I loved the episodes that centered around NO MA'AM. The only thing that really irritated me about some of the later episodes was Bud's "Grandmaster B" character. I thought they really ran that into the ground. I hear they originally had a spin-off based around Bud at college planned, but it was scrapped, and the pilot episode was instead made into a regular Married with Children ep.

Haha, I've seen the baby chick commercial. I got a good laugh out of it coming out of my Tylenol-pm-enduced haze this morning.

Jack Evans Injured at Pro Wrestling War show
haws bah gawd replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
Good to know he's ok. I really enjoy seeing Jack perform. -
That was pretty impressive. I liked the Gorilla Press Double Knee Gutbuster thing. Theres no way in Hell WWE would let him use hardly any of those moves. The flip powerbomb to the outside, and the Razor's Edge Backbreaker were especially brutal. I would like to see more of him. What indy feds does he frequently appear in?

When exactly was the last time she (Da Brat) did ANYTHING of relevance? I haven't even heard her name mentioned since the mid 90's, or at least it seems that way.

Maybe thats why London rarely gets Smackdown time. He goes balls out and goes against the company policy... Remember Ultimo Dragon. The guy worked too loose and different from the WWE CW Style so he was completely buried. Speaking of Ultimo, since London did the Asai Moonsault, does that mean he's officially gone? (like when a Basham did the Baldo Bomb the week A-Train was released, and someone did Test's finisher which was a weird type of slam off the shoulders) The Basham that uses the Baldo Bomb used it in OVW. He went by the name Damaja, and called the move "Brain Damage". Back to Velocity. What is this, the 6th time someone has been placed in that same armlock? It seems to be the theme for the night on Velocity. WORK THE ARM!

I agree 100%. Best match of 05 so far. One has to wonder why its always these two who are seemingly allowed to go balls out in a match, but most other guys are limited? Either way, that overhead belly-to-belly into the corner was SICK. These guys should have a weekly match.

I too want to know if London vs Akio happened yet? Hope I didnt miss it. n/m ChrisMWaters answered my question just before I asked.

Me and a friend have a joke between us that we call "Dave says NO!". It started when he walked over, picked up Benoit when he had the Crossface on HHH during a tag match a few weeks back, Spinebustered him, and got the pin. I would love to see a t-shirt with an image of Dave, after standing up and STILL in the Crossface, when he was ramming Benoit's head into the exposed turnbuckle, with "NO!" in big bold red letters under it. Well, I can dream right? Anyway, to stay on topic, I have the Batista shirt. Picked it up at a houseshow a month ago. My only real complaint is whatever fabric WWE has their shirts made of, shrinks by about 30% while in the dryer, even on the lowest heat setting. It pissed me off when my DAVE shirt shank so much after I bought it.

But Orton throws a great dropkick. A buddy of mine once said Orton has 3 moves: a dropkick, the RKO, and Hope.

Bias towards - Batista, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Sting, Sid ( I always liked the guy for some reason), Shelton Benjamin, Triple H, Viscera (same situation as Sid), Eddy Guerrero, Booker T Bias against - Orton (if it werent for him being passable on the mic, I would call him "Erik Watts 2005"), Jericho (never liked him), Bret Hart, JBL

And to think I was loosing sleep over how many times the title was successfully defended by Brian Knobbs. But really, did you or someone else put that together? I didn't follow WCW very much towards the end, so I didn't know it was defended that many times. I just knew WCW discontinued it when Meng jumped to WWF in early 2001.

Tylenol PM hasn't failed me once. I use it regularly when I have to be at work or school early. Plus it doesnt leave you with the hangover that Nyquil typically leaves.

I used to read The Dame's Diatribes every week for TNA and the WWE shows, but since he quit, I mostly read Jhawk's reviews.

I have no problem with Viscera. He moves fairly well for being as massive as he is. I became a fan of his in late '99 when he and Big Show had the match on RAW that was 10 times better than it had any right to be. Back to Masters though. His moveset was your standard Hoss arsenal of clubbing forearms, punches, sidewalk slams, and the SPINEBUSTER~! I honestly can't say that I'm looking forward to his debut.

I was at one of the WCW Houseshows where Benoit defeated Booker T for the TV title. It really blew the roof off the place when he won, since the Horsemen were really big down here in the south (Augusta, GA). At the time I was unaware that they were going to switch the belt back and forth over the weekend (no internet), so when Booker appeared on Nitro, with the TV title, with no mention of the multiple title switches, I was more than a little confused.

I too saw a house show match between Masters and Venis. However, in at the Augusta, Georgia show, Masters won with the HAWSTASTIC SPINEBUSTER!!! I'll give him credit though, because he did slam the shit out of Venis with it.

Is this the match where Orton went for his High Crossbody, and Brock fell backwards, rolled-through, then deadlifted him into the F-5? That was pretty awesome. Back on topic, I HATED 90% of this show. When Batista lifted HHH onto his shoulders, and Flair gave him the thumbs-up, I also, was waiting for the electric chair drop. All I want to say is WWE had better have something big planned for Batista's turn. THis has been built up for way too long for them to fuck it up now.

I always liked Creepshow 2. Me and a friend rented it when we were younger. The story of the folks on the raft in the water, with the acid blob thing was pretty intense. We marked out something fierce when the sole survivor made it to the shore line, only for the blob to jump out of the water and kill him. The "thanks for the ride, lady" story was good too. I love the first Creepshow as well. My favorite stories were the one with Leslie Neilson and Ted Danson, and the bug story. Good, fun stuff there.

The OAO Nightmare on Elm Street thread
haws bah gawd replied to JN News's topic in Television & Film
There wasn't much to it. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but if I remember correctly, Freddy's reanimated skeleton just stabbed him in the stomach with his glove, and that was all she wrote. -
Moves that nobody ever kicked out of.
haws bah gawd replied to Nighthawk's topic in General Wrestling
Luger kicked out of it during his "God Push" in 1997. Norton hit the shoulder breaker, and Tenay and Shivonne (not spelled correctly, sue me) treated it like Luger had just been struck down by the right hand of God himself. Anyways, he kicked out at the 2-count like nothing ever happened. Then went on to rack Norton for the win. -

I dont remember anyone kicking out after Nash's powerbomb. Shortly after posting this, I remembered WM12 where Undertaker kicked out of 2 of them. As far as I know, the only move that's really death itself is the Vertebreaker. -
Metalingus is indeed on Alter Bridge's current CD, "One Day Remains". Though, the version the WWE uses has the chorus before the first verse, so the Alter Bridge disc version is different in that aspect.

Benoit isn't his birth name? Thats news to me.
