Primus-"Is it Luck? (with an interlude of "In the Flesh" by Pink Floyd)

Slayer-"Disciple"

Tool-"Stinkfist"

Dying Fetus-"Pissing in the Mainstream"

Those are some more memorable ones I've seen. I'm usually paying more attention to the set itself, and the band, and my immediate environment moreso than each individual song.

The first time I saw Korn perform Chutes and Ladders, before they hit the mainstream, in Pontiac, Michigan.

Went with like 6 people, none of us had heard of them - the first thing we heard was the bagpipes, the pit went ballistic, never seen or felt so much energy from a crowd before or since.

Primus - Jerry Was a Race Car Driver (skinheads went crazy, anti-racists went crazy, hippies went crazy, I was too stoned to go crazy, but I smiled the whole time)

Dillinger Escape Plan - Mullet Burden (It's fucking insane)

ICP - Chicken Huntin' (one of the only songs I remember from this concert (I was dehydrated and almost passed out))

Green Day - Basketcase (yes, I like Green Day...wanna make something of it? ;) )

I've seen a fair amount of bands live, but those 4 songs stood out most because the crowd was going nuts...or in the case of DEP, I was going nuts (whiney, bitchey, Vermonter, "hardcore "kids suck at concerts).

I saw Ra at a Music Festival here last year, and they absolutely tore the place up. Everyone was moshing and having a GREAT time. Someone in the crowd lit a shirt on fire or something, and the lead singer, while still playing, says, "CUT THAT SHIT OUT! YOU GUYS JUST HAD A HUGE FIRE UP NORTH THAT DESTROYED A LOT OF PEOPLE'S HOMES! THAT'S NOT FUCKING COOL, MAN!"

I then went home and downloaded some Ra songs, and they all sucked. It was the strangest thing.

The funny thing about that is that the last time I saw Ra on any local bill for a show (and I'm from their homestate of Massachusetts), they sucked live, AND nobody was moving.

I saw Prince recently, and when he did Purple Rain as his encore it was unbloodybelievable.

Also, pretty much everything I saw Bruce Springsteen do in concert was awesome.

Haraga, I am sorry to say Prince no longer performs 1999, as he says that it is no longer relevant. He doesn't do Little Red Corvette either, for some annoying reason.

At the same music festival, TNT (an AC/DC tribute band) played, and they stole the show. They did a spot-on AC/DC act, complete with "Angus" rolling around on the stage while playing guitar solos. If you didn't know that you weren't seeing AC/DC, you would think otherwise.

Keeping in mind that the only band I saw live that I wanted to see was the Misfits...

"Dig Up Her Bones" - The Misfits (One of my favourite Misfits tunes. Just awesome.)

"Last Caress" - The Misfits (This song was *MADE* by the replacement singer (it wasn't Graves for reasons I don't recall) starting off with "Ok, on this next one, I may need a little bit of help. Think you guys can do it? Here we go....I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY!!"

Roof blows off the fucking place. GOLD.)

Oh well, I wonder who is headlining 'Other Stage' at that time.

Frank Black doing Gouge Away at Leeds 2001 and the Sheffield Leadmill the same year. There is absolutely no need for a pixies reunion.

AWK - 'I Get Wet' at Leeds 2002 and again with me onstage swinging him around this year. Good, soaking times.

Last night (at my first concert ever) seeing A Perfect Circle finish off the concert with "Judith." Place went nuts...it was great.

And James Yeehaw (or whatever his name is) is fucking hilarious and starting playing/singing "Living After Midnight" by Judas Priest after the concert was over.

Great times.

Prince is, at present, a Jehovah's Witness. "Little Red Corvette" is about pussy. That's why he doesn't play it these days.

As for this thread, Sigur Rós doing "Vaka" and "Svefn-G-Englar" during the encore of their show in Atlanta back in March.

Funny thing, when I saw Ra play live, the crowd was totally into them and they put on an awesome show. I was lucky enough to be in the front as well, they did great. The song of the night was definitly "Rectifier."

Unloco is another good live band.

Been fortunate enough to see Tool on two occasions, everything they play is gold.

"Perfect Shade of Green" by Incubus set the Verizon Wireless on fire.

Umm... Tomahawk sucked live.

Radiohead playing Everything In It's Right Place and Paranoid Android stand out to me. Also, The Vines covering Ms. Jackson.

HIM's "secret gig" in Camden this past September had amazing atmosphere, because it was about 150 motherfuckers who were at a totally free, intimate show as a gift from the band. "Right Here In My Arms" was just amazing (this won't make any sense unless you've heard the song, but there were some stoned dudes at the back doing the clapping portion of the quiet bit at the end of teh song, before Linde destroyed everyone's eardrums with his guitar).

That said, the missus dragged me to Hyde Park with 100,000 screaming maniacs to see Bon Jovi this year, and it has to be said that they're probably the best live band in the world, muscial performance-wise.
