ove the summer they'd have built to Dibiase/Hogan headlining the first SummerSlam PPV where Hogan would get the title back. then they still do the Mega Powers breakup later on, leading to WM5 where Hogan successfully defends the title against heel Savage.
-
that's easy. they'd have got someone else to play the same role, win the title at the Rumble and lose it to Hogan at WM7

losing to The Undertaker is not something humiliating. even at the time, Taker was a former WWF Champion who had beaten everybody, including Warrior and Hogan, and had recently turned face and needed somebody to put him over. there are several things Jake Roberts has done in both wrestling and his personal life that are a million times more humiliating than losing to Taker and helping get him over as a top babyface.

love the simple stuff when it comes to double team moves. i thought Team Angle/World's Greatest Tag Team's atomic drop/superkick was great.

can actually see Heidenreich winning this, with help from (don't throw up here) Snitsky, leading to Kane&Taker v. Snitsky&Heidenreich at WMXXI
-
not sure. but if tag matches count, hands down the best Bulldog/Michaels match is the tag title match from RAW in 1997 where Shawn and Austin won the belts from Bulldog and Owen.
-
that was part of the storyline of the match, leading to him passing out in the figure four at the end.

are you saying he's number 1 in all those categories?

What happened in the WWF the day you were born?
brighty replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
wasn't a show the day i was born, but the day after had: WWF @ Pittsburgh, PA - Civic Arena - May 14, 1982 Baron Mikel Scicluna defeated Bill Berger Johnny DeFazio defeated Tony Altimore Ivan Putski defeated Adrian Adonis Steve Travis & Rick McGraw defeated Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito via disqualification WWF World Champion Bob Backlund fought Blackjack Mulligan to a double disqualification Tony Atlas defeated Jesse Ventura in a steel cage -
Hogan and Rock v. Snitsky and Hiedenreich. buildup: Brooke gets pregnant, Snitsky kills the baby and beats her down, Hogan makes the save. tell me that wouldn't draw money
-
In Flair's book he says that was Hogan's idea cos he wanted an Ultimate Warrior clone so he could get his job 'back' from WrestleMania VI.
-
WrestleMania XX definitely. that 'Mania of WrestleMania' show is fantastic, and the show itself is really good, too.

i remember Sable sitting at ringside once on a Nitro shortly after leaving the WWF. what was she doing there, were there any plans to bring her in?
-
i've never hated anyone more than Scotty Too Hotty. they could stick him against someone really shit like Heidenreich on next weeks SD and i would unashamedly be rooting for Heidenreich to kill him.

Schwarzenegger: Vince McMahon is like the devil himself! speaking of the devil, see me fight the devil in my new movie THE END OF DAYS! Ross/Cole (cant remember which): Will it be THE END OF DAYS for HHH at Survivor Series?!?

If you were a wrestler, would you: Prefer to be given only finish and call everything else in the ring ? Lay the entire match out beforehand ? depends on the opponent. in most cases, finish and big spots beforehand. BUT, if i'm in there with some clueless idiot like Heidenreich, or someone with a reputation for injuring people like Goldberg, i wouldn't be wanting to rely on them to improvise something. Like to have your promo's scripted ? Or just be given a couple of bullet points, and wing the rest ? bullet points and improv the rest Blade often ? Only on occasion ? Would you rather never blade at all ? only in big matches where the situation demands it. and i'd blade following a spot where its realistic that i'd bleed, and not dumb stuff like following a TLC match where nobody blades and then blading from a simple spot getting my head banged into the ring steps What style would you like to wrestle ? Why would you prefer to employ that particular style over others ? more storyline driven matches, like the old NWA stuff, rather than highspot after highspot with no meaning to it Refuse to take certain moves ? Only take them when working with certain wrestlers ? i'd take anything if the other guy knew what he was doing. Are there any match types you'd like to wrestle in a lot ? Some match types you'd rather never have to work in ? not a fan of the garbage hardcore stuff, so no barbed wire thumbtacks explosion fire matches or any shit like that. of the stipulations currently being used by the WWE i'd like to do all of them. What style of normal match would you like to do the most ? Would you prefer to sell or to dominate ? Would you like to do long matches ? long matches would be great. and not bothered as to working face or heel, would like to do both at some point Would you like to have a manager or valet to work spots with, or would you rather just do it all yourself ? managers can be total heat machines, imagine working as a heel being managed by a Heenan or Heyman or Cornette and tell me you wouldn't fucking love it Are there some types of angles that you would refuse to do ? Some types of angles that you'd love to do ? i'd draw the line at being raped by Heidenreich What promotion would you like to work for the most ? What promotion would you hate to work for ? none of the garbage promotions like 3PW, cos as i said earlier, not a fan of the hardcore stuff. ROH would be great, as would WWE obviously since they're the biggest around, TNA too, and also would have to go and work in Japan just to see what it's like Any wrestlers today that you'd like to work against ? Any you would avoid working against at all costs ? i'd work with anybody but i'll not deny that Me v. Benoit, Eddy or Angle would be great What wrestlers from the past would you like to work against ? What wrestlers from the past would you not want to work against ? i'd be loving working with Flair, Race, Windham (in his prime not his lazy later years), Bret, Shawn, Hogan (just to say i've done it), Andre The Giant (see Hogan), Austin, Rock, Foley, Taker (as long as he no-sold everything and i could be the cowardly heel), Steamboat, Vader and Sting. and would love to work tags with The Hollywood Blondes, Arn and Tully, Road Warriors, Edge and Christian.

football (soccer for those who live in countries which call it that) radio show last year: Presenter1: we've got an email here saying the Arsenal player's behaviour would be better placed in the WWF Presenter2: that emailer is wrong. first of all it's WWE now... Presenter1: oh, ok. he actually wrote 'WWE' in the email but i thought it was a typo.

i've gotta go with the introductions for the Over The Edge 98 Austin/Dude Love main event: Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, at this time it is my privilege and honour to introduce to you a man who for four decades has gained squared circle like no other before him. A man who built a career on pride, honour and integrity. A legend who held over 20 titles throughout his illustrious career. This made made World Wrestling Federation history by becoming the first ever InterContinental Champion by surviving a gruelling tournament in Rio de Janiero. When we speak of this man, we can only compare him to other Canadian legends like Wayne Gretsky, Gordy Howe and the great Ed Murray. A role model for children, a friend to us all, please welcome tonight’s guest ring announcer, Mr. Pat Patterson. Patterson: Well, for the second guest of the evening. This man is like a beating tom-tom head on the reservation in his Native Oklahoma. Inside this man beats the heartbeat of America. Throughout his esteemed career, which began as an amateur champion at Oklahoma State, this gladiator has truly been the foundation on which this industry was built upon. He’s a loving father, a devoted husband. This man is destined to be the only Native American-Indian in the World Wrestling Federation Hall Of Fame – there goes Strongbow – Some call him the re-incarnation of Jim Thorp, we call him a friend, and, ladies and gentlemen, he’s a proud co-owner of the Brisco Brothers Bodyshop, located at 4315 Nort’ Hubert Avenue, Tampa Florida. Yes, that’s right, 813 879 4421, and folks, it’s worth the drive. Your guest timekeeper this evening in tonight’s main event, Jerry Brisco! Our second guest this evening, there is no word to describe what this next American icon has meant to all of us. We’ve laughed with him, we’ve cried with him, but through it all he made all of our lives worth living. He’s given us hope, love, understanding and the will to say ‘YES I CAN!’ Ladies and Gentlemen, and children of all ages, please stand in honour of our special guest referee, and owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Vince McMahon! And now, the challenger for tonight’s main event, perhaps no greater success stories have been written in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. This rags-to-riches story shows what can happen by following Vince McMahon’s example. He’s an inspiration to us all, and one of the most popular and respected athletes of his generation. Adored by millions as the cat who makes the kittens purr, ladies and gentlemen, your number 1 contender, please give it up for DUUUUUDE LOVE! And now his opponent (crowd is rabid by this point): Just sit back and relax for a minute, just sit down for a minute and be quiet. First of all, he is a beer swilling fool. He is a foul-mouthed punk (Lawler: finally a real ring announcer!); he’s a disgrace to every human being today. Well I got news for you, I am not going to introduce a bum. Lawler: I don’t blame him Ross: This man needs no introduction! *glass breaks, arena goes fucking mad*

at the start of this year Williams was getting beaten convincingly by Michael Sprott. just cos he blew by a past-his-best Tyson doesn't change the fact that Williams is a poor boxer. he's got no chance.
