Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 On the ROH site: "ROH has never been about individuals. ROH is a team concept. It consists of the most dedicated professionals driven by pure pride to deliver the best performances ever witnessed in a pro wrestling ring. These athletes devote their lives to their art. All is sacrificed from family to friends to personal health for one goal- to produce the best show you'll ever witness in the spirit of ROH. The competitors in the ring feed off the energy of the crowd to produce the special atmosphere that can only be experienced at a live ROH event. We live for that moment when you people are awed, amazed and ignited by the action, spirit and pulse so unique to ROH. Most importantly ROH is made up of survivors. People who persevere and perform at their best when the pressure is on. We can take the hit because we know how to survive. We have been hit hard and we have survived every time. We are a team that can't be broken. We have a bond that extends from all the wrestlers to the fans and nothing can destroy that bond because we have dedicated our lives to it. The ROH team remains intact - our athletes, our staff, and most importantly, all of our fans."

Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 All of the following might be b.s. but it is from the site that started all of this. One of the main guys over at that site that busted RF just posted this on their board. They are also saying that the rumor is that their 3/13 venue is asking for proof that Feinstein is no longer with the company. They are also saying this. An impeccable source told me that his birthday is 07/15/1971. He's 32. Harv This was PM'd to me...don't know if the PM'er wants their name attached to it but it need be seen: The Truth- EVERYONE close to Rob were well aware of his antics. This has been going on for years! So for anyone to come out and say they are shocked or surprised is just out and out bullshit. He is a sick man, and this is DEFINITELY not the first time. Ask anyone that went on the road with him in ECW. He once approached a teenage boy who worked at a rest stop. Little did he know, the boy's father was in the rest room. Ask anyone that goes to Woodys? They will tell you about his "type." Ask anyone about Rob's, "YB Alert?" I am sure you could figure out what YB is. Ask anyone in another company about the time Rob hit on one of their wrestlers at a school. Ask the young fans who attend his shows how many of them he hit on, knowing their age. The point is, this is not news to those that know Rob. And for anyone that has any sympathy for Rob. Rob is an evil man. He has been f*cking with people for years, some of you posting here. Rob gloats about people's misfortunes all of the time in his journal. The ROH fans fueled his habits and his teflon conscious. The ROH shows were a playground to him. Take the ROH and Rob out of the equation. What would you think of a pedophile operating a business aimed at luring a teenage crowd to your town? Rob has seeked counsiling for this before, but read about pedolphilia. Counseling does not work. It is sickness that never goes away. There is nothing wrong with being gay. There is SOMETHING VERY WRONG with pedophilia. And to the news sites that protected and are protecting him. Shame on you. None of these sites thought twice when stories came out about Beefcake's coke habit, Austin punching his wife, Dick Slater's mess. Yet, they are protecting a PEDOPHILE CAUGHT ON VIDEO! The ones who are reporting are spinning it already. A PEDOPHILE we are talking about. The fact a lot of us joked and ignored it for years, makes us as guilty as him. But please understand, this guy is a sick sick guy and this is far from the first and likely not the last time this will have happened. This was posted on the forum of www.lethalwrestling.com - their server seems to be down atm.
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 except money You seem to be missing the point. Any company with him as owner is not going to profit. Right, which is why it would make sense for him and everyone to say that he has nothing to do with the companies any more, and still silently own it.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 He isn't going to be able to "silently own it", it'll be found out. Then when that is discovered, it would hurt those who knew about it and then they'll be looked upon as people who need to go as well. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be pissed if they said that he didn't have anything to do with the company anymore, then later it was found out that they lied. They do not need to risk anymore bullshit.
Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted March 5, 2004 the file's corrupt No one said nothing about this? Damn are you guys slipping!
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Right, which is why it would make sense for him and everyone to say that he has nothing to do with the companies any more, and still silently own it. That's not going to work though. That site is apparently still going after Feinstein with threats to call all buildings they run in as long as he is still part of the company. The Rexplex is requesting written confirmation that Feinstein is COMPLETELY done with the company in order to let them run on 3-13. They aren't going to be able to simply fool these people by just "silently" owning it. The website, the venues, and the fans want 100 percent ensurance that he is not affiliated with ROH in any way. So if he is just "silently" owning the company, that will come out. Without knowing all of the details on how the two companies, ROH and RF Video are set up, it is hard to say exactly what should be done. However, if there aren't any unmovable obstacles in the way of doing this, the best bet at this point would be for ROH to just do away with any association with Feinstein. Assuming the other two partners still want to see ROH continue (as a fan of ROH, I would hope they do), then the quickest thing would just be to boot Feinstein and ideally have Gabe buy in and take his place as 1/3 of the ownership. Then get rid of all association with RF Video. Move all links to merchandise sales to the rohwrestling.com domain instead of the rfvideo domain. Early indications seem to be that Feinstein still hopes to come out of this with his video business. Although he is dreaming if he thinks he will be able to continue that, if I am ROH, I let him keep it around. Just all the workers who worked for both companies now just work for ROH. Basically, just completely disassociate themselves with RF. That much they can do with or without Feinstein's approval if the company really is an equal 3 way partnership. That article is a really good read. Nothing really new, but written very well.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 LMAO, over at WC they aren't allowing anyone to even talk about his video sales in any way. Like they say, you aren't allowed to talk about ANY other wrestling video, unless WC sells it. WC is one huge joke, ugh. Grey Wolf was trying to talk about what would happen to the video business, etc... seeing how that's a huge part of all of this, and that Crimson Mask I mod edited it out. Again, let's not discuss his tape business here please.---CM [ 03-05-2004, 02:15 PM: Message edited by: Crimson Mask I

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Bobby Heenan cancels: "Carmine DeSpirito, local/midwest promoter for Ring Of Honor has confirmed that both scheduled April dates in both St. Paul and Chicago are on via a statement on the Chicagowrestling.com website. However, according to DiSpirito, "due to the course of events this week, Bobby Heenan has cancelled himself from both dates. I'm sure that ROH will make the official announcement soon regarding Bobby's cancellation. I just thought I would let MY FANS know first". Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted March 5, 2004 and it begins. Anyone think TNA will pull their contracted guys? That could really hurt ROH.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 No they won't do that...and I don't think they even can do that. The purpose of the contracts was to prevent anyone from going to WWE. TNA isn't going to upset their own guys by telling them what to do in this situation.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted March 5, 2004 I thought TNA had to approve all bookings. I thought maybe they wouldn't want their talent to work for a promomtion with that stigma. (Who knows, it may not even get "that stigma")
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted March 5, 2004 I don't think you will see many wrestlers leave IF Feinstein is completely removed. The wrestlers that have worked for the company seem to know that this is a situation of one person being in the wrong and with that person removed, the company is okay. A guy like Heenan, who probably knows VERY little about ROH is more likely to see the whole company in a bad light due to Feinstein's actions. Someone not really familiar with the promotion as a whole is more likely to decide not to work there based on Feinstein's actions as opposed to workers who know the promotion as a whole is on the level.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 They gave in on that aspect of the contract. I think the deal now is that you can book guys through TNA...but the guys can go do what they want. I know for sure that CM Punk got all of that waived because he's a bigger star everywhere else than he is in TNA...so they let him retain free reign over everything. Again...even if they can...I don't think they will. If AJ STyles wants to work RoH...TNA isn't going to tell him not to.
Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Now I think ROH as a company will probably survive this. They have wiped away all their two years worth of momentum though thanks to Mr Feinstein and the stink this has made for the fed may never go away. I can see internet sightings of Feinstein and rumours he still owns ROH whenever an internet site or wrestling 'journalist' hasent got a story to last for years. I still get the impression the staff at ROH and some of the workers knew or suspected Feinstein was a child molester and in some way that not only disapoints me greatly but in some way sours my view of the company and their sucess in the future. If they were to go on the path of having their workers joke about this situation in the shows to come I think that would be fucking stupid and sickening imo [and I can see this happening for some reason]. They should move on, change their name and take a few shows out then relaunch.
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Here we go. From Meltzer: "Ring of Honor and RF Video just sent out a press release listing Doug Gentry as the new company President and CEO. He sent out this release: As a result of a personal incident in which Mr. Feinstein was involved, both RF Video and Ring of Honor have made some necessary changes in both management and ownership of our companies. This was a personal incident and RF Video and Ring of Honor as corporations were not involved. RF Video and Ring of Honor are family-friendly organizations. We value all of our customers, vendors and business partners. As a results, the board of directors of both corporatoins voted officially this afternoon to release Robert Feinstein as president and CEO of both RF Video and Ring of Honor. As of today, Mr. Feinstein is no longer officially associated with either company or any upcoming events and I was named the new President and CEO of both corporations. He has been dissolved of all responsibility and ownership in both companies. Our corporate attorney is currently working on all the necessary paperwork. We are also exploring a new name change for RF Video, Inc. and we will have more details soon."

Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Also from DM's update today: --Those at ROH have remained largely quiet over the past few days since the Rob Feinstein scandal broke. I know that some of the company's biggest plans for shows are having to be changed. Most that we've spoken to who work for the company will continue to appear, but there are big names having more than second thoughts.

I know that some of the company's biggest plans for shows are having to be changed. Most that we've spoken to who work for the company will continue to appear, but there are big names having more than second thoughts. Chances are Heenan is one of (if not the) biggest name there since his cancellation will probably cause the St. Paul and Chicago shows to be almost completely re-written (he was supposed to be part of both managing the Second City Saints in big matches in their home areas). I wouldn't be surprised to see Cornette go either. Hopefully with Feinstein completely gone though, most will see that the "problem" is gone too.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted March 5, 2004 ROH and RF video are all full of shit. People knew. it was an "inside" thing where everyone joked about it. How can CM Punk come out and shit on feinstein than stick with the company that RF owns? If any of these guys had any balls, they'd leave the company. It HAS to fold. Its forever tarnished. Everyone can find jobs elsewhere, but I will be suspect of anyone's morality who stands by this entire organization. I'd sell my ticket for any show thats coming up. Honestly, I feel dirty watching any of his RF videos that I've picked up from other people. Thank goodness, I've never supported him in this ridiculous bullshit. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted March 5, 2004 I don't really understand how you can feel that way, but that's your opinion and your right, so go ahead and bash them all you want. As far as the "big names" go, I'm betting Henan was one, Cornette another like OSI said and mabye Styles, who as has been noted is very religious. That could be a big blow to RoH as Styles is the first Pure champ and they seem to have a big deal going on w/him making the Pure belt on the level of Joe's World Belt. And happy 700th Post to me~!
