Noooooooo!!!  Not the escaped roid abuser who only knows how to flex and throw fucking forearms!!  DAMN IT, THIS SUCKS!!

You forgot "murderer of Liz" ^_-

Fuck off, Liz was his girlfriend for a few years, he didn't murder her. He's probably more racked in guilt than anyone. Ignorant fucks like you give the internet a bad name.

...I thought the wink at the end would make it know I was joking.

If the manufacturer of a gun can be blamed for the murder of somebody due to the shooter using their particularly brand/model of firearm, then Luger can be blamed for Liz's death.

I fail to see the connection. Liz didn't die due to a gun. Where the hell does a gun hold relevance in this supposed "Is he guilty of murder?" debate that really was pretty ridiculous to be started in the first place?

Because she took too many pills and washed it down with alcohol? Thats hardly his fault. And I didn't catch the wink, it was kinda muddled, I apologize.

Michrome, come to NHB, we'll talk this over.

The Package Piledriver is called that because it was named that by the guy that invented the move, and the guy who gave the move to X: Kevin Steen.

(Pause for someone to say "Who's Kevin Steen?")

Well, he's one of the best technical wrestlers in Canada. He was trained by Jacques Rougeau and wrestles in Montreal for amongst others the IWS.

To quote Kevin Steen on this issue, "I was the first person to use it in Quebec and I named it the Package Piledriver. Maybe someone used it in the past elsewhere, but when I came up with it, I had never seen anyone else do it, nor have I ever seen anyone do it since I started using it. That is, until Mr. X used it tonight on NWA-TNA."

I'm a little confused, here. Wasn't Lex Luger in jail for possession of illegal drugs & steroids? How did he get out, and is his name cleared or is he still in trouble with the law?

I didn't know Lex was intelligent enough to set up his own drug manufacturing company.

He really is the Total Package.

He must be out on bail, just like Kobe Bryant and R Kelly.

Umm, excuse me?

LEX LUGER?

NWA:TNA just is making some DARNED questionable decisions.

I'm thinking that it's a one shot deal, since Luger supposedly has heat with most of the NWA guys who worked the WWA tours.

At least I hope it's a one shot deal...anyhow I really liked tonight's show either way.

For the Luger thing, if it is only a one or 2 shot deal then i think it is fine...

Sounds to me like TNA is trying to recreate WCW.

1) Affiliate with NWA.

2) They have a hot "cruiser" division which is almost always the highlight of the shows.

3) Jarrett, Russo, Sting, Luger, Hogan.

4) They have some of the same sort of booking and angles at time from what I hear.

...I mean, is this not exactly what they are doing? Perhaps they believe that by trying to recreate WWEs FORMER competition, they can themselves become said competition.

Dammit, for some reason, I took an 8 hour nap so I missed everything. Gotta find out if there are replays on DirecTV.

Thank you for sharing that with us.

And LEX LUGER? Jesus Christ, lucky NWA have a huge financial backer, because it sure as hell looks as though they're not in this to actually make money.

No wrestling fans of today remember or remotely care about Luger, however there is a bright side to all of this shit.

...Oh wait, no there isn't.

And I'm here to save us all

Raven is still being wasted

At least Styles is being booked decently for the first time since he won the belt in the first place

Lex Luger??? If I could watch the show I'd boycott on general principles

why the negitivity? Lugar has name value for the marks, that's why they're bringing him in. It's not like he's gonna be the new heavyweight Champ or even be on often. Jeeze. And I was calling a Punk turn on Raven and It didn't happen. Dag.

Wasn't it confirmed that Lex had beat her previously? The cops had come out to the house after she dialed 911 but she refused to press charges. Fuck him for that at least.

Um, Luger has NEVER drawn.

EVER.

And it's not due to a lack of attempts or efforts.

He is NOT a draw.

He throws the worst punches and clotheslines in the business (and, amazingly, he's gotten WORSE with experience).

At Greed, when he was told to job to O'Haire & Palumbo, he and Buff threw a hissy-fit, jobbed in less than a minute, then just laid in the ring for about 5 minutes after the match.

He's unprofessional, in addition to being a crap worker and a horrid draw.

I enjoyed the show alot last night, especially the ending. The DQ finish was lame, but I thought all of the run-ins afterwards were done to perfection including the Abyss heel turn I didnt see coming at all. I dont get WHY that happened, but it still makes sense since they are low on the heel side. To quote my friend who I was watching the show with, "Now thats how you end a show" which is true since it was some high impact stuff that makes you want to watch next week. The Luger thing is weird, but I have to admit it makes me interested to see how he performs, although I'm scared it will be a bad thing. Took me for a surprise though. Likely the idea was pushed by Sting, or maybe he even wouldnt even come back in right now unless they had him in a match with Luger? Who knows.

The Raven stuff with Mitchell seems to be over....not sure where they will go with Mitchell next. I would assume Vampiro is gone.....if not, Mitchell could turn on him and work a feud in there, bring back Malice finally and have him feud with Vamp. That match was surprisingly entertaining as well. I was shocked as hell that Raven is being intertwined back in the world title mix, gives me hope for the company after a few ups and down as of late, and the whole Hogan thing, at this point, doesnt look real good as its a possibility he's working the entire thing and wont even show up at all. So its good to see they are covering their bases......if Hogan bails and they still want to (and should) do Bound by Glory, they should do Raven-Jarrett as the main event. Else, they can build this long, even to April, same time that the match was last year. That is, of course, if the Hogan deal goes through and there is actually a match with him and Jarrett in Feb as planned. Then they can have possibly their second big ppv in April (dont bother in March with Mania on ppv) with Raven-Jarrett. I like the direction.

Most of the matches were good except I thought Douglas and Sandman was lacking alot thanks to Douglas. The tag team stuff has direction for the next title shot (I see a three way next week) and the X division stuff, as weird as it is with that new guy in there, seems to be solid too with Lo-Ki back in the mix, and etc. That battle royal was pretty good, even though I didnt want the X guy to win it, I have to admit he was impressive for his size. Surprised to find out that was Carl Oulette! The opener.....didnt really see where exactly that is going for Kash, really. Piper is coming back which I'm pumped for, too.

Regarding more about Luger, I think its clear he's no longer any kind of draw, but to say he was never is kind of out in left field. Back in the NWA days when he was actually decent, he drew pretty solidly against Flair until they kept teasing him winning the title to the point where people stopped caring. With that said though, a few oldtime WCW/NWA fans might buy the ppv next week just to see an old face such as Lugers, but probably nothing substantial to offset what he likely wants for payment of services. Then again, since Luger definately is in the wrestling doghouse from everything related to the Liz death and the roid seizure, maybe he isnt asking too much to appear nowadays.

You know, I figured after he pretty much killed Miss Elizabeth (What, Confidential isn't truthful?), he'd never get work again.

But I guess Dutch proved me wrong.

I feel like shooting him in the testes with a BB gun, much like in the movie which shares his name.

Fuck Cox Cable.

As of yesterday, you need to have Digital Cable to get PPV, period, which means I'm not going to be seeing TNA for a while, and naturally I missed the show last night.

Assholes.

Man, just spring for the digital. Its not that much extra. I couldn't live without my digital cable.

Although I will say fuck them for changing Comedy Central to channel 58. I missed the first few minutes of South Park last night.

In no way, shape or form should Malice be brought in...

About Luger and bringing guys in in general... if they are paying Luger $3000 for example or any worker they bring in... if that certain worker can bring in 301 ($3010) buys, then it is worth it...

And about Luger, who knows some people may still like the guy... some people have weird tastes... i know of someone who likes Bryan Adams and Jerry Flynn...

How is Raven still being wasted? Not only did Raven win his feud with James Mitchell, but he seems to be back in the World title picture.

You get to keep 40% of the ppv gross, so actually if someone is making $3,000 a shot, they need to draw 750 buys (as 40% of $7,500 is $3,000).

Even Bryan won't be able to say anything positive about bringing Luger in.

HAHA!

I DID find something positive to say.

Although...it wasn't really positive for the quality of product. More like "I like watching car crashes"...

But positive NONETHELESS!

...

um...

I thought they did an EXCELLENT job building up Daniels vs. Low Ki in that one match.
