Guest StevieNightHeat Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 For those who wonder what WWE has planned for Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak, WWE doesn't even fully know yet. However, they tried an idea out at the house shows on Saturday and today, which saw Cade and Jindrak wrestle as heels and make some homosexual references, in other words, a new Billy & Chuck setup. No word if that is the plan for RAW, or if WWE still wants to test some things out at the live events. I guess this means new music for Cade & Jindrak. I'd be surprised if they can actually pull this "homosexual" gimmick off better than Billy & Chuck. WWE will probably also make them change their names to Garri & Marky, where's Rico when you need him?
Guest Choken One Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 *SIGH* Can't steal anyother gimmick? Can't they just be a RNRexpress knockoff?
Lightning Flik Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 You know, I'm not sure... But I thought someone called this exact same thing happening.
Guest Memphis Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Didn't Cade used to have long hair and wear a cowboy hat? GAY COWBOYS! Money. M
Murmuring Beast Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 This is just another retarded stereotype storyline. WWE can't pull this off tastefully.
BifEverchad Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 I kinda hope they DON'T go ahead with this new idea for Jindrak & Cade. The recycling of gimmicks is just, so...WCW-ish. Is the writing team that stuck for ideas, that they have to resort to using the same gimmick they were using last year?
clean rob Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 If they do go through with this, surely even the most forgetful of marks are going to see straight through such an obvious re-hash of a recent gimmick. And it's not like it was even a particularly successful gimmick.
dubq Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Seriously, when does the "gay trend" in wrestling end?
Open the Muggy Gate Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Why does the WWE punish us with these lame gimmicks?? In this early stage, they really don't any gimmicks in my opinion. Give them a few quality wins over some teams, and THEN give them a gimmick. But for the love of God don't recycle Billy & Chuck, Too Much, Lenny and Lodi, etc.
Guest Fook Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Pathetic idea. Why don't they just have Jindrak shout "Oh you didn't know?" and have Cade moon the crowd when they enter the arena? At least that idea was successful at one point. By the way, is there a source for this?
Guest TheGame2705 Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 I'm all for it if they cut Jindrak's ugly hair. I used to mark out just looking at the guy until he got that bush. I agree though that the gimmick sucks.
Bored Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 I thought Test & Steiner were doing a gay gimmick. Test after all obviously gave him some good man loving since he dumped Stacy.
Highland Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Seriously, when does the "gay trend" in wrestling end? Because it's politically correct to showcase homosexuals and wwe wants to capture that huge (sarcasm) demographic. Nevermind that other 99% of the audience finds it either disgusting (and not in a bring on the heat sort of way) or is just plain indifferent to it. It sucked when Palumbo and Gunn did it, and it'll suck just as bad with this newest duo. Oh yeah, does anyone else remember a few years ago when people said Palumbo was going to be a future maineventer? It's sad how a bad gimmick can ruin a career. He's used to be in the US Airforce; Vince couldn't give him a minor face push during the Iraqi war by having the announcing team mention that every so often?
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 They could be Queer Eye for the wrestling guy, and their gimmick would be of 2 gays trying to do makeovers on other wrestlers, wait a sec Rico did that last year, how about they get a bulldog and they call it Matilda, it's already been done? Then we have one become a millionare with a black servant named Virgil and have the other work for the IRS, damn that one has been done too, how about paint their faces and have them come out with iron men playing through the speakers, that's original.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 If they're so set on doing the gay gimmick why not just sign the Rainbow Express?

Guido went from mafia don to generic crusierweight #3468
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Palumbo/Stamboli were rumored to go down to OVW (yet Orlando Jordan, Maven, etc. are ready for prime-time?). But then I also read they were being sent to Korea (I think) for promotional appearances.
Guest Goodear Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Seriously, when does the "gay trend" in wrestling end? The wrestling 'gay trend' is about as old as the wrestling 'evil foreign guy trend' for the love of all thats holy. What the hell do you think Gorgeous George (not Randy Savage's valet) did for his beer money? Hell, a gay gimmick was just about the first gimmick in wreslting history, it's certainly no trend at this point.
Slayer Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 How long until the 'E' forms the Village People 2K3?
Guest Sturgis Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Isn't there supposed to be a 7 year waiting period for re-hashing gimmicks or characters?
Vyce Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Christ, Sturgis, I don't think they've even waited 7 MONTHS.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 It is kind of funny that there's such a lack of creativity that they now have to rip off ideas that didn't even end a year ago.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 I like them as the guys who just wrestle. But, as we all know, not having a character-like crossing the streams-is BAD. The guys have no real charisma to pull it off (same for Billy & Chuck), plus the fact the whole B&C shit ended nearly a year ago. Are the fans that starved for some gay blood? Has anyone's career ever recovered after a gay gimmick (Goldust's character is more ambiguous than set in stone gay. Like Mick Jagger)? Just give them Heyman as a manager & make them a Midnight Express knockoff. Hell, make them ANY knockoff (Moondog Jindrak & Moondog Cade!), just leave the gay in the closet where you found it.
edotherocket Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Palumbo and Stamboli are in Perth, Australia at the moment doing promotional stuff.
Cuban Linx Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 They could have the best gimick in the world and i still wouldn't care about them until they do something other than dropkicks in their matches.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 How long until the 'E' forms the Village People 2K3? Tatanka Bradshaw The Big Boss Man William Regal The Undertaker Sgt. Slaughter
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Didn't Cade used to have long hair and wear a cowboy hat? GAY COWBOYS! Money. M If they are gay cowboys, naturally every promo will begin with them on the set of an independent movie eating pudding.
tommytomlin Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 I think we're all overreacting. It was only at a house show. They probably just played the gay thing up to get some face heat for Dreamer and Richards (their opponents). I think we should calm down and not curse the WWE to eternal hellfire until it's on TV, if ever.
