haVoc Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Fred Durst took a blow to the head while performing at a Back 2 Basics tour stop Friday, resulting in a trip to the hospital and seven stitches to his face. Near the end of Limp Bizkit's set at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, the scrappy frontman climbed up to the first-level mezzanine while performing "Eat You Alive," the first single from the band's latest album, Results May Vary. While he was up there, an unidentified object was thrown from the crowd, hitting Durst in the face, according to an Interscope Records spokesperson. Bleeding profusely, Durst still had the wherewithal to finish the remaining two songs to cap Limp Bizkit's set. After the show, Durst was taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in midtown Manhattan, where he received treatment and was later released. The incident occurred nine shows into Bizkit's co-headlining trek with Korn, which began November 10 in Las Vegas and continues through Friday in Toronto. This report is provided by MTV News
Corey_Lazarus Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Maybe he'll take the hint and realize nobody likes a Borland-less Bizkit?

Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 when Limp Bizkit comes to my city the only people I see going to attend the concert are 7th-10th grade students. They get no love from the older intelligent rock fans due to Durst fucking Wes over

Guest Fook Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I love the idea that someone paid for a ticket and actually went to the show just to throw something at Fred Durst. You can't buy hatred like that anymore.

You can't buy hatred like that anymore. Yeah but the guy was never really loved to begin with. It's just consistently getting worse, as are his albums.
Youth N Asia Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Usually I don't wish bad things on people...but I can't seem to give two shits about Fred or his band.
SamoaRowe Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Maybe that person just wanted to see Korn perform.
PLAGIARISM! Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I wonder if thowing something at Fred Durst's face is worth the admission price. Probably.

1234-5678 Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 If you guys get a chance, go download this, just search for "Fred Durst Y100 Interview" on Google to hear it, it's hilarious. from Philly.com Matt Cord of WPLY-FM (100.3) isn't wild about Results May Vary, the new Limp Bizkit album, and he told frontman Fred Durst so during their interview Friday. Was that any reason for Durst to unleash an obscenity-filled rant that included a boast that he'd had sex with Cord's wife? (For the record, Cord isn't married.) Cord, aware of Durst's potty mouth, had elected to tape the interview rather than go live. He aired a bleeped version shortly after he and Durst hung up, and Y100 has posted the censored version on its Web site, www.y100.com. The interview began innocently enough. Durst waited a whole three minutes to drop an obscenity. Cord, who says he was just keeping it real, informed Durst he didn't love the record. The big Bizkit seemed testy. "Maybe you're just a late bloomer, and you don't really get it," he said. "Or maybe you're just too old-school to grow and evolve." Cord lobbed back: "Well, it was your first record not to debut at No. 1." (It debuted in third place.) Cord then mentioned that he also wasn't wild about "Just Drop Dead," a song posted on the band's Web site a few months ago. That set Durst off: "We disagree. That's what's cool. Your listeners will like the fact you can be on the radio and be a [very bad word] and I can be a nice guy. You'll edit this part out of it anyway." Cord told him he wouldn't, and said he was tired of Durst's bragging about his alleged sexual conquests, including Britney Spears. Then Durst boasted that he had had rough sex with Cord's wife. Cord reminded Durst that Limp Bizkit had gone from playing Veterans Stadium to the more intimate Electric Factory in the space of four months - kind of a cheap shot when you consider that the July gig was as part of Metallica's massive, multiband heavy-metal marathon. Cord told Durst that he had started the interview "trying to be honest... and you went off on me." "I'm not mad at you," Durst said. "Honesty is the best at all times... so I love that about you. So I'm actually in love with you."
EdwardKnoxII Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Damn Drust sounds like a little kid that can take someone not liking him so he calls him a bunch of names. "I'm not mad at you," Durst said. "Honesty is the best at all times... so I love that about you. So I'm actually in love with you." I don't even know were to begin with that.
Guest The Rising Star Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 So he goes from Spears to this Cord-guy? This can't be true!
