  1. I'll get back to you later with an order.
  2. He got TRIPLE-TEAMED, while the referee was down, until someone made the save. 1. Benoit fights off Evolution. 2. Benoit is manhandled by Batista behind the referee's back. Considering Benoit was the one wrestling for sixty minutes, and not vice-versa, I think Batista has a reason to eventually overpower Benoit. 3. Benoit fights off another 3-on-1 attack. 4. Benoit is decked with a chair when his back is turned. 5. Evolution begins to attack Benoit. 6. Eugene makes the save. Benoit did the same to all three members, until the fatigue of the match set it on him. What else did you expect? Eugene had the most amount of rest, considering Batista and Flair already went though a battle royal, and just in case you forgot...Benoit and Helmsley are in an IRONMAN MATCH. --He fought off Evolution AGAIN. --He makes Triple H submit AGAIN...twice. --With the title on the line, he beats Triple H...AGAIN. Here's a quick point: Doesn't the eventual save by Eugene likely set-up Eugene/HHH for Summerslam? Thus, the interference made sense in the grand scheme of things, and ushered Benoit and HHH away from each other permanently. Feuds have to be constantly created in the WWE due to the amount of television shows and pay-per-views. The run-in was a plot device...one which blows off an old feud (Benoit/HHH) and sets up a new feud (Eugene/HHH).
  3. --Adaptation --Any Given Sunday --The Bourne Identity (Updated SE) --Death To Smoochy --A Season On The Brink (the ESPN movie) --Snatch (2-Disk SE) ...all for $54 or so. DTS is a used copy from BBV, so I'd still be able to return it upon my first viewing of the movie. It was only $3.99, so I figured it was worth such a minimal risk.

    I think I died......

Fox Sports signed two people away from ESPN - Max Kellerman and Bill Wolfe. Michael Holley was offered a spot on the show as well, but it required him to leave his column at the Boston Globe behind, which he agreed to. On topic: After the first segment, I was all too ready to put my fist through Bayless' head. Stephen A. Smith is a debacle in himself, but Skip kept making one outlandish comment after another. For example, when discussing the possibility of Randy Johnson going to the Yankees later this week, Bayless remarked that Johnson (exact quote)..."doesn't have the stomach to effectively pitch in the playoffs" Skip...does the 2001 World Series ring a bell?
  5. Perfect Dark. Now, I know that it held up pretty good as a stand-alone game, but as a "sequel" to Goldeneye? What also frustrated most users was the requirement of the (newly-introduced) expansion pack for that crop of releases. Basically, you needed the hardware to access about 95% of the game's features.
  6. 1. Snatch (after repeated viewings this week...) 2. Rudy 3. Scarface 4. Any Given Sunday (thanks for the peer pressure, Nick...) 5. Remember The Titans Honorable mentions, in order... Boiler Room The Best Man (Fonda) Man On Fire Matchstick Men Casablanca
  7. Ladies and gentlemen of the forum, this is the TSM "Understatement of the Year"™ for 2004.
  8. LeBatard is reporting it to ESPN - it's on the ESPN.com front page.
  9. HOLY-FUCKING-SHIT.
  10. I'd like to get in on the PS2 league. My copy of NFL 2K5 is reserved and ready to be picked up at the local GameStop, so I need to head on over there real soon. How long will this league go on until? I'm only asking due to having dial-up for the next two months, at the most. Once we're in September, I should be moving back to Oregon, where we will have a Cable/DSL connection. If we stay on that long, my connection will be pretty fluid and smooth.
  11. So, they're going to finish behind the Phillies, Marlins AND Mets, huh? Bobby Cox for President~! --- The Braves look to be shopping for a everyday 1B to supplant whomever is platooning at the moment (Franco and LaRoche, I guess). Early signs pointed to Olerud, but Kurkjian(sp) shot that down today on Sportscenter. Anyone else (even non-1B's) worth taking a look at? I know the Bravos have been looking at Benson (in the vein of the '97/'98 trade for Neagle), but I don't know if they can add on another liability right now.
  12. Well, to be exact (and honest) about Gunn's victory... As Gunn stunned him with a punch, Williams stumbled backwards - which turned into tripping onto the mat, completely tearing his hamstring. Williams stood up, but he had no way to defend himself due to his leg giving out beneath him. He was easy pickings for Gunn to legitimately knock out, throwing a wrench into the writers' plans.
  13. 1. San Antonio - The best in the West...for now. 2. Minnesota. 3. L.A. Lakers - They add depth, which was the knock on them for years. Losing Shaq spells disaster for them in the playoffs, but they'll beat down the weaker teams in the regular season and early postseason. 4. Sacramento - Better than the rest of the West, but not those top three. 5. Memphis - Solid nucleus that needs another star to inch into the upper echelon of the West. 6. Houston - Not as great as everyone pegs them to be, but they will field a great team under Van Gundy. 7. Denver - Let's see where K-Mart ends up. 8. Dallas - Losing Nash shakes up the entire face of their gameplan. Losing Jamison to pick up a cancer in Stackhouse is also a big blow. I highly doubt Cuban won't make another move before the season begins, though. 9. Phoenix - Solid team, but the backcourt and bench is still suspect. A bit undersized in the frontcourt, as well. 10. Portland - A victim of every other team above them making a move. Their ranking will improve as soon as they sort out SAR's situation. 11. Utah - I'm not sold on Okur at ALL. Boozer makes a great addition, but they just need to stock up with the next wave of draftees and sit on the cap space. 12. Golden State - Just missing the playoffs last year, they didn't improve much, but will stay away from the cellar as Murphy and Dunleavy develop. 13. New Orleans - This team will not cut it in the West...at least not yet. 14. Seattle - Losing Barry is a huge blow to the backcourt. 15. L.A. Clippers - Well....DUH. This is all assuming that: --Q goes to the Suns (not determined yet.) --The Lakers keep the pieces they have right now. --The Boozer signing goes through. Awaiting: --Portland moving SAR. --Kenyon's decision. --Dallas making a move.
  14. EDIT: Crap; BPS's PM beat me out.

    Prime Tyson

Ditto. Only had enough time to catch Tyson/Johnson in its entirety, which was HILARIOUS for the reasons you already mentioned. Johnson walking into Tyson's right hook for the second knockdown (and subsequent KO) was frightening. I'll make it a priority to record this show when it comes up on Friday night.
  16. 'nogoodnick' and 'IKCoolJew' = OWNED by yours truly during the 2003-2004 season. Can't wait to place an ass-whuppin' on you folks this time around...with Hawaii, of course.
  17. Just above 6'3", with my weight hovering around 170 or so. I'm currently at 7 percent body fat, but that's not saying much because I'm still pretty thin.
  18. Brock was not making 5 or even 10 million a year in the WWE like his agent is falsely reporting. His downside guarantee was just over 1 million according to Meltzer in a past WO newsletter. ...... With merchandising, pay-per-view payoffs and endorsements, Lesnar WAS making in the area of $5.0 - 10.0 million per year for his two years of work. This is common for the legitimate top-tier superstars when working a full-time schedule. The downside guarantee is a contracted "promise", that means that even if business is in the toilets, or if Lesnar hadn't been positioned in the main event scene for the better part of his tenure with the WWE, he would still be making that year guarantee. Although, Lesnar obviously had one of the better guarantees the WWE had offered to a signee (for one, A-Train re-upped with a $250,000 downside).
  19. As of the last Bulls update, Paxson was looking to move Curry, Davis, Crawford and the third pick to a few teams who were interested, namely Boston, Dallas and Seattle (Pierce, Finley and Allen, respectively). I can't see the Bulls drafting someone at #3 with the depth they're going to have at a few positions. If the Bulls use their picks to draft Iguodala and Jackson, staying put on the roster they have for the 2004-2005 season, here's the depth chart off the top of my head: C: Chandler / Curry PF: Davis / Jer. Williams SF: Pippen / Iguodala / Robinson / Dupree SG: Crawford / Jackson / Gill PG: Heinrich/ Pargo
  20. Where does the remaining eight million come from? Nowitzki, Stackhouse and the pick is feasible (maybe Howard, too), but the depth of the Mavericks is thinned out IMMEDIATELY. C: O'Neal / Bradley PF: Walker / Laettner SF: Daniels / Najera SG: Finley(?) / Delk / Abdul-Wahad PG: Nash / T. Best The [Nowitzki/Stackhouse/pick] deal still leaves Nash and O'Neal under the gameplan of a coach that emphasizes offense over anything even resembling defense. As one of the posters already mentioned, Shaquille will be sucking wind midway into the second quarter due to the fastbreak-style Nash tends to lean towards. Could we get a pool going on when O'Neal will be calling for the head of Don Nelson? ---- EDIT: David Aldridge is hinting at Nash/Nowitzki/Fortson/Daniels/Howard being the combination to reel in O'Neal (ESPN.com story).
  21. Since the last update... 3 for $25 at Blockbuster... The Cooler Kill Bill, Volume One Runaway Jury Additionally... 61* Beyond the Mat: Special Ringside Edition Finding Nemo The Godfather
  22. I'll grab the Lions.
  23. Please please PLEASE put Caldwell on the trading block. Detroit will be going nowhere for the next few years, if they refuse to make themselves better than a third-place team.
  24. Prince's block from literally out of NOWHERE sent the roomful of fans into hysterics. Great fourth quarter all around.
  25. That's not considered an error (i.e. "scored" as an error).
