Other then that I like this idea. I've said a few times on here they need to have a trade/draft every year after Mania' to freshen things up.

I'm sure it has been said before, but I shall say it again. This should just be leading to one big angle where you'll have a small group of guys in the ring who won't be happy about this at all. Just start it on Smackdown with Heyman getting ultra pissed off at Vince which leads to Vince firing him.

 

Cut to RAW, The Dudleys will be split up which will cause them to just walk out of the ring with Vince screaming about how if you walk out, you're fired but they just keep walking. RVD and Booker will do the same thing as will Tommy Dreamer and a whole group of wrestlers with Vince screaming "Dammit I'm Vince McMahon". Go to commercial, come back and Vince is still pissed.

 

Then have Heyman come on the TitanTron, cut some kind of promo about where all things begin again. Pan out and show all the wrestlers behind him in some ECW-hybrid shirt and have Vince actually REACT to it unlike last time where he no-sold it.

 

Cause honestly? This re-pick is a joke. It's like the ultimate cop out because the only thing that changes is when and where Cena, Big Show, HHH, Orton and the usual top guys pin people.

 

I don't WANT ECW or WCW back but I'd be more excited about it than this "lottery".

They shouldn't split the dudleys up because that was a disaster and didn'thelp either of them until they reunited at Survivor Series. I think Evolution will be split up with Batista and Flair gong to Smackdown and Orton and HHH still on RAW. It seems interesting but there are so many ways it could get messed up. I can't wait!!

I just can't believe Steven Richards was the 12th Raw pick last time, beating off the Hardyz, Mr Perfect, Trish, Goldust and Molly. God, if I'd seen that then, I'd have been thinking they were about to push Stevie for sure. How wrong I would have been.

 

And Ivory the 14th Smackdown pick, before Albert, DDP, Christian and the Hurricane? Don't think they planned the last roster split very well.

So it's going to be randomly drawn, yes? Not a 'hand-picked draft' like last time? (incidentally...poor Jericho last draft, coming out of a WM main event and getting picked after so many others)

 

Hard to say what changes will be made, it depends how drastically they want to shake things up. I think it's highly likely that both Cena and Orton will switch brands. Kane and Taker need to end up together if they ever want to make something of Kane by putting him over the Deadman (so that won't happen).

 

Personally, I hope they don't alter the rosters too much, it would ruin all the work they've done to give the brands a seperate identity.

I think it would be kinda funny if they just made everyone on the Raw brand go to Smackdown and vice versa. It would be a waste of time, but I'd still laugh

A Dudleys heel turn would help. I know there aren't many face teams, but the Dudleys could put a band-aid on all their other flaws with a heel turn. Give Bubba a live mic and tell him to go ECW minus the swearing on the crowd. At least then they'll care.

 

As for the Lottery, I support it 100%. I don't see it as a cop out, I see it as a chance to keep things fresh and avoid the key problem of the roster split. Perfect time, perfect concept.... bound to be fucked execution. Well, can't win them all.

The much rumored third brand might be born next week - perhaps Shane or Stephanie heading Smackdown and Heyman heading ECW..it's a perfect opportunity to introduce a third brand.

The reason that Richards was so high up was because only 10 people were picked live on Raw, the rest were drawn in a "lottery" over on WWE.com IIRC. Same with Ivory.

With Jericho, he was in a title match the night of the draft, so he was excluded from be selected which is why he wasn't higher on the list.

 

 

My own personal view on the draft lotteryis that its a really good idea, it'll be nice to have a bit of a shake up, to get the main event leverl talent evenly across the brands, and also to get some lower carders to where they could flurish more so than where they are currently.

Another Young Ego Draws Heat Backstage

 

Reports are circulating that Fifi's on screen push has upset many in the back due to the size of her ego. One wrestler told me "It's like Brock Lesnar all over again. She doesn't understand or respect the business."

 

While Vince needs to create new stars ASAP due to the lost of Brock Lesnar, Goldberg and possibly Kurt Angle, many feel the God push Fifi is receiving will bring down the morale, which is already dangerously low, in the locker room.

I'm calling Matt Hardy to ECW when/if it happens. I think the losing streak gimmick, coupled with his "Matt is seriously underrated" Matt Fact last night will lead to him getting frustrated with WWE and heading to the third brand, where Heyman will make him a player.

 

The Dudleys should NOT be split up. All three are obvious choices for ECW, but I think Spike would go to Smackdown with the cruisers, as was rumored. Also, I think Evolution will be split up, with Flair and Trips staying on RAW, and Orton and Batista taken to Smackdown. Batista will feud with Undertaker, while Orton "comes into his own" on SD! During the split, Evolution will say that they "own" both shows, but this will lead to Orton turning on the group (as has been rumored) and leading to the Trips/Orton match down the line.

 

Jindrak and Cade should be split up, and Jindrak/O'Haire should reform on RAW. I'm waiting for the bitching to commence on this one (BRING IT~!, AS ), but I like O'Haire and I was a fan of the Natural Born Thrillers in WCW (sans Reno). Plus, it's been said that the company is high on Cade, so maybe they can do something else with him.

 

Conway will be broken up from La Resistance, because Suckbag V.2 is back, but that could be a good thing, since Conway is the most talented of the three.

 

I can see Coach being sent to Smackdown as a foil for a babyface GM. You know, the whole "Bischoff's boy can't get his way anymore" type of storyline.

 

Maybe since they were happy with the commentary at the Rumble, we'll have JR/Tazz on RAW? The thought of Lawler/Cole makes me cringe though.

 

Torrie and Sable will most likely wind up on different shows, although if Torrie were to move to RAW she'd try to overshadow Trish, and I'd rather see a woman capable of putting on a watchable match than Torrie sucking on lollipops and doing nothing of note.

 

I'm wondering if Foley or The Rock count in this draft. I can totally see Orton thinking that he's "gotten away" from Foley via trade, but Foley winds up on that show too.
