Goldberg being champ is good because he is not HHH. Someone, anyone besides HHH has to be champ. It makes me sick watching him as champ. I cant take it.

 

And if HHH goes Face, Flair goes face. He's HHH's toy. No way hHH gives up his favorite toy.

gotta work but still have no interest to watch.. new champ or not.. kane should be the next contender for the title.. yeah everyone wants rvd but that wont happen..kanes rampage continues till austin sends in the new champ to stop him, plus it gets a mcmahon off tv

The word going around at Raw is that they will do a Bill Goldberg-Chris Jericho match tonight.

 

WWE.com's "coverage" of Unforgiven is downright amazing. The only match that got any press at all on the site was, surprise, Shane McMahon vs. Kane. In a small piece at the top of the page, they put over Shane's big spot and how it KO'd him, giving the Kane the win. Then, there is a link to click "for Unforgiven", which presumably would be for full results. The only problem is, it takes you to the preview page, not any kind of report on the show. The page does not have one result listed and has not been changed since before the event. So, the only coverage at all of the PPV, by 1:30 p.m. the day after the show on the company site, was putting over the owner's son. It pretty much points out a lot of what is wrong with WWE right now. The even scarier part is that the man in charge of the website is none other than.....Shane McMahon.

 

Speaking of Shane, the gimmicked floor where he fell last night was something similar to the air-filled padding that comes in packages to keep the product inside from moving around. Basically, when Shane hit it, the air was let out (I believe through some kind of release mechanism), breaking his fall. He was practicing the spot earlier yesterday at the show.

Positive things about Goldberg:

 

i) His surname is not McMahon.

ii) He is likely to be booked in squash matches i.e. short ones

iii) He won't be doing long, rambling, promos that take up way more time than needed. He'll just point at someone, shout "You're next!" and snarl a bit, then sod off.

iv) He is over. This is a good reason to put the belt on him, no?

If he is really over then why the anti-climatic feeling last night after he won the belt or those Goldberg Sucks!!! chants during the match? As long as Goldberg drops the title to Kane instead of HHH, then it will be fine for me, but as of now any little chance they had to get Goldberg over was lost back @ Summerslam.

Well, I didn't hear any Goldberg Sucks chants but I'll assume you're right as I was pretty tired during the end of the show. I did, however, definitely hear GOOOOLDBERG chants breaking out several times during Heat and the PPV including every time they ran the promo and prior to the match. You are bound to get Goldberg Sucks chants to some degree because, well, he does suck. But he is also getting a lot of pro-Goldberg chants off the fans, and in my eyes that makes him over, or at least more over than 95% of the rest of the Raw roster.

I didn't hear any/many Goldberg sucks chants either. I haven't heard many Goldberg sucks chants since the week before Summerslam...maybe even before that. I did here a bunch of whiney Fuck Goldbergers who couldn't admit Goldberg didn't really do much wrong at Unforgiven, and also was over last night.

 

Hell...he got about 10 times the amount of crowd pops that RVD, Y2J and Christian got in their match put together.

 

 

I'm actually looking forward to Raw...and the first night of...The Coach and The Snowman...

 

*punches fists together*

 

And for all the RVD for champ guys...I think the reaction during his match last night has pushed him downwards if anything.

 

 

Side note: I wonder how long Maven's gonna take before turning. Maybe we'll see it this week...

I speak only for myself when I say I want no parts of RVD near a World Title program after the two stinkers he pulled against Kane and Jericho. When he is willing to run at full speed again, I might consider it. But I am in no mood to push guys that throw inring hissy fits.

It's a moot point because of previous WWE World Champions, but I don't think that Rob Van Dam is main event material.

 

He definitely has an established finisher. I'll give you that. It's one of the best finishers in the WWE right now.

 

The biggest problem I have with RVD is his other spots and his transition moves. I don't even care about charisma or mic skills. I just hate his flying kicks, backflips and forearms.

 

During his cage match with Kane, he did seem as if he didn't care. However, instead of sloppy RVD forearms, he was throwing WWE style punches. It looked a lot better. Also, during the shoulder blocks that he usually does in the corner, instead of doing two and then a back flip, he did two then got a running start off the opposite ropes to hit the third.

 

Much, much better. Now, if he would turn his top rope flying kick into a missle dropkick, and bring back some of his old ECW surfboards & whatnot, we'd be good to go.

 

If he made those changes, he would definitely be WWE World Title material. At least in my eyes.

 

You can't deny that RVD is over. He would be a new face at the top as well. Hell, if RVD turned heel and moved up the card it might even be better.

Well, I ENJOYED Unforgiven last night and I will certainly watch the show tonight. New announcers, a new champ (finally!) and Lita is back. I’m ready to go home tonight and watch the Raiders lose and then catch Raw at 9.

 

As far as this Jericho/Austin thing, I hope all this buildup and friction will eventually lead to some sort of match because it is pretty pointless otherwise.

And Orton can be put in charge of Evolution, beginning the start of his power trip. And that will eventually lead to him causing HHH and Flair to turn face.

 

In the meantime, Maven can turn heel, Orton can bring him in as new Evo member, much to Flair's chagrin...Flair gets mad, see above.

 

It's all so easy.

WWE has released the following info on tonight's show besides the Shane McMahon angle taped last night (which hasn't been mentioned yet). Rock will appear on an interview on location to promote his movie.

Goldberg's chances of winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven looked bleak going in. For weeks, Triple H and the rest of Evolution got the best of the challenger. But when it came down to business, Goldberg got the job done, and defeated Triple H to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Tune in to RAW tonight on Spike TV, as the Goldberg Era begins in WWE.

After being screwed out of the Intercontinental Championship last night at Unforgiven, Rob van Dam has been granted a shot at Christian and his title. Can RVD top Christian for the gold?

 

In an Unforgiven rematch, Lita will team up with Trish Stratus to take on Molly and Gail Kim. Don't miss Lita's first RAW match in well over a year.

 

In tag team action, the Hurricane will team up with his superhero in training, Rosey, to battle Rob Conway and former World Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree.

 

Also confirmed for tonight's RAW are Chris Jericho, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff and all three members of Evolution. Be sure to tune in and feel the fallout from Unforgiven.

The Raw preview says all three members of Evolution will be on RAW tonight. Does this mean Triple H will be on or Batista returns?

I'm not sure we're even supposed to remember Batista as a member of Evolution.

 

As for the show, I'm only looking forward to The Rock.

Raw is going to suck. Althought it might be funny at least.

 

I'll give NUUUUUUUUUUUU World Champion William F. Goldberg a chance, anyway. Can't be much worse than Raw has been lately.

Why the Hell is that taking up time on Raw? That should be a Confidential segment.

 

Nice to see Jericho gets to be the first squashed by Goldberg.
