyline planning if you ask me. I don't read comics, but I hope Joss gets it. Speaking as someone who does read comics (and the X-books at that), I say it's a bad idea. I have absolutely ZERO confidence in Whedon to do this right and frankly, it pisses me off that Quesada and / or Jemas is giving him this simply because of who he is.

If the dogs in question are pitbulls, I got no problem with this. I love dogs - they're my favorite animal - but THAT particular breed should be exterminated.

No. It was just a statement. It wasn't directed at anyone. He supports the NRA, something few liberals do. People (i.e. liberals) bring up the gun-control issue as if it makes a fucking difference. If he's moderate-to-conservative on one issue, but he's far-left on so many others, it cancels it out. I agree with Mike's assessment of Dean. He's likely to get the nomination, and he'll try and move to the center (with help, wink wink, of the press), but ultimately he'll fail to sway a majority of voters to win the election.

Totally inaccurate. Lee was personally opposed to slavery, and was wise enough to understand that the practice of slavery itself would die out in a relative period of time as it was an economic system that had absolutely no future in the increasingly modernized world. He fought for the Confederacy purely out of loyalty to his home state. I'm not down with the modern trend to treat Lee like the 19th century's version of UBL. He was arguably one of the finest military minds that this country has EVER produced, or ever will.

All the All Japan wrestlers should head over to the WWE. It's probably the only place where they'll actually get booked WORSE than by Mutoh.

I would not only watch a weekly Warrior show on MSNBC, I'd tape it as well. It would be pure comedy GOLD and you KNOW it.

The One & Only "Dean Using Religous Speech" thread
Vyce replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Between this & the Osama comments, I'm now completely convinced Dean is legally insane. This guy's going to have a total meltdown before the primaries are even over. -
You'll love the end where it's all revealed that the entire series has just been the delusional fantasy of Jesse Custer.

2Gold is ABSOLUTELY correct. Individuals accused of a crime as serious as child molestation shouldn't be allowed to leave the country at will - does no one here remember Roman Polanski? Don't be getting foolish, now. Grown men do NOT share their beds with preteen / teenage boys. I don't care if that man had a fucked up childhood. Hell, lots of us have had fucked up childhoods, it doesn't make us want to cuddle with a 5th grader. Where the hell is this notion of innocence coming from? Not in whether he's guilty or innocence - I'm asking, where the hell do you people get the idea that there's NOTHING illicit that could possibly be going on with a grown men who feels he needs to sleep with kids? Is it the fame? Cause I would imagine that if you heard that Joe Blow down the street liked to throw sleepover parties for adolescent boys just because he "loved kids", you'd probably be a little uncomfortable letting your kid in on the "fun" - or at least I hope you would. As for your woman analogy, two words: Paula Poundstone.

Might as well turn him face - NOTHING is being done with him. Of course, if you do turn him face than you essentially eliminate what's made him unique for the past few months and he just becomes another directionless babyface. And I have no clue how they'd turn him so soon after the whole Lita angle. I respectfully disagree. In my eyes, she's actually looking pretty attractive, and I was NOT the biggest fan of her looks pre-injury.

Limbaugh says his privacy is being violated
Vyce replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
How fucked up is this..... .....I'm pretty much a life-long conservative, yet I couldn't tell you the content of any given Limbaugh show, ever. Yet some of my "liberal" counterparts seem to know WAY more about Rush than I ever will or care too. -
As has been already established, PETA funds actual terrorist organizations. Thus, if you support PETA, the terrorists win.

WOW, that link is probably the most pro-Moore apologist I've ever seen.

You know, after seeing Big Show on MSNBC, I really think the guy could be an asset to the company after his ring career is over & done with. Never thought I'd be giving the guy props, but he comes off as very personable & good-natured. He'd be perfect for P.R.

Prez, there's a whole LIST of fallacies, half-truths, and flat-out lies from "Bowling..." I remember it first being posted here by, speak of the Devil, our own MikeSC. EDIT: Found it. Right here.

Are some of you joking about Nader? Look, the Democrat party didn't lose because of the Greens / Nader in 2000, and they certainly won't live or die by either this time around.

Limbaugh says his privacy is being violated
Vyce replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
I can see where he'd be pissed as well. His lawyer said flat out, "We don't know if they're going to destroy the records or not." That's the key issue. Regardless of whether the cops find anything illicit in those records, Limbaugh (as most anyone would) doesn't want those records to "accidentally" get leaked to the public. -
I'm with JMA in agreeing that theocratic governments have got to go. But JMA, I see where SP has something of a point with your definition of fundamentalism. By the tenets of their faith alone, many religions - perhaps most - would be opposed to at least some parts of secularism, and thus, I think you'd be including in your definitions more religions than perhaps you really would intend to.
-
I find the timing of this, so soon after Jobber's mention of Bush's past indiscretions, to be too coincidental. CONSERVATIVE CONSPIRACY~!
-
I must say, I really, really, really, really wish I was as rich & jaded as these assholes that I could waste my time advocating bullshit organizations like PETA.

Am I the only one who finds it somewhat intellectually dishonest & duplicitious to say you support the troops, but then tell them - repeatedly - that what they're fighting for is based on nothing but lies?
