For some reason Doug E. Fresh pisses me off. It's either his voice, his beatboxes, or his name.

You dare to speak ill of Doug E.Fresh? That is unacceptable. "The Show" OWNS you.

Oh well. As long as you don't bash Flavor Flav.

It's Flava Flav ya cracka ass cracker

My bad. Sure, I may have misspelled the greatest Hype Man of all-time's name, but at least I didn't bash him. I'm so white.

I am still pissed about not seeing Transformers represented AT ALL...even though they use the autobot graphic in some of the "Strikes Back" teasers...

and two...

Donal Logue's Unfinished Comments On Bon Jovi ...made me laugh for about 10 minutes...

"Here comes Richie...and he's rocking...and we MOVE TOGETHER...oh yeah"

also his comments on Pete Rose were GOLD.

Favorite Moment:

Gilbert Gottfried talking about ?Yale? having a 13 week course on how to master the Rubix cube.

"What next? Oh, I'm majoring in English but my minor is in Boggle! What the FUCK?!?"

I didn't care much for the other What the Fuck moments from what I saw but the above one was gold!

WTF was Boy George wearing?  It must be a sad day when you have to dress that outrageously to try and get a reaction to your dead career on an 80's Remembered show.

I recall reading in Rolling Stone Magazine awhile back that George, at least in England, has reinvented himself as a rave DJ. Which kind of explains the face paint...

The best thing with Michael Ian Black was the thing with the rocking flowers. The flower's head falls off.

That was GREAT.

Oh, and on the Donal Logue Unfinished Thoughts...

"Scratch and sniff? Who CARES? A-C/D-CCCCC! ... That's the band... that we were listening to..."

Flava Flav is cool, and call me super white, but what group is Doug E. Fresh in anyways.

Without a doubt the best Donal Logue's Unfinished Thoughts is his on crack.

Early 80s Doug E Fresh had a hit with Slick Rick called The Show I think the group was called the Funky Fresh Crew or had a number in it.

They actually talked about Transformers on the original series.

My favorite Logue line was from I Love the 70's during the segment about the metric system, in an English accent:

That's a wondrous schlong, it must be 32 centimeters long.

Transformers (the overall toy line and not the movie) was in the first ILT80s special and featured Henry Rollins messing around with two rather obscure Transformers (the Autobot Six-Changer Quickswitch and the Decepticon Clone Pounce) and bemoaning the fact that the toy line didn't feature a subset of Transexual Transformers with interchangable male and female genitals...

I'm watching the '89 episode right now, and that flower thing with Ian Black was gold.

"I killed nature..." :D

Eisen, Rocca, Louge and Sparks are hilarious. When I first heard Doug E. Fresh talk, it sounded like he was having an asthma attack. Btw, did they cover "A Christmas Story" in either episode about '83? That's one of my favorite movies ever.

Nope, nothing about the Christmas Story. Maybe that will be in I Love the 80's Return of the Jedi.

Are you sure? They showed it at the beginning during 1983, but I missed the second half of that one so I missed the full piece on it.

No! No! No! They were just Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick, two of the biggest pioneers in all of rap music, and they had a hell of a lot more hits than the Show. Knock em out the Box Rick Knock em out Rick. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Learn your history. That would be like me claiming Ozzy Osborne was the one guy from Black Sunday :D :D :D

I could have sworn Transformers was in the first I Love The 80's series.

Is there any mention of Hair bands in "Strikes Back?!"

There's way too much hair metal shown. Thankfully it's ripped apart and tossed aside like the garbage it was.

Posted

I know that. It was sarcasm. For someone not to no who Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick are is the equivalent of that to a hip hop fan. And everyone dosen't know Ozzy Osborune music. Many people just know him from the damn show.

Posted

Slick Rick was the man in the 80s with Children's Story, Rick the Ruler, Lodi Dodi as for Doug E Fresh I cannot think of anything else other than the Aight song and The Show.

People only know Ozzy for the Ozzfest now....
