tpww7 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 (edited) It's 7 AM on the east coast and their's still no spoilers...did they cancel the show or something? EDIT: To include spoilers Dark Match Orlando Jordan v. Carly Colon - typical Jordan match we've seen a trillion times on Velocity...Colon is tiny but had nice subtle heel tactics. Jordan wins with a roll-up.... Velocity Josh Matthews and Bill DeMott come out, no one cares.... Velocity taping..... Theodore Long comes out and introduces us all to the narcissist Mark Jindrak....a pretty sad Lex Luger impression follows and out comes Spike Dudley and the place goes apeshit ( I swear ). Usual spike vs. anyone match highlighted by Jindrak and his spectacular physique nearly blowing a press slam on SPIKE DUDLEY. Jindrak wins. Out comes Cena and the roof damn near blows off. He cuts a rap to hype the PPV. Scotty 2 Hotty v. Akio - Akio is real good...real smooth and nice moveset, of course Scotty is a One-Trick pony and he does his one trick and gets the victory. Kidman and Paul London v. Bashams - God awful boring match that saw a powerbomb attempt on Kidman....but we all know you cant powerbomb Kidman...Shooting Star Press gets the 1,2,3. Smackdown Cole and Tazz come out for SMACKDOWN..... Heart attack recap airs..... Rob Van Dam v. Bubba Dudley - TRICKERY..... D-Von sneaks from behind and attacks RVD because its really his match. Incredibly sloppy match with usual RVD spots...Bubba kept hitting the mat for D-Von but it just got turned into RVD chants by the crowd..funny stuff. D-Von wins with a top rope assisted ddt. Heel beatdown follows and Rey makes the save. Eddie and Kurt are having a chat in the back. Kurt accompanied by WWE musclehead #49871A inform Eddie he is a loose cannon....At least Shawn isnt the only one running around. Cole introduces Jacqueline and they go on and on and then the Chavos come out and its gonna be Chavo v. Jacqueline and Chavo will have one hand tied behind his back at the PPV. Sounds shitty, but at least they are consistent.......Anyways, this leads to a match with the champ and Chavo Sr. and Sr. gets the victory but gets no celebration due to Jacqueline pantsing him and showing everyone Sr.'s man panties....super. Meanwhile Kurt has more to say to Eddie...great. Recap of Booker T's latest stereotypical adventure from last week. FBI v. Booker T - This is Nunzio and Stamboli, by the way still selling the UT beating. Crowd didnt know who to cheer for so they sat on thier hands..and rightfully so. Book wins with the axe kick....lights out and Taker's music hits...Book goes to the stage but he is in the ring. "Epic" staredown follows with T holding his good juju baggie up cuz he aint scared...... Eddie FINALLY comes out and cuts a very long promo and everyone is more fascinated with seeing themselves on the tron then paying attention...Eddie calls out JBL and says "shit" as in im gonna kick the shit outta you and pops the crowd huge....after seemingly forever the longhorn limo rolls out and Eddie breaks the window out (after about 9 tries) but the limo is empty and finally JBL comes out and has Eddie arrested..Christ, I'm sick of the arrest thing. Bradshaw gets heat like 99-2001 X-Pac heat, the go home you dont deserve this opportunity kinda boos...not good.... Rico v. Hardcore Holly - Holly brings Billy Gunn down for reasons that escape me other than perhaps they are forming a team called "Overrated and Overpushed". Holly wins after rolling through a crossbody. Cena v. Sakoda - Very short match...typical Cena as of late: punches, 5 knuckle shuffle F-U, pin...post match saw him F-U Akio onto Sakoda. Main Event = JBL v. Rey Mysterio - Brutally shitty here with JBL no-selling everything and Rey bumping his ass off in a futile attempt to get this horseshit character over. Bradshaw does have a huge set of manboobs to compliment that 10 gallon hat....Bradshaw gets the victory. End of show. Post-show - JBL runs his mouth and UT comes out and JBL starts bargaining with him to go back and send someone else out.."send Paul London out here I'll kick the shit outta him!" Taker isnt having it and he beats him down and gives him the chokeslam, followed by a tombstone after the "tombstone" chant went up. He then posed with Paul Bearer and left followed shortly by JBL to send us all home "happy." Overall it was an alright show although I'm sure Thursday it'll be shitty as ever. This was Reno's first WWE TV broadcast in 13 years so it'll be interesting to see how the crowd comes across on tv. Pops: 1. Undertaker 2. Eddie 3. Cena 4. Eddie saying "shit" 5. Spike Dudley - I'm not kidding Heat: 1. JBL - bad heat however 2. Dudley Boyz 3. Chavo 4. Kurt Angle 5. Chavo Sr. Somwhere else in the night was a Dupree promo of the usual America sucks business. Didn't get to see the obnoxious french dance but you take what you get around here and the fact that TV even was done here surprised me but hopefully we will get more. Guest Krug Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Off the gameFaqs Boards, I can't vouch for validity. SPOILERS - - - - - - RVD vs. Devon (Bubba at ringside)= Nothing special happened really Bubba cheats and gives Devon the victory. The get ready to 3-D RVD and Mysterio comes out and saves the day. Eddie is in a foul mood as usual, Kurt starts scolding Eddie for last weeks massacre he left. Eddie just walks out on him, pissing Kurt off. Booker T (Handicap match) VS. Injured FBI Johnny and Nunzio FBI come out all bandaged everywhere from Taker last week. Booker comes out and beats the living hell out of them, easy match Booker wins. He grabs the mic and starts talking smack about how he just did the same thing Taker did last week and he is just as tough as Taker. *GONG* *Lights go out* *GONG* *Takers music hits, mist floods the ring* Booker T panics and jumps out of the ring, Paul Bearer comes out but Taker is not with him. Suddenly Taker rises from the mist in the ring, stands up and stares down Booker T, as BT frantically leaves. Taker exits as well. JBL announces over the phone to Taz that he is in his limo and is on his way to Lawlor (Smackdown) and will be there shortly. Kurt catches back up with Eddie and warns him not to interfere with JBLs match tonight against Rey Mysterio. Eddie comes out to the ring completely pissed off calling out JBL. JBL's limo comes out, Eddie goes to it personally and tries to open the door..locked, he grabs an object and bashes in the window, but JBL is not inside, suddenly the Reno Police come out and you hear JBL over the mic telling them to arrest Eddie for damaging his limo. JBL comes out and proceeds to taunt Eddie as they put him in handcuffs. Even with the cuffs on Eddie breaks away from them and tries to attack JBL, JBL beats on Eddie and the police haul Eddie away. Renee Dupree talks smack over the Titantron to Cena. Hardcore Holly w/Mr. Ass vs. Rico w/Haas Winner: Hardcore Holly. John Cena vs. One of those stupid guys that hung out with Tajiri right before he transfered..sorry don't pay attention to nobodies' names. (Mordecai also had a titantron during the entrances here) Winner John Cena of course.. JBL vs. Rey Mysterio. Match went on for a bit, but JBL ended it with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb and a C. From Hell. JBL grabs the mic and starts talking tons of garbage about Eddie and how he guarantees a victory over him at Judgement Day on and on he also proceeds to bash Reno..when suddenly *Gong* *Gong* *Lights go out, music hits* *Mist fills the area* JBL about has a damn heart attack in the ring. Paul Bearer and The Undertaker emerges. He begins his slow walk toward the ring. JBL, starts throwing a tantrum in the ring..at forseeing the upcoming doom. Taker gets in the ring and proceeds to remove said coat and hat, and stares a hole through JBL. JBL starts saying he has no quarrel with Taker, there both Americans and what not *Us crowd begin a "KICK HIS ASS CHANT"* JBL gets pissed at us, and starts pleading with Taker and Paul some more *Again we chant* JBL starts getting pissed and says he is a little nervous, but isn't "really" scared of Taker...Says he is going to put down the mic and leave and let Taker talk to his fans since he is quite popular and all. JBL starts to set down the mic, then trys to attack Taker. Taker almost immediately gets him into a chokeslam..then picks him up for the Tombstone. The End. Like I said I mentioned the more important stuff that happened, I'm sure a more detailed account will be up on a site soon...so let this get you by.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Looks like Hardcore-Ass vs. Rico/Haas at Judgment Day. Sure, they both suck in singles but I wouldn't actually mind that to spice up the tag team division, if done right.

jester 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Are we sure the Judgment Day card isn't Undertaker vs. The Entire Smackdown roster in a handicap match (with the Smackdown roster having the handicap)? I don't know if it's the booking or him not feeling it or a combination of both, but jeez, even HHH is jobbing and making new guys look good. Seriously, can we get Taker a McMahon to fuck so he doesn't feel his spot is threatened?
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Looks like a nothing show, nothing mind-blooglingly stupid like some recent shows, but still nothing i'd waste time watching. I can't fathom anyone actually paying money to watch Judgment Day the way it's looking.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Holy shit... Do we seriously only have three announced matches? I'd say that we'll have matches made on Heat, such as Jacqueline VS Chavo Guerrero Jr. for the Cruiserweight Championsip. *Yawn* Even WWE personnel are predicting one of the lowest PPV buyrates of the year, if not of all time. Congratulations.

Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I love how in the WWE world attacking your mother = not illegal, but smashing a window = illegal. And yes, they really need to come up with something else besides these stupid arrest angles everytime somebody fueds. Hardcore Ass (man, that's better than ChuckaBilly) gets a title shot? Last time Hardcore got a push he was booed out of the ring during the SD battle royal. But the tag team division is dead already, so who cares. And to mention something that has been overlooked in between Jackie winning the CW title and Bradshaw blowing the JD PPV buyrate: Renee Dupree is looking more and more like a failed experiment. He hasn't done anything remotely interesting and his interview segments suck ass. I think he's going to land on the pile of "jobbers for life" soon.
Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Can anyone explain to me how Taker kicking the shit out of someone, helps establish them as a credible Title contender?? If they are going through with this Bradshaw push, they could at least TRY To make him look somewhat strong or credible for the PPV. Putting him over Rey is a start, but having him buried by Taker on the same show is counterproductive.
Guest SpiderFan Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I'm kinda glad SD sucks this week since the series finale of Frasier is on Thursday night. 10 to 1 WWE blames that for a bad rating this week though, instead of the lack of anything worth watching on this show. I still can't believe the same company that's booking Raw is doing this stuff. Raw's already setting up their PPV, which isn't for a month and half, and booking matches for the next week show, while SD has 3 matches announced for a PPV that's THIS SUNDAY. BHK 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I'm praying that they announce more matches on the show. If they don't, even if they announce more on Heat, they're looking at a ghastly buyrate.

BHK 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I just pray that Chavo Jr gets the title back this Sunday. If he does, and the only point of Jackie's reign was to get Chavo a match on PPV, then London(or anyone else for that matter) couldn't have taken jackie's place.....why? Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I'm feeling a bit sardonic... GREAT things about this week's Smackdown: -Not only does Jackie/Chavo go to PPV as predicted, but we have the WACKY twist of Chavo's arm being tied behind his back! -Peroxide Boys probably getting a last minute match - a Tag Team Title Shot to boot. Phil Rippa in DVDVR 145 was exactly right when he dubbed Holly "the de facto crowd killer". It'll happen again on Sunday. -Eddie getting arrested for the second feud in a row, since he's an EX-CON~! I liked how one spoiler report put it: "So JBL's limo pulls up, and Eddie attacks the limo. But Eddie is stupid, you see, because JBL wasn't in the limo." -Cena in yet another squash. When was the last time he was in a competitive match? Why do so few realize that since this squash streak started, his role on the show has diminished? Do any of his fans want that? -Rey continuing to be a JTT"S". Should have said you still had a headache, Rey. That excuse works for many things. -Only one official added match for a grand total of 4. One can surmise that 2 others seem likely, but that just makes a total of 6. I guess they'll be REALLY REALLY long, which is only a good thing if these matches involve people that are capable of doing them, or who people actually want to see in matches of that length. Smackdown continues to be a joke, and it's still amusing to mock it - when it ceases even being that, then it'll become a total waste of time.
