JoeDirt Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 From PWInsider: "THE WWE EXPERIENCEPremieres Sunday, May 2 (10:00-11:00 AM, ET/PT). Regularly telecasts Sundays (10:00-11:00 AM, ET/PT). Spike TV presents THE WWE EXPERIENCE, a new and electrifying WWE show. Hosted by the provocative and sultry, WWE Diva Ivory along with WWE's star on the rise, Todd Grisham, this new original morning combines the best of MONDAY NIGHT RAW and WWE SMACKDOWN in one action packed and exciting hour. THE WWE EXPERIENCE will also include plays of the week combined with today's latest music and weekly WWE Superstar segments. -It certainly sounds similar to the old recap shows that used to air on the USA Network." Ooh...Bottom Line meets whatever Smackdown's recap show is called (I can't remember). Let the excitement begin!
JoeDirt Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 Who the fuck is Todd Grisham? He's a guy they hired a month or two ago. He's been on RAW once or twice I think.
dubq Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Who the fuck is Todd Grisham? He's a guy they hired a month or two ago. He's been on RAW once or twice I think. Is he a wrestler? Or "staff"?
razazteca Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Now combine Heat & Velocity to become the ultimate midcard jobber program ever!
Fökai Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Who the fuck is Todd Grisham? He's a guy they hired a month or two ago. He's been on RAW once or twice I think. Is he a wrestler? Or "staff"? He's the heir apparent to Jim Ross' PBP position.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Wow, that seriously sounds like shit.
razazteca Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Wow, that seriously sounds like shit. Anything is better than Snow & Coach.
Aero Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Now combine Heat & Velocity to become the ultimate midcard jobber program ever! Exactly, does that mean not as many recaps on Velocity and Heat now?
JoeDirt Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 Now combine Heat & Velocity to become the ultimate midcard jobber program ever! Exactly, does that mean not as many recaps on Velocity and Heat now? Good point, and I _wish_ not, but I really think they're just trying to hook kids into the show again, so I wouldn't expect Heat or Velocity to change.
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 heh the same rising star that Coach was when they shoved him down our throats
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Wow, that seriously sounds like shit. Anything is better than Snow & Coach. *has constantly growing hatred of recap shows*
Ted the Poster Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Isn't Grisham the guy who interviewed La Resistance on Raw this past Monday? I've always liked Ivory though. Mmmm... milf.
Youth N Asia Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I like Ivory...but this sounds like another crappy Jakked/Metal/Afterburn
Lil' Bitch Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They're cancelling Confidential for this shit? Assholes.
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Wow that is awful. Every single part of it... awful...
KanadianKrusty Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They killed Livewire like 5 years ago because it sucked, why bring the exact same concept back?
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They killed Livewire like 5 years ago because it sucked, why bring the exact same concept back? They ran out of fresh ideas years ago? that's all I got.....
EdwardKnoxII Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They killed Livewire like 5 years ago because it sucked, why bring the exact same concept back? It also says that they will have plays of what happen played with music. You know like Heat first did when they first moved to MTV.
Vyce Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They killed Livewire like 5 years ago because it sucked, why bring the exact same concept back? They ran out of fresh ideas years ago? that's all I got..... And you need nothing else, as you're 100% correct.
Youth N Asia Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Livewire was great when it was live. "They said I couldn't ask this while I was on hold...but..." Then some guy launched into a Klik question. Then they changed the show and it sucked. Although the best part was when Backlund was going nuts on the show. A guy called in and started with "First I'd like to wish Sunny a happy birthday." Bob said "That's enough of this guy!" and cut him off...classic
Guest wrestlingbs Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 A.W.E.S.O.M.O: Lame. I wouldn't brought back ECW tv, but they don't have the roster for that.
The Mandarin Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Well, without Confidential, RAW is the only good thing left. Damn.
TheBigSwigg Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Anyone else notice that it's in the time slot that they were moving HEAT to?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 This is Heat's timeslot replacement, Velocity's timeslot replacement, and now, what about Confidential? Yes, this does sound like essentially like Bottom Line meets Afterburn, but getting Ivory and Todd Grisham on television. So Ivory's no longer a trainer in OVW? Not that this show would take up a huge amount of anyone's time... And I wouldn't exactly call Grisham a "star on the rise", especially considering that even after an announcer turns heel, he is still worthless. Well, they need something to call him.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 This is your brain when you smoke marijuana (scans a copy of the new RAW script including Necrophillia Part II: Kane raped Taker, and the return of 3 Minute Warning with Rikishi) This is your brain when you don't (writing for RAW in 2000 including the Radicals debuting) Any questions?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Yes - what the hell are you smoking?
spman Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Wouldn't it be cheaper and make more sense just to air Classic WWF Programming to start and gain interest towards WWE 24/7? Hell. it'd do better ratings anyways. I'd be shocked if this recap crap every broke a 1.0 rating. Classic WWF could draw AT LEAST a 2.5 every week.
