2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 This guy went from dead to lost to found to dead to lost to captured in less than two months. Mob bosses don't go through that much! Hopefully they did catch him and not some damn actor who they think is him. Better do a DNA blood test to confirm you have him.
Guest SideFXs Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Looks to be official now. Ok now those Iraqis afraid of retributions from Saddam can get on with their own lives in democracy. Hopefully Loyalist to Saddam will stop their violence. I bet the democrats just love this news. Another issue shot all to hell. WMD where abouts soon to follow. Oh darn there goes another issue. Reduction of attacks on American G.I. Darn another isssue gone. Economy roaring ahead...
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Awesome news this morning. Just awesome. Yea I have been against this war, and to some degree always will be. Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Am I the only one questioning why it took the Coalition Forces over 6 months to find 1 man in a small town? If it wasn't a prioirty, then it could be different. But then again, if it was not a priority, why wasn't it?

Guest SideFXs Report post Posted December 14, 2003 The American Military found him in a hole in the ground , under a rock. How appropriate! As they showed pictures of his pathetic face, scruffy beard and hair, Iraqis’ men began to shout profanities at Saddam, in the video. CRIES OF FREEDOM WILL BE HEARD FOR WEEKS, IN IRAQ. ....and 4 more years for President Bush.

Superstring 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Well they said he was chatty, maybe he asked nicely for them to leave his tash alone. And I loved the Iraqi journos chanting at the pictures of Saddam What a great news story to wake up to
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 I got woke up for this. Well, color me suprised. Guys like this usually blow themselves away. The affects of this will most likely be felt in the very short and likely the very long runs. It's a great boost of morale, and it's good to know that guy won't be on the streets again when all is done. On the other hand, attacks will step up until that happens. Guest Wildbomb 4:20 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 You know, this wasn't a war that I supported at the start. But I'd like to say: It's about damned fucking time we picked up Saddam. Well done, troops. IF the suicide runs end because of this, I'd say it's time to slowly hand Iraq back over to its people. However, if bombings continue, we need to figure out exactly who is attacking us, whether it be old Saddam fundamentalists, or al-Qaeda. (Yes, I know this isn't a very "liberal" position, but you know what: I couldn't give a shit.)
TSA09 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Good, if it was up to me I'd kill him for good measure but too bad we won't do that. Now I'm sure just because these people can never be happy about something, the liberals will probably take Wildbomb's excuse and bitch that we haven't gotten Bin Laden or some stupid shit. Can't please'em all.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 In other news, George W. Bush just one the re-election of 2004! Good job boys, I never doubted you for a second. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a fuck you Saddam! I still say they need to do a blood test just to make sure this isn't really a version of Walter Matthau. Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Bush is almost certainly back in for another term on this day alone. I'm not too sure about Tony Blair. Here in Britain, people obviously think that Hussein's an erse but most were fairly indifferent to the invasion. As for punishment, Saddam should be publicly executed and it should be shown live on Iraqi television. No one else needs to see it, apart from them.

Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Bush is almost certainly back in for another term on this day alone. Today is really far away from next November, really. Yea but rest assured the propaganda will be running wild when it does come around.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Yea but rest assured the propaganda will be running wild when it does come around. Well.... 1) Hussein was a scared rat living in tunnels. This is not the appearance of a man who is large and in charge. This means that the resistance we're encountering isn't being controlled by Saddam but is simply fighting for the sake of fighting and will have to be dealt with using force. 2) There's no signs the economics improvements are stable, it could fall apart again by November. 3) Rebuilding Iraq is going to be challenging. This is certainly a feather in Bush's cap, but it doesn't guarantee him re-election. The US economy is a transforming beast, what with the amount of work being exported out of the country. And if he pulls a page from his father's book and claims we should simply become a country of servicemen, then he can kiss his ass goodbye with swing voters and the unemployed. Bush will need to prove by November that his group is capable of rebuilding, when all the non-military actions there have been pretty darn attackable (Haliburton favoritism, country building lockouts, and whatever else we've talked about in the past few Iraq threads.) At the same time, the Dems will be railing on the subject as well as others such as the expansion of government powers and increased secrecy under the current leadership. Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 You make good points Jobber and I respect you for them but at the end of the day, if the public could be trusted would they have voted him in in the first place? The general public remember key inicidents. Whether Iraq is rebuilt will be largely put to the side. Saddam has been captured and that's what people will sight as their main reason for re-electing Bush.

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2003 Yeah, whatever. Anyone find it ODD that Bush caught Saddam IN AN ELECTON YEAR? Why, I bet HALLIBURTON had something to do with it.
